Amongst the present debates going on, I felt like introducing a topic with a cheerier mood.

So what are you doing for the holidays?

On the Solstice, I plan to (after school) spend my day fasting, in contemplative meditation, and wrtiting down my thoughts in my journal.

On Capitalismas, I plan to enjoy a breakfast meal of some sort of variety of scrambled eggs, before opening presents bought from the Capitalist Elite with the family. Following this, I'll probably end up watching football before dinner, a wonderful feast with one amazing center piece: King Crab.

Our family is traveling the Seattle area to visit relatives. I have grandparents in Issaquah and an uncle in Seattle.

I'm not so enthused about visiting them. My grandmother is practically a vegetable, and dying people make me nervous.

A twenty-five hour round trip isn't much fun either. However, there's two scenic passes: one in Oregon and the other crossing the cascades.

This break will be less than enjoyable. I'm taking a math test tomorrow, going to jury duty on Tuesday, then I have two doctor appointments on Thursday. On the 28th, I'll be taking the Organic Chemistry final I missed last week when I was sick. This will all be done while I'm at home getting it ready for Christmas while my mom recovers from pneumonia.

I have my last final for the semester on friday. Then I hope to go the rest of the year without doing a single thing that so much as resembles work. Christmas dinner and whatnot is someone else's problem, and I've already bought other people's gifts. I will likely become nocturnal, gain several pounds, and reek because I don't plan on showering or changing my clothes either. Hey, it's a tradition.

Seconded, with a caveat for Blades. My roughest academic week ever just wrapped up, and I'm ready to go home and chill.

Is that before or after cookies and other dessert-type foods have been factored in? :P

Dikiyoba will go back to Oregon, presumably celebrate Christmas with some relatives, turn a year older, and probably do Dikiyoba's best to ignore the new year's arrival.

We'll be enjoying time with relatives from different parts of Europe, not having to work for two weeks, not having to get up at six in the morning, seeing friends, splendid meals, and preparation for a New Year's Eve party. I'm really looking forward to all of this.

Tradition dictates that on December 25th I eat 4 plates of food at the dinner table, then have 4 pieces of pie. I will also have breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage, toast) and supper (pie).

I've not really got plans per se. I'm working Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day, but otherwise I'm mosty free. I think the reason I've not planned ahead is the lack of any kind of festive spirit in my town.

Dikiyoba.

Sadly, the pies are forbidden until the actual dinner meal has begun. Or middled. Because it never really ends.

Once again, I thought I read "showers." You really need to find a more innocuous form of expression. Here's a hint: don't use the word "golden" to describe anything starting with the letter S.

Christmas Eve we will gather at Aunt Pammy's house for a supper and gift exchange with the other aunts and Grandpa Bill.

Christmas Day we will gather at our own house with 16 guests for lunch, gift exchange, and general merryment (Grandma has a craft planned) for as long as the company can stay. (I am expecting sleepovers)

Sometime shortly after (time and date still undetermined) we will host another group of five along with whatever company is left, for a lunch or supper, fellowship, and probably a game or two.

And after all the binging, the purging will come as we attempt to restore balance within our household.

I end up sleeping 12 hours or more when I don't check myself. Maybe thats cuze a normal day in University starts at 1:00pm, and ends at 7:00am. I think my sleep cycle is smashed.
