If we had an option as a vahnatai it would mess up the plot, being most of the vahnatai are evil. -------------------- And everybody say....Yatta! Posts: 1287 | Registered: Thursday, August 14 2003 07:00 |

Do you have the full version or just the demo? If you have the FULL version, go to Dharmon, in the side passage where the rebels are attempting to tunnel into the mayor's hiding spot. The tunnel is on the east side of town, and I believe there is a set of pincers there. EDIT: Also in Grindstone, I think there is a merchant that sells tools. Ay, we sure need some new topics in the Exile Boards with Avernum 4 out now and everyone playing it instead of Exile. So whatcha like better, two handed swords or a pole weapon. Sure, the Black Halberd is really powerful. But what about two Magic Waveblades? Or two Flaming Swords? Poll Information This poll contains 3 question(s). 17 user(s) have voted. quote:That would be a very bad idea. As Alorael said, adding that item would be skipping a huge chunk of the plot, probably making the rest of the game very hard to beat. For example, if you took the item immediately, quite a few quests would be unavailiable to you, unabling you to get powerful spells such as Arcane Shield and Lightning Spray. -------------------- And everybody say....Yatta! I stole a good Geneforge idea, hasting my mage and casting Minor Summoning over and over, which kept Hrickis attacking the Giant Rats while my fighters and archer killed him. -------------------- And everybody say....Yatta! Posts: 1287 | Registered: Thursday, August 14 2003 07:00 |

****SPOILER AHEAD**** * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Eventually you recieve a quest to hack off a piece of the shade. You give it to a mage in the Castle and head out to do other things. You go to the Basalt Fortress and pick up a control rod while killing Rentar. You bring it back to the Castle and give it back to the mage (Her name slipped my mind). She gives you an item that will make the Shades unable to heal themselves. After that it's just brute strength, and a lot of potions. I find fire works well against all three Shades. This should probably be in Tech Support. Anyways, if you've tried reinstalling it already, the only idea I would have is restarting your computer or checking in the A4 Folder and seeing if anything is out of place. Sorry if this isn't much of a help, but I'm at a loss. :o -------------------- And everybody say....Yatta! Posts: 1287 | Registered: Thursday, August 14 2003 07:00 |

Likes: :) -The Portal System is awesome. :) -There are endless sub-quests that you can do. :) -There are great items you can get without having to do insane puzzles. (Tower of Shifting Floors ><) :) -The graphics are great, a mix of Avernum and Geneforge was a great idea. :) -The creatures look so much better than in previous games. :) -The whole "Fine Leather" and "Fine Steel" idea was great. Now I can get custom made pants! Dislikes: :o -The 3D grid system is a bit confusing. :o -The demo itself is a bit small. But if you regester it's so much better, as it usually is. The only game that I rated "terrible" was Homeland. I haven't played Lost Souls, Galatic Core, or Ocean Bound though because I have a Windows, so I'm not sure how those games were. -------------------- And everybody say....Yatta! Posts: 1287 | Registered: Thursday, August 14 2003 07:00 |

Well, I talked to the head wizard in Patrick's Tower and he said something about "The Demonslayer only being for heroes" then he mentioned something about "A demon underneath the Tower". I found an Eyebeast and a Shambler underneath and killed them, and still he said that the quest is unfinished. I can't figure out how else to get down there, besides a tunnel that is filled with rocks that I can't use. Any help? -------------------- And everybody say....Yatta! I just downloaded A4 ( :D ) and I'm just wondering, how do I get into Formello? EDIT: I heard someone say that you had to complete the mine quest for Fort Draco, and I killed the Queen Worm and also the Vahnatai person too. What do I do now? [ Wednesday, March 08, 2006 04:13: Message edited by: Happa Tai Yattai ] -------------------- And everybody say....Yatta!
