Well anyway, I just started a refresher scenario today, I believe I got all the terrain done so far, about 6 towns total in 1 outdoor. Gonna be a hackfest, not really anything more. It will be short enough to be worth your time perhaps? It's just to get my re-aquainted with BoE after my absence.

the forum header (the list of untried scenarios, to be specific) hasn't changed in what seems to be over a year. Can we nominate someone (or can one of the moderators do it?) to be responsible for doing that list?

I think that Jeff Vogel's universe is fine and dandy with the three primary (mid level, as opposed to higher, such as vahnatai, or lower, such as trogs, giants, and ogres) available to to the player. Lower or higher level humanoids would just unbalance everything.

I'm really really surprised at the lack of people who have beaten the Exile series. Granted, I've only 'beaten' E1. You'd think there'd be more, unless all the oldies have run off.

Well, *i, I certainly can answer this one, if all our answers are based on our personal convictions. Here's mine.

God says, clearly, that we are to "take care of" the poor. Obviously, speaking in mafia-style language, this means we are to eliminate them little by little. Throwing those who make less than $10,000 a year off bridges, capping them in the head, etc. This is clearly what we ought to do.

What the Bible actually says, in the actual, non-mafia context, is that we are to make sure their needs are met, not that the wealth is distributed equally.

That's speaking from a moral perspective. If I was speaking from a selfish perspective, I'd say "I like the status quo, despite technically being in poverty myself. I have food, shelter, a social life, and thousands of dollars of debt! But I'm HAPPY, and that's all that matters!"

Do we have an Isreali historian in our ranks? Preferably a military one? I'd like a history of those wars, and I don't want to walk over to Wikiped to get it. I'd like a first-hand knowledge. We've got a joke around here, that you don't screw with Isrealis.

Anyway, back to Sudan/human rights/UN/etc. Granted, there may be some truth to the claim that the US is crippling the UN (don't comment on that, I don't care), but as far as I can see, the UN has a bad record in some places (Iraq, N. Korea as examples other dictatorships) in the area of 'human rights'. Anybody care to comment?

Scenario Processing in Blades of Exile

Hardest can sometimes be (when you're a college student who is currently addicted to other games) beginning. Planning can be easy enough, I do that in my head or in doodles (hence the simplicity of all of my released scenarios…all one of them). I find it hard to find the time.

Also hard emotionally is when you've put a lot of work into one scenario that's just bound to be the next FS, and Windows pulls some gay crap about putting your files (actual files, not shortcuts, for some gay-odd reason) on your taskbar, only to have you naively delete them, thinking that they're shortcuts, thereby deleting half of the games on your harddrive and all your BoE work. Ever. Because your old computer had the files from way back when cut off them.

I think there's a topic or something or other from that time where I lost all motivation for BoE.

EDIT: BTW, does anybody know if BoE works with Linux?

EDIT2: And who came up with the brilliant idea of new titles? [/sarcasm] …sorry, I should shut up. I'm having a bad week and I let it bleed into here.

Let's just say that I go to a college that sees fit to ban sites/pages that fall under the category of "Interactive/Chat" for whatever reason. Oddly enough, the Lyceum is the ONLY site I've come across that gets this ban activated. Hence, I cannot view the page.
