Well I did stuff even dumber when I was much younger. On Windows 95, all those generic, non-exe data files looked pretty useless sometimes because they're never clicked on. So one day I just deleted a bunch of them to clean out space. :P I think we had to have our computer reinstalled or somthing after that. :o -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

I really liked Exile 3. Many of the towns were run-of-the-mill with not much to them, and all of the inns and such had the exact same architecture, but the main plus is that the thing in massive, and, while taking a long time to play, it never fails to keep you interested and want to keep going. Nodework was state-of-the-art in places, where Jeff Vogel pioneered new techniques to create things such as moving walls and large dialog pics. :P :D In the end, I would give it a 8.6. ------------- I have put up the average, counting practically everything that looked like a rating and using BainIhrno's technique of dropping the highest and lowest scores after seven votes (as is the case here). I believe E3 is 70 outdoor sections in size, but you can check me if you want. Oh, cool, got it. I don't think I've ever found anything before searching the mountains, but cool. EDIT: Eh, well, I thought I did, but we seem to have drawn a blank on the location of "Eagle Rock". However, hintbooks can be good for occasionally relieving the urge to crazily lop your mishappen computer around the room. -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

Exile 3: Ruined World is the third game (er, scenario) by Jeff Vogel. I have become curious as to how you would rate it against BoE scenarios. -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

I know where the first ones are, but how about the second? Some sage in Gidrik told me to look in the mountains north of Aminro, but where exactly is it? There becomes a certain lust for a second Mithral Broadsword. ;) -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

I don't see why we must restrict technical questions here to Spiderweb only. After all, some of us know more about computers than why some game just crashed again. -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

Heh, for a minute there I thought Alo had been given a custom title. That would cause a stir to be remembered. Maybe also a moniker change back to Alorael. I have survived yet another titling spree. :D -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

As a sidenote, every time I run AdAware, it comes up invariably with a bunch of plain files labeled "tracking coordinate". What are those exactly? -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

You never know anything about your karma rating when you have UBB. Someone could rate you a 1 star and your weighted score could go up. And no, I have not hacked the database server, as I do not currently want to promptly lose by precious account, but if I could just figure out the table and field names... Or, alternatively, you could rate some invisible member one star, quickly record the transaction page that pops up for a fraction of a second, and mess around with the GET variables. -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

What? And I payed $45 for the Exile Trilogy! Oh, well. Kinda like buying a new computer. It's probably worth the money anyway, though. -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |
