I simply couldn't let such an interesting topic go down without a fight, so this is my feeble attempt at a mildly interesting casting of Resurrect Thread.

I really don't think it will come as a surprise that Kogar here has yet to have a kiss. However, I have turned down offers, being a romantic of sorts deep down, and the offers didn't come from girls that I had any feelings for.

Kudos to you fellows, and yes, I realized that shortly after posting, that's what I get for playing both BoA and BoE entirely too much in the same day. But thanks, anyway.

I can't find any place to download scenarios (except bahssikava), would anyone be willing to give a poor, adventureless soul a link? I'm looking for A Perfect Forest, Bandits II, and Canopy in particular.

I've been around for darn near forever and a day, so all the oldbies know who I am. I am *intensely* too lazy to post a picture, so I'll just say I'm nothing too special in the looks department.

I'm putting this here because no one goes to the BoA forum (well, im not helping that any). I plan on using BoA for all it's worth, like so many others, but should I focus on my own new ideas and forget about BoE scenarios, or take some time to remake some of the classics (such as Gallows). I plan on getting consent from the original maker, of course.

I sincerely apologize for disappearing from the face of the earth for a great deal of time, right at the end of one of my favorite RP's, Holding the Tavern Front (or someodd like that). I probly kinda ruined it there, but I do not know, for it is dead on the list (probably for some time now). Once again, sorry for killing the finale of a good RP (not all would call it so, but hey, it beat the Greywraith one).

OOC: First: It's more than logical that this attack was leading up to something like this. Gerald has no honor to defend by pressing such an attack for no other reason than to kill his own soldiers. He also is dastardly enough to do such a thing. Second, nothing seems to challenge us, unless it is extremely powerful. Thus, a Titan. I also thought the hawkmen were a little too easily dispatched (even though I helped). I also didn't intend the Titan to form INSIDE the inn. I was referring to the battlement wall, not the walls of the inn structure. Oh well.
IC: Vincent didn't know what to do. He was still stunned by such a mighty creature. Vincent finally decided to do what he thought he wouldn't ever do again. He let all the negative energy in the area, all the fury, all the anger, all the hate, flow into him. His body roiled. His skin stretched, his muscles strained, his bones ached. He grew in stature until he resembled some sort of horrible Demon. His armor and clothes had mostly torn away, leaving him wearing naught but a leather skirt of sorts (worn for such an occasion). His body was bloated and red, he had grown real claws and teeth, and his body was sprouting bony horns and spikes on his head, knees, elbows, and back. His humanity left him. He charged the Titan, oblivious of the danger. A blow from the Titan sent him into the remainder of the inn wall with a resounding "thud". Vincent, undeterred, started hurling stones from the inn wall at the creature. they were having little effect. He finally reeled back for a breath weapon. A gout of black, burning fluid sprayed all over the titan. The titan didn't even respond to the attack. A boulder came flying at Vincent, who wasn't able to dodge it. He was partially buried in rubble from the inn as he connected. He began to dig himself out.

My old account deserved Angry Dwarf as a title, as I was, in fact, very angry at the time. I have mellowed out, though. I have always lurked in the shadows, watching every move of... you people. I had account #300 something and I had less than 400 posts. Like I said, I lurk.

OOC: I alluded to his dark powers in several past posts, but he never used them. Don't expect him to be in the best of shape when this bout runs out. You heard what happened last time, and all he did was two spells of moderate power (WARNING: FORESHADOWING).
IC: Vincent's body was straining at the influx of energy, but he loved the fight too much. The Geraldians were all but routed. Suddenly, there was another flash of reddish light, but from behind the wall. There was a lot of roaring, and the sounds of rattling chains. After a cacophonous jangle of chains hitting the ground, a horrible yell filled everyone's ears. When Vincent saw it, even his jaw fell open. The Geraldians must have done the entire attack to lead up to this: a Titan had been magically transported there. This was going to be the hardest battle any of them had ever faced.
OOC: This is a titan in the Greek sense, not the crappy good titan portrayed in D&D. In case you didn't know, the titan carries a huge mallet, and has magical powers. Good luck, everybody.

