Why not just make the integrated sound player, with the ability to customize what will be played if for example you enter a dungeon. Let there be directories like "dungeon" "tower" "outside_forest" or so. and when you enter one of those locations sounds that are in the dirs will be played by the integral player. i was told i sleep walked but i think my family was just looking for someone to blame for sugaring and spilling the gravy from the roast at night... i didint feel like sleepwalking. reoccuring dreams almost always have a diifrent result in my case, in the said rpg dream only the backgroung and most of the characters were the same, my actions as for my passing age and my experiences were diffrent (but one i dont want to discuss, i'll only say that it was a very pleasant and thrilling) because i had the dream in long periods of time, i think since 12yo or so. i remember almost all of my dreams... wait... i remember only the ones i remember! i could have had dreams and not know it! its like the things that you did in life but dont remember them at all, not even theres place for them. they just dont exist.  philosophic!-------------------- I am pleased to make contact with your entities. i sprint around 40 kph but thats only when i run for grades ... when i need to i can even 45 kph, example: my bus is taking off, about 100 m down the stairs, through the tunnel, up the stairs for the next stop, and i made it -------------------- I am pleased to make contact with your entities. i have had one dream within a dream... that is i was aware that i was dreaming and then woke up and didint notice it was a dream, then i woke up again and had a sturdy shock. i often am on the halfway to school when i realize i was dreaming and that nightmare wasnt real. and i had 3 or 4 episodes of the same dream. it's like an rpg tpp/fpp game. i was in a school only for girls and did stuff and stuff  ...most of my dreams lack much logic, things like chickens with robotic brains spreading an infectious disease that causes madness and magickal death-cabbages are perfectly normal and i when dreaming dont realize they are not normal. Knife of Butchering Does 5-10 + 1-18/level Anatomy +5 It'd have the pic of a regular knife, and for example placed in a kitchen in some dungeon. Two weapons are a very bad idea. a. they would have to modify the engine a2. if not it would be very ****ty, avernum is already quite demanding in the department of imagination (not that i mind that much, but more would be just a step back) b. to balance the game they would have to decrease dramatically the weapon damages or cut down the PC endurance so it would be hard to work without a shield c. everyone would want to wield two weapons - it would probably be the most damaging combination (FlameSword + IceSword) and it would cut back on the originality of user choice (presently it doesnt differ much in damage whether you choose to use a spear or sword - yoyu can pick without loss) -------------------- I am pleased to make contact with your entities. i dont know whether this was discussed before but i wouldnt care even if ;) . after reading the boa faq i have an idea! you see - i think that user-made monsters, races, spells and the lot are possible without loosing some of the ingame stuff. the catch is that we dont _replace_ the things that are already there but make completely new ones: we use the Custom User Slot. lets say i want the summon jellybeans spell (lol) so i make through the CUS - all the previous spells are already there, although there is one more: summon jellybeans! the same thing with the monsters and races - a few CUS' will satisfy the makers without loos of the original stuff. disclamer: english is not my native lang. i might be a little incomprehensible. if you think i am babbling nonsense, let me know. -------------------- I am pleased to make contact with your entities.
