I just wondered if it wil be possible to have music in the scenario. I was thinking mostly like making the bacground sound into music instead, but i was also thinking in cutscenes.
Example: A fort, on a hill, vand a invasion, the enemy forces slaughter them, and a sad music is playing (Think HALO, Gangs of New York, or Black Hawk Down). Speaking of cutscenes, i am not a very good scripter, in fact i suck, the only thing i have scripted was a completely text based quiz with visual basic, so it would be happy if it was some kind of "cutscene director" that made it a little easier.

Jeff has already said no to music. I personally was the largest advocate of it, but he declined in favor of smaller file size. Yes we've already discussed MIDIs, and he's still said no.

Man Jeff doesn't like music, sad... but cut scene's i think would be to much to add in.
any ways can't you replace the sounds with an MIDI instead?

Why not just make the integrated sound player, with the ability to customize what will be played if for example you enter a dungeon. Let there be directories like "dungeon" "tower"
"outside_forest" or so. and when you enter one of those locations sounds that are in the dirs will be played by the integral player. Works kinda without spoiling the story.

Music takes up a lot of file/server space and Jeff likes to keep downloads small. Also, where would you get the music? Remember, they cannot host anything copyrighted.

You could compose it yourself, but then, MIDI playback can be funny. You'd be supporised what the community can come up with. I do a lot of work in an electronic music studio, and many univeristies have computer labs devoted to electronic music.

I hate converting my music, period. Too many things get left out. Ruins it... roar.

Its not that hard to make music yourself, and about the download space, why do Jeff need to care, we are just using his tools!

Yeah, but he's the one who pays for the bandwidth we use to download scenarios.
