Most intense gaming moment in General

Easily playing Omega, the last Zerg mission from Broodwar. Every moment was a frantic fight for survival.

2 hours and twelve minutes after beginning the torture, the last UED building was razed.

*sniff* that was the first time I felt any measure of self-worth.

Eyebeasts nerfed in Geneforge Series

Right. Eyebeasts can hit multiple targets, poision targets (they could in GF2, at least), and stun multiple targets. Drakons could hit multiple targets, but in my experience their strikes were either ineffective or missed. As for surviving longer, rotghroths have about the same. Rotdhizons have more. Eyebeasts don't need more hit points, because nobody (could) touch them. Even with the eyebeast downgrade, it's still better than drakon and ur-drakon in my opinion, at least.

2001: A Space Odyssey? I watch that movie when I can't sleep. It always fixes the problem.

I also watch the beginning when I am feeling rather sadistic. There is something incredibly amusing about apes beating each other with bones.

But creations like the glaak and cryoa got a power boost. Sure, the terror vlish was a disappointment, the eyebeasts are slightly less effective (but then again, the eyebeasts were way too powerful in GF2) but boosting weaker creations was welcome. I remember the struggle period between battle alphas and rotghroths and gazers in GF2. That was quite difficult a time.

One creation that definitely needs a boost is the drakon. They are supposed to be mighty and powerful, right? So why can two battle alphas, a glaak, and an ornk take one out? Oh. Maybe it was that wand of nulity. But my point stands. Drakons can't hold a candle to any of the other big creations.

Here's a tip. Turn off all sounds and plug in the Lord of the Rings score.

I meant Islamics, but that's the same thing, methinks. Still terrorism.

My condolences as well.

Even with all the police out for G8, the attack must have been planned long before, probably without knowledge of London 'letting her guard down' so to speak.

But they certainly picked easy targets, anyway. How sad. Is this Britains first direct attack?

I do believe, sir, that there is no fair answer to that question.

I prefer straightforward and melodic writing, so that means Jupiter. Though, predictably, I like Mars as well. The others didn't really stick out to me.

In my experience there has been no way, but then again, it's not very important.

Shaper. I prefer busting in and doing the John Wayne as opposed to all that sneaking with an agent. It makes me feel dirty.

what instrument do YOU play? in General

October by Eric Whitacre, anyone? Huge oboe solo.

The oboe is a solo instrument, through and through. It can actually be a very beautiful thing if played well. But then again, that isn't very common.

I play bari sax.

Creation specific groups are a bad idea. Vary your creation types. You'll find that using several of the same type will get you caught in some stick situations. Mix it up, and usually include one or two battle creations that can take the brunt of the hits.

A combination of the aforementioned boredom and an utter enjoyment of the worlds created by Spiderweb.

Hello to you all. There is no shortage of new faces here. The membership is around 5700, I see, which is staggering.

And believe me, when I saw that the last time I had been here was in 2002, I felt really old.

Message board basics

Just thought I'd try and entertain and educate.

In other news, 's been a long time, Spiderweb. Not many would remember me (Sullust, Morgan maybe), but I was here a long time ago. 2002 to be exact, back when there were fewer than 2000 members and before then, on the older boards.

It was extreme boredom that brought me back, and what good place to come. My congradulations to Spiderweb on continuing the tradition of making fantastic games.

Just thought I'd peak in for awhile. Good day to you all.
