As per usual, it has fallen on the enlightened vanguard of the SW boards, as it does every year, to create a topic to celebrate and edify on May Day, the great holiday of the glorious worker. Sadly, the vanguard has been, uh, occupied. But as you can clearly see, there is at least a rudimentary poll this year! Surely none of you doubted there would be. It was historically inevitable. Poll Information This poll contains 3 question(s). 40 user(s) have voted. You may not view the results of this poll without voting. function launch_voter () { launch_window("http://www.ironycentral.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=poll;d=vote;pollid=KWsHqSfjqyLI"); return true; } // end launch_voter function launch_viewer () { launch_window("http://www.ironycentral.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=poll;d=view;pollid=KWsHqSfjqyLI"); return true; } // end launch_viewer function launch_window (url) { preview = window.open( url, "preview", "width=550,height=300,toolbar=no,location=no,directories=no,status,menubar=no,scrollbars,resizable,copyhistory=no" ); window.preview.focus(); return preview; } // end launch_window Posts: 794 | Registered: Tuesday, October 11 2005 07:00 |

Sadly, I oppressed a worker today. It was not a completely joyless experience. -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Holy crap, I just found out that my high school teachers lied to me about Viet Nam! -------------------- "Oh, North Wind, why frighten others? In Nature's family all are brothers. May Day is an international communist holiday? Goddamn, and I just thought it was a local excuse to get drunk. That said, I spent the day oiling my liver with a barley-based beverage. Long live the working class! Down with the Fat Cats! Viva la Revolución! (etc.) Posts: 353 | Registered: Monday, January 9 2006 08:00 |

True. But then again, I'm not a real communist. (Given my future line of work, it would be quite difficult to keep a leftist attitude going for a very long time.) Posts: 353 | Registered: Monday, January 9 2006 08:00 |

I was supposed to be working from 6-9, and I sat there from 4-5, and then stood up and left... I then 'phoned in sick. Oh, and hasta la victoria siempre. I think. -------------------- And when you want to Live How do you start? Where do you go? Who do you need to know? *Name by Slarty, so blame him if it's filthy... When "you" say May Day, does that refer to Victoria Day? I've never heard of May Day, . . . ah from looking at Wiki I see what May Day is. Well we have Victoria Day which is better so there. :P -------------------- The Knight Between Posts. Posts: 2395 | Registered: Friday, November 2 2001 08:00 |

I spent May day being oppressed under the harsh scourge of final exams. And packing. and cleaning. and packing. and more packing. Did I mention that I spent a lot of time today packing? Edit: Splling -------------------- The Silent Assassin once, a long time ago, said somehing witty at a dinner party. I forget exactly what he said, because at that instant, the Goths finally attacked Rome. But I remember that it was funny. Does equally redistributing the yokes and toil under the lash of the opressor count? —Alorael, who doesn't understand why May Day isn't tax day. It would be very appropriate. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |
