Definately magic. You simply cannot (easily?)fight the endgame stuff with a strictly melee character on torment. I have found it impossible to do at all. -------------------- This is a link to an awesome game: http://s1.battleknight.us/index.php?loc=hire&ref=ODAxOQ== Posts: 33 | Registered: Saturday, April 12 2008 07:00 |

Although, as Amyth said, I believe Alwan would be one of the ones who could resist power through cansiters and self-shaping. -------------------- This is a link to an awesome game: http://s1.battleknight.us/index.php?loc=hire&ref=ODAxOQ== Posts: 33 | Registered: Saturday, April 12 2008 07:00 |

If he went rouge you could absorb him. Besides, battle alphas aren't smart enough to know their race is based on genocide. As long as they're hitting things, or, in this case, stabbing them, its all good. -------------------- This is a link to an awesome game: http://s1.battleknight.us/index.php?loc=hire&ref=ODAxOQ== Posts: 33 | Registered: Saturday, April 12 2008 07:00 |

If a rotgroth had a baton, its acid touch would melt it. If a Battle Beta had a puresteel soulblade, however, it would be a beast. -------------------- This is a link to an awesome game: http://s1.battleknight.us/index.php?loc=hire&ref=ODAxOQ== Posts: 33 | Registered: Saturday, April 12 2008 07:00 |

But, after seeing the sufferings of the serviles on Sucia Island, can you really justify supporting the Shaper Council?? Although, after the 4th game, I am inclined to agree. Just a thought. -------------------- This is a link to an awesome game: http://s1.battleknight.us/index.php?loc=hire&ref=ODAxOQ== Posts: 33 | Registered: Saturday, April 12 2008 07:00 |

Which was what I was trying to get at earlier. Shaping does cause a few problems, but because electricity causes a few problems, are we going to get rid of it? Regardless, they don't have a viable path to their goal, so it really dosen't matter. My main problem with them, honestly, is their idealism. I can't stand idealists. -------------------- This is a link to an awesome game: http://s1.battleknight.us/index.php?loc=hire&ref=ODAxOQ== Posts: 33 | Registered: Saturday, April 12 2008 07:00 |

I suppose that is true enough. I do, however, stand by the fact that the idea of ridding the world of shaping would be unworkable unless backed by highly powerful shapers, which would put them at an impasse with ethnics. Alright. 1: The transference robe in Rhaul's bedroom requires timing it just right. Also, if your a Shaper its best to block off the dining room area with fyoras. I'm not real sure about the overgrown path one unless its in the puresteel plant by the Creator's Lair on Dhonal's Isle. 2:It means that you can't enhance two simutaneously, like the spikes and ivory skull both on your flaming sword. What you're doing is acceptable. 3: You're right, most sources point to vambraces as arm armor. Take it up with Jeff. 4: I haven't played lately, so I can't remember. I always use all of my skill points, though. Hope that helps!! And if you had a canister making facility, you be a god character as soon as you had a base. Ya'll are right, it would be a game-breaker. The very ideal the Trakovites stand for irks me. ::Start Rant:: Yes, Shaping has done great evil, but also great good. It is what keeps Shaper lands safe, what enforces the laws. The whole Geneforge society is based around shaping. You can't change that without a war, in which you will need very powerful SHAPERS. The fact that they even belive their idea of ridding the world of shaping is plausible is infuriating. ::End Rant:: -------------------- This is a link to an awesome game: http://s1.battleknight.us/index.php?loc=hire&ref=ODAxOQ== Posts: 33 | Registered: Saturday, April 12 2008 07:00 |

Secondly, is there a good way to customize the party, or should I just let it be what it starts with? I'm used to Geneforge, which has, in my opinion, a much simpler Character Generation -------------------- This is a link to an awesome game: http://s2.gladiatus.us/game/c.php?uid=28565 Posts: 33 | Registered: Saturday, April 12 2008 07:00 |

It would be fun to play the factions against each other. I forgot to mention that, as an old player, I would love to see the Awakened brought back. They were my favorite. They were sort-of idealists, but somehow not as bad as the Trakovites. -------------------- This is a link to an awesome game: http://s1.battleknight.us/index.php?loc=hire&ref=ODAxOQ== Posts: 33 | Registered: Saturday, April 12 2008 07:00 |

The main thing I want is a G1-style Geneforge, and an ending where you become insanely powerful, sort of like the G1 ending where you use the Geneforge and destroy it. -------------------- This is a link to an awesome game: http://s1.battleknight.us/index.php?loc=hire&ref=ODAxOQ== Posts: 33 | Registered: Saturday, April 12 2008 07:00 |

Until I joined these fourms I had never thought of that, but it is a rather fun sounding idea. Not that I really expect Jeff to put it in G5, but still a great idea. -------------------- This is a link to an awesome game: http://s1.battleknight.us/index.php?loc=hire&ref=ODAxOQ== Posts: 33 | Registered: Saturday, April 12 2008 07:00 |

Precisely. I believe it is a pretty standard G4 Editor upgrade. The one I use also has Unbound and Golems for Ur-Drakons and Ur-Glaaks(sp), respectively. -------------------- This is a link to an awesome game: http://s2.gladiatus.us/game/c.php?uid=28565 Posts: 33 | Registered: Saturday, April 12 2008 07:00 |
