Given that you download scenarios with your web browser, and they are not hosted by Spiderweb Software, there is really no way it could be otherwise. You can also open the scenarios with the scenario editor. -------------------- Encyclopaedia • Archives • Members • RSS [Topic / Forum] • Blog • Polaris • NaNoWriMo Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair. I seem to remember that this line of the CoC once ran "non-Miscellaneous", even when I joined (which was months after Misc was closed). Tyranicus doesn't sound very medieval, not even Roman when you think about it. What mother is going to name her child that? :P I can't talk really. Although apparently my name would fit into India quite smoothly... Edit: That's Arancaytar, for the newbies. Just change the town name from "Hilltop Sanctum" to something else. :P And I was wondering why it had a kind of "hasty" appearance to it. I haven't had enough experience with designing - does BoA have Stuff Done Flags? By the way, in Fort Ouranil, the wizard Loranzo leaves his room if you leave the door open. Given that it's quite simple to block NPCs from leaving their rooms, this could be fixed. Next, the mountain wall directly east of Relias, southeast of Liam's trading post, has a hole through which one can see the blackness beyond. --- I can't get into the Hilltop Sanctum by the way - does Oakleaf mean another Sanctum when I meet him in Relias? Edit: Okay, it seems I just needed to chat with Elm first... Just started playing it and it is an amazing work. It already gives me the same feeling of depth as Bahssikava did, and I haven't yet played for an hour. Still, there are some slight problems and inconsistencies, and a few rough edges that might be improved. I'm playing version 2.0.0, by the way; haven't checked if there's a new one. 1) Some of the non-essential townspersons have an "empty" generic dialogue; ie no short descriptions (along the line of "You make small talk" etc) at all. 2) Relias seems a bit empty - that is, the living quarters don't have any townspeople at all. Is that intended? 3) In the inn, it might just be that the man at the bar ended up with the dialogue of the woman at the other table. For once, he is referred to as female (and I'm quite sure it's a man), and for the other, he is supposedly watching the merchants arguing, but his back is actually turned on them... 4) After you meet Oakleaf in Relias, he tells you to find him at the Sanctum. However, if you then explore a bit (which I always do), you will find a place east of Orrin where Oakleaf gets angry that you haven't yet picked up any artifacts from the temple. :) -------------------- Encyclopaedia Ermariana • Forum Archives • Forum Statistics • RSS [Topic / Forum] My Blog • Polaris • I eat novels for breakfast. "Serious and serious"? Or do you mean "serious :D " and "serious", and they are two different things? :P Edit: Sometimes I miss the second page, yep. Leap second? Is this like latitudinal time differences? Side note: I managed to fool someone with "latitudinal time difference" once. Told him that Rome was on a different time than Stockholm because it was further south. Took him a few moments to call the bullcrap. :P -------------------- Encyclopaedia Ermariana • Forum Archives • Forum Statistics • RSS [Topic / Forum] My Blog • Polaris • I eat novels for breakfast. The "software" comment was in response to Spring saying InvisionFree was a good choice. It is indeed, when you go by free forum hosts (not saying much). Perhaps the best choice. But that doesn't determine the success of a board, only the ease of maintaining it. I've seen a community live on an ezboard for six years straight. In fact, the Lyceum also isn't exactly declining, and that is also on ezboard. -------------------- Encyclopaedia Ermariana • Forum Archives • Forum Statistics • RSS [Topic / Forum] My Blog • Polaris • I eat novels for breakfast. The best BBS software cannot help you grow a community. And given that this looks rather similar to the last of the many failures (what was its name again? I only remember Jadewolf held some position there), it will probably die like the rest. Warning, not scaring. You do know that the truth behind Spiderweb (or rather below the door - *gestures at the turtle pit*) is far more hideous. And guess what, you stick around and eventually you realize custom titles do not matter one wit, as does karma, that modships are rather a heavy responsibility than a nice position, and that a thousand more or less on your postcount isn't really that important. You are an oldbie when you realize being an oldbie is nothing prestigious. -------------------- Encyclopaedia Ermariana • Forum Archives • Forum Statistics • RSS [Topic / Forum] My Blog • Polaris • I eat novels for breakfast. It's now 1 am local time, and the new year is already beginning well with a minor scuffle in our neighbourhood concerning some drunken neighbours aiming explosives at our doors and windows. We probably should have called the police, but by the time we recovered from the shock sufficiently to do anything they had already stopped and gone inside. They will open their front door tomorrow to look upon the entire mess they have made all the way down the street, collected into a nice big heap on their doormat. Let no one say I don't have creative ideas to resolve conflicts non-violently. :) -------------------- Encyclopaedia Ermariana • Forum Archives • Forum Statistics • RSS [Topic / Forum] My Blog • Polaris • I eat novels for breakfast.
