OOC: a sudden plot twist on the day of the duel? uhh... o_O IC: Though Shadow Wolf was only human (albeit an internally mutated one), he did not need much sleep. A splash of cold water in the face after an hour of rest was enough for him. Carefully the blademaster cleaned Silentstriker and washed the scabbard - he must be ready for combat at the time of the duel, such that if he would have a chance to interrupt it, he would. Entering the main floor, Shadow Wolf took a look around. The Inn was now quite silent, save for the occasional patrol who would nod to him as a greeting. Most of the tables were destroyed in one way or another - those who didn't have a room either slept on clean parts of the floor, at the bar, or on one of the few surviving chairs. All the crucial people were alive and well - the Barkeep could finally sleep at the bar and Neris is safe where she was. Outside, Shadow Wolf could see Rasil atop the wall. Through the sensory powers of his soul he could sense that most of the adventurers were asleep. "I just haven't used anything BUT basic Bladeweave." "Then you will have no chance, fool!" The Naga suddenly cast down several focused bolts of lightning. Shadow Wolf saw the chance. The Naga was astonished when the lightning only hit a mirror image. Then the blademaster rushed toward her from behind at breakneck speed. She turned around just in time to block with her dual glaive, but found it sliced clean in half and herself off balance with her back exposed as Shadow Wolf spun upward at the last second, blade spinning at high speed. The Naga found herself unable to generate a magical shield in time to protect her from Silentstriker slicing down her back.