The charred bones were more of a frightening technique than an actual defense, and it worked. The soldiers were visibly shaken by the bodies shambling out towards them, combined with the brutal fighting of Schostas. Vincent was interested in the hawkmen foes. As Aarow decimated their ranks, the remaining hawkmen regrouped and charged for him, seeing him weakened slightly. Vincent burst forth at them, landing on one's back and snapping it's head off grusomely. He lept from that one to another, as it screeched and moved away. Vincent was going to miss, when his black, smoking tongue shot out of his mouth, wrapped itself around the horrified hawkman's neck, and began to melt through. It did its gory job well, as Vincent hit the ground. The hawkmen all attacked the frightening monster Vincent was with their morningstars and swords. He let them hit him, most absorbed by his chainmail, and the rest healed by the dark energy. They stopped their assault in awe. Vincent looked at them, then lunged his head at one of them and spit out a massive net of rancid goo. It coated three of them, and stuck them in place. The others were shot by friendly arrows as they fled. Vincent killed two of the hawkmen quickly out of spite, but left the last one. He grabbed the last one by the jaw, looked it in the eyes, smiled, then bit out it's throat with his black magical fangs.

Vincent heard the clamor behind him from the teleported soldiers. He lept from the wall and ran toward the soldiers. Suddenly, they stopped to watch Shadow Wolf show his display of martial superiority. Vincent remembered something. The undead monks ran from the cellar to combat the Geraldians.

Vincent was overjoyed at the sounds of battle with the Geraldians. He made an inhuman cry of joy as he leaped from the parapet of the wall. As he descended, two large puffs of black smoke in the shapes of wings sprouted from his back for an instant to cease his fall. When he landed, he decided this would be a good time to test his revitalized power. He arched his back, extended his head out, put his arms back (he looked something like a skier after shoving forward with his sticks) as the black fluid flowed into his eyes. The roared horribly, and with little warning, spewed forth a gout of caustic, black-green slime all over the Geraldians in a conical area. The slime even made the noesguard on his helm melt off, making Vincent tear it from his head hastily. As he wiped the sludge from his mouth with his arm, black, insubstantial claws sprouted from his hands. He looked at them with horror. Instead of using them, Vincent pulled forth his sword, and began cutting a brutal swath through their ranks, energized with unholy energy. He was so engrossed in the battle, he startd channeling dark force through the blade. He started cutting men in two at the waist, severing heads, and chopping off limbs in his grisly dance of blood, gore, and evil. He only ceased when his blade melted from the unhallowed magicks flowing through it. He then looked at his claws. He would risk a transformation, he thought. As he was distracted by his moral quandry, a blade struck home in the top of his shoulder. The Geraldian had made the descision for him. He tore the face from the soldier's head and shoved it in the soldier's own mouth. He was suffering many wounds, but the dark power healed most in a short time. He couldn't continue on like this much longer, though. He once again made the wings of black mist, but launched himself into the air, and onto the walltop. He stood looking at the destruction he caused. Over a hundred, he thought. Beautiful.

OOC: But, I wanted to be in the duel...
IC: Vincent crossed his arms as he watched the two armies glare at each other.
"I can't take it! You could cut the tension with a knife."
Vincent, fully recovered from his impromptu use of his dread powers, had been re-energized with the dark power that suffused his frame. Suppressing it for all that time made him weak, he thought. He loved the feeling, the raw power. Next time, he thought, next time he'd be able to use it to even more extent, with almost no overextention. Maybe even a transformation! No, no, that's what got him exiled from his own home, by his own father, no less. He desperately wanted to kill Gerald, and his whole army, at that.
"He may be an influential man, but he's not at home, and he's vulnerable." And thus, Vincent planned the downfall of Gerald.

OOC: Things have gotten a bit bonkers as of late (not saying i didn't help in that). I'm waiting for someone else to instigate the action, as I sort of took center stage for a moment, and don't want to hog the RP. Also, I wasn't powergaming, was I? I hope I didn't seem like "bad things happen so he stepped out and made things go boom and passed out the end."

