You're saying that Michael Jackson deserves to be imprisoned for his entire life for this mediocre crime? The adolescents might be traumatized years later, but there was no compulsion.

The "memory" of computers is frequently misinterpreted. My iPod contains 320.000.000.000 bits. The brains of the average human contain only 95.000.000.000 neurons. This doesn't mean, though, that my iPod is more intelligent than the average human, or even has a better memory than the average human, as some presume.

Doubtlessly, you were aware and conscious of this. Some others, possibly, weren't. Reading the word "understand", I decided to point this out.

Coincidentally, every active member has been mentioned already.

My favourite members are Thuryl, Dolphin and Alorael, for their intelligence and respectfulness.

Statistics evidenced that education stimulates the pallium slightly.

However, I believe that few people would not be increasing the activity of their cerebral cortex without instructions, by self-education.

Global Warming or Global Cooling in General

I don't see any possibility how the global temperature could decrease significantly soon, besides a potential super eruption of Yellowstone Volcano. The clouds of hydrogenium sulfide which would then spread amongst the atmosphere of the Earth would prevent light from reaching the surface.

"He was not a mathematical robot, meant to summarize the universe for our puny race, but a strong-willed scientist, stubbornly wrestling his unsolved problems."
-Nigel Calder, author of "Einstein and the Universe"

In other terms, Einstein was not infallible. However, his unimaginable motivation made him the most important scientist of the twentieth century.

Also, I'm quite certain that Leonardo Da Vinci, which I firmly believe to be the greatest genius in human history, was not even nearly as intelligent as Thuryl.

I would also like to point out that highly intelligent adolescents are rarely good students.

The fact that some are more intelligent than me does not directly fuel my sense of inferiority. The jealousy occurring with it, however, does amplify my consciousness of my inadequacy.

Eagle, according to a relatively reliable intelligence test, Einstein had an IQ of 145.

Alorael, are you honestly believing that you are less intelligent than the average human? Presumably, you have an optometrical disorder, disabling you to sufficiently, correctly and comfortably perform the act of perceiving or reproducing information, and impairing the trustworthiness of the IQ test you took. I recommend to contact an optometrist.

Of course, the test you took could also have been simply undependable, even in comparison to today's standards.

Another, more obvious possibility is that you were simply demotivated, nervous or tired. An acquaintance of me scored 165, 109 and 79 for the same intelligence test.

As for me, my main properties are low intelligence, arrogance, and perfectionism.

The tsunami, at least, does not threat humanity with extinction.

The greenhouse effect is horribly underestimated, I believe. If the temperature on Earth increases with only 10%, the oceans will vaporize themselves, since hydrogenium is a greenhouse gas as well. The Earth will become a planet comparable with Venus, and Earth's temperature will become approximately 1200 degrees Celsius or 1473 degrees Kelvin.

I have a vexatious urge to express my loathing towards Bush' injudicious supporters, but - I've said too much already.

Please, don't obligate the moderators to lock this thread. Moral issues such as these have no beneficial result, but often cause much anger.
