Its clear that nobody here saw the rage of burned pitta (if anybody knows what it is). I forgot once to turn down on the heating of the microwave before starting the machine. the room filled up with smoke. never thought a pitta could actually make so much smoke...

EDIT: yes, Synergy is actually quite right (see next post). This is a useless comment, not to say redundant. That actually boils down to the same. Oh well.

Why is it actually Alorael doesn't get a custom title?

Speaking of surrealism and the previous slightly perplexingly redundant comment, did you mean "seriouser and seriouser"?

Anyone here ever seen Jan Svänkmajer's surrealistic stop-motion animation/live rendition of Alice (in Wonderland)?

MagmaDragoon, it´s really not something new that such a topic goes after about 5 posts completely off-topic, even if that´s offically against the CoC.

You know, why the Sliths are green - because of their scales.

Maybe you know why some slith eyes were once red - ´cause the demons, which led them were red.

But why are the eyes of the Slith Lord Followers red? Because they see the remains of their enemies always before the battle begins!

'Tis but a technicality... anyway, "off-topic" is a relative term.

"Serious and serious"?

Or do you mean "serious :D " and "serious", and they are two different things? :P

Edit: Sometimes I miss the second page, yep.

When posting on the General board, can something truly be off-topic?

About topicality: the interpretation of that particular rule (which reads, "Repeated posting of off-topic material on non-General forums") usually is that the posts must be badly of the current topic of the conversation of the thread (not its original intended topic) or completely off the topic of the board.

Conversational drift is regarded as fine and natural. In General, randomness is tolerated within reason.

I feel as though I should say something constructive and usefully on-topic, but looking back at the past few previous posts, I'm not sure that I can.

I seem to remember that this line of the CoC once ran "non-Miscellaneous", even when I joined (which was months after Misc was closed). Did it?

It did. General is the new Misc.

Uh, I mean, isn't. General isn't the new Misc. We're not supposed to say it is. Because it isn't, you see.

Oh, and

Sure it can. It's the General forum, so a topic about anything specific is off-topic. :P

"More and more serious," actually.

General would die if it weren't for going off-topic within 5-10 posts.

Drakey.

That said, off-topicness is encouraged in general. Just make a new thread.

No it isn't, except that in the CoC, the word Miscellaneous was replaced by General...

To me the nuance between generality and miscellany is that generality aspires to cover all possibilities, whereas miscellany is content with any sufficiently random subset. Hence we could argue that in Misc we were allowed to discuss anything, but now in General we are required to discuss everything.

I originally thought you were speaking in Rapper English until I realized you were appending the article to the name. You shouldn't do that in English, you know; most would call him Stew Boy.

—Arancaytar, who don't take everything literally either. :P

Also, one normally sets off a specific address with a comma. Like this: Shuan Wuan, use punctuation.

This all would be solved if English had a vocative, but nooooo, we had to drop cases about a thousand years ago.

Hooray for English and Qwerty keyboards!

I am tempted to follow suit, but I promised I wouldn't steal Alorael's sig anymore after the last time.

I will, however, offer you access to my self-contained, indestructible, password protected box with 20-foot thick adamantium walls to protect you from Alorael's sniper rifle.

Most keyboards have the same key configuration, so I'm pretty sure the comma is easy to find :P

EDIT: I just owned myself :(