OOC: So, the Lancian remnant army has been peacefully sitting outside the ruined wall, letting us build up a counter-attack? We should finish them off, or at least have them do something (they ARE still out there, right?).
IC: Vincent wasn't exactly happy about having company outside. He had planned on moving the zombified monks out of the cellar, but not in view of everyone. After the fiasco with the dragon, a plate-cased man rode up to the inn gate, with the insignia of the Lancians, but with a white flag flying high from a wooden baton sticking out from a leather thong on the side of the horse. He rode up to the gate and motioned to Vincent, who happened to be closest. Without saying a word, he handed a wax-sealed envelope to Vincent. He then bolted away as fast as he could.
"What?" Vincent said out loud as he read the note. A few people outside turned around. Vincent held out the letter at arm's length to everyone outside, then showed it to everyone in the common area.
People of the Middle Passing,
We, the servants of the rightful King Lance, know of your recent problems with the horrible and unjust ursurper Gerald. We ask of you to join us, and let us use the Middle Passing as a stepping stone for our final, overwhelming offensive against the foul Geraldians. We also kindly ask of any assistance your brave warriors could provide in this crusade of right. After the inevitable success of the campaign, Marmadas the innkeeper and all decendants thereof would be given a healthy stipend for the duration of their natural lives. Also, the Middle passing would be free of all taxes for as long as it stands, regardless of ownership. Once again, the great and merciful King Lance humbly asks the good folk and grand warriors of the Middle Passing to assist him in removing malicious King Gerald once and for all. A herald will be sent in one day's time to gain an answer.

OOC: I'd say it's a little late to join in this one, Sauron.
IC: Vincent awoke in the room he had somewhat claimed. His body was covered in dried blood, and he ached across his entire frame. His crusted equipment was piled in the corner. There were crude bandages all over his chest, arms, and legs. The healer had done a quite shabby job. Understandable, he thought. A pan of water had been left in his room, so he cleaned himself and his equipment as best he can. When he came to the bottom of the stairs, the entire room became instantly silent. As he walked to the door, someone, he didn't see who, slipped him a piece of paper.
"At least I don't need to stay in there." Vincent was off to check on the dragon.

OOC: Well, don't blame me for not knowing the anatomy of a Dark Wyrm. I thought Wyrm, which is a dragon, which has arms. Also, the monks will remain animated until destroyed.
IC: Vincent had stunned the Geraldians into paralyzed horror. Vincent ordered the undead monks to attack the now very frightened Geraldians, who started running up the stairs from the despicable things. They never made it to the second flight of stairs. Body parts came rolling down the stairs as Vincent watched the cellar entrance. He decided it was time to completely finish off the Wyrm. Vincent held out his hands towards the chopped up corpse, as though warming his hands by a fire. The various chunks and heaps of flesh from the Wyrm very slowly became insubstantial, then turned into thick, black fog that billowed toward Vincent. It flowed into his hands. Vincent turned toward the other warriors and exhaled a very large breath, completely black. As his eyes turned back to green, he fell to his knees hunched over. Blood started dripping down Vincent's head, from his nose and mouth, and down his arms.
"I need some help."
He then fell face foreward to the ground.

OOC: I just had an interesting thought, so here goes.
IC: When Vincent reanimated the monks, necromantic energies flooded the room. The Wyrm sensed this, and it sucked them up greedily. Vincent noticed the death mists swirling on the floor towards the Dark Wyrm. As the energy entered the Wyrm, it's wounds started to seal up. Vincent turned angrily on his heels.
"NO!" he roared as he pointed his palm at the beast. He focused more malign energy into a black, pulsating sphere, and launched it at the Wyrm. When it contacted the shoulder of the Wyrm, it blossomed into an explosion of black, screeching ribbons that flew in every direction. The power faded before it contacted anyone but the worm. When the black cloud around the impact point faded, the Wyrm's arm was hanging on by a few tendons and strips of flesh. It hit the floor a few seconds later. Even the Wyrm was stunned. The creature may have kept itself safe from Shadow Wolf's magic, but it's missing arm isn't going to come back so easily.
