Unless you killed the golem in the library that is not hostile and is in fact quite inclined to talk to you, you're fine. —Alorael, who isn't sure what to do if you did kill that golem. Well, actually you probably get what you need anyway. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

I don't like the idea of culls, but other solutions never seem to solve the problem and always seem to be phenomenally expensive. In the absence of better alternatives, I guess handing out the guns is the only way to do it. ?Alorael, who means handing out the guns to qualified people. A sniper rifle in the wrong hands would be disastrous, not to mention a terrible waste. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

I'd prefer "The Ever-Changing Title," even if it never did change... ?Alorael, whose moniker is not ever-changing. It's regularly changing. There's a huge difference. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

Not anymore! I've taken the plunge, gone over the edge, and maybe into the deep end. ?Alorael, who has no intention of locking a topic created in his honor. If it does die, it will have to go with his trophy locked topics in GC. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

No, I'm not starting a new account, and I'm not Aloreal. You should be able to figure out what I am doing. The beginning, at least... Let's not let the tension just dissipate that fast. A hint of future doom is amiss. ?Alorael, who also made his 7500th post in this topic. You can be doubly proud! I actually have no accounts besides this one. Yes, a terrible flaw, I know. As I posted elsewhere, I just don't think an account switch would be in any way unique or meaningful. I briefly considered shutting down General, but then I realized that that might cause more trouble than I really want to bring about. So... one post left. The truth will be seen soon enough. ?Alorael, who thinks it is fitting that his last post as Postmaster General is in this topic. So he'll take a moment to say farewell, title! It's been a great having you, and no stupid Your Postliness will ever replace you. Sniffles, sobs, and all that... Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

Nuns have less practical experience, on the whole. Priests are the way to go. ?Alorael, who has had better luck with certain Jewish religious practitioners. While they are not, perhaps, as familiar with Holy Scepters in the Christian sense, they are very professionally acquainted with the Jewish equivalent. Look. I've resigned myself to reaching a state of Your Postliness. The question now is how I will handle it. Sock puppets are out of the question. The new account thing has been done into the ground. Sadly, I have decided that I have little choice. Extravagant gestures are pointless and unnecessary. Others have accepted titles quietly. I will do the same. With one slight exception. ?Alorael, who is sure everyone will notice his minor act of rebellion right away. Just a few... more... posts... 1. I'm not quite sure what outshadowing is. 2. Whatever it is, I'm fairly certain that a significant percentage of Spiderwebbers would disagree that Exile does it to Avernum. ?Alorael, who thinks he's probably part of that percentage. BoA even more so than the other games; whether you love or hate the Avernum engine, you can't argue that the BoA scripts give much more power to the scenario designers than BoE's nodes. Since fixing the valley is the entire plot of the scenario and saving the children is part of that quest, you probably do want to just head to the walkthrough. If you're stuck in a more specific section, post here and help will be provided. —Alorael, who recalls entering a cave, fighting many lizards, and getting the fang from that. He can't remember where that cave was, unfortunately, but you can either wander the perimeter of Skylark Vale or head to the walkthrough in the docs for that, too. If the Holy Scepter is wielded upon another when neither party has been properly sanctified for such activity, the pair may indeed be cast into the everlasting fire. If the blessing of God has been given but the second party is protected from the touch of the Holy Scepter, then they shall be condemned to the flames. ?Alorael, who now has an appointment with his father confessor to keep. Keep those Holy Scepters where they belong, now. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

It worries me deeply that Alec now associates me with Asuka. Must I always be an object and not a person? Do I not have feelings!? When you torment me, do I not whine like any other manchild? ?Alorael, who would not feel comfortable comatose anywhere near Alec, Asuka or no Asuka. A proper example: quote:tl, dr ?Alorael, who has to admit he posted this mainly just so he could post Lucky's speech. Yes, this is spam of the basest kind. But thus, it is even more of a shining example of "tl, dr" usage. Take it as you will. If instant messages are your problem, just set your IM program of choice to block all messages from unknown senders. If that's too radically isolationist for you, see if there's a setting that lets you check the sender before receiving the IM. It's usually not too hard to pick up which ones are from legitimate people and which are mindless bots spewing garbage links. ?Alorael, who has found another solution as well: avoid instant messaging like the plague. In fact, if you cut the power cables and phone lines connected to your house, you will be entirely free of all forms of harassment! Well, except for stalkers, but who stalks in person nowadays? There is currently no title after you know what, but Drakey might decide to fix that if it ever becomes a problem. Then again, if it ever becomes a problem, we'll have more to worry about than just that. Anyway, the situation is becoming serious. I am in danger of going over my self-imposed limit. I will not do so. Therefore, I have reached an impasse, quite literally. I can't pass 7500 without making a liar of myself. I hope that Drakey sees the truth before it is too late. A custom title is the only way to avoid disaster. If he cannot be swayed, perhaps Stareye will do the right thing. And if he refuses as well, then my course is clear. ?Alorael, who almost hopes the admins decide to be curmudgeons just so he can find a dastardly plot to make them rue the day they failed to provide a simple custom title. Almost. But then he sees that Holy Grail, that title, before him, and he knows that there is no plot that can replace it in his heart, no matter how many dark, smoke-filled rooms may be involved. TM, while I understand quite well that you didn't read the story, you cannot pass judgement upon its length before even receiving the file. Therefore, you have won my momentary ire! Congratulations! ?Alorael, who supposes that the circumstances are mitigated by the fact that he was all but literally asking for it. Still... Have you no shame? Considering the fact that the latter is billed as a remake of the former, I'd say so. —Alorael, who thinks BoA is the least similar to it's Exile counterpart. With mostly new scenarios it won't feel like a replay. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

I've also ordered many times by credit card and had no trouble whatsoever. I've never heard anyone complain of problems. Spiderweb is a real company with real paperwork filed to prove it. Even if something did happen, Jeff couldn't just disappear with your money. ?Alorael, who also thinks an email to Jeff might get the information needed to buy games with a money order. He wants to make money, and he'd probably be more than happy to help you give it to him. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |
