Tomorrow, untold numbers of poultry will be crammed into stooves, ovens, pots, pans, microwaves, faces. These unfortunate avians will then be grasped with gluttonous fingers of millions of Augustus Gloops, and crammed into mouths. This of course leads to the central question:

Do you prefer dark meat or white meat on your platter?

How about "I don't care"?
You didn't give enough answers.

Oh, and I made the Jello. I mixed lime and strawberry flavors. It turned a sort of maroon/purple color.

But anyway...In some places it might already be Thanksgiving.

Both, although it doesn't surprise me to see that choice absent.

I prefer those turkey loafs that give me an equal amount of white and dark processed all together with some glue and sawdust.

I'm unaware of anyone my age who prefers dark meat over white meat.

You're roughly my age, Ex, and I prefer dark meat. White meat is just far to dry and tasteless.

And yes, it was meant to be a joke. Not necessarily a sick one, but interpret it as you will. However you interpreted it.

I would rather have white meat then dark. This year I am leaving the turky behind and going after a honey glazed ham. Ahh the joys of being poor, in college, and living next to Winco. Bless your low prices Winco.

EDIT: spelling

I was going to respond, but then I got slightly offended by the choices, but then decided it's worh it.

I used to perfer Dark over white, but I am no longer sure, and plan to determine which I perfer tomorrow (technically much later today).

I like 'em both, as long as they're brined or marinated appropriately.

I don't like turkey, but I'd take light meat over dark.

—Alorael, who would take stuffing over either and mashed potatoes over just about everything else available.

Yeah, you should get very offended at pretty much every well used advertising slogan that you don't recognize, on the off chance that you can feel virtuous afterward. As a gimmick though, it gets old fast.

I was thinking fish, but then I like it better than pork.

Come to think of it: Instead of turkey, I'd prefer fresh quail or deer. (There aren't any wild turkeys in Winnemucca)

The question isn't turkey specific. It's whether you prefer white over dark meat. If you like both, then you don't prefer either.

I do prefer the other white meat to turkey, but there's still a lot of love for turkey in my heart. I would also posit that a turkey doesn't need to be brined or marinaded, so long as you use an oven bag - keeps the moisture in, and makes the whole process much, much easier.

Finally, Excal, if you prefer deer, then aren't you the one who's unclean?

Yesterday I got a few very good pieces of turkey. And everyone who tried my jello liked it.

Eh? Venison can be kosher, it just usually isn't because of the way it's slaughtered.

(My favourite meat is rabbit, though, so if I were Jewish I'd be out of luck.)

Who said I was Jewish?

If you're favorite meat is rabbit, then Winnemucca is paradise in the spring. They're everywhere, especially on the undersides of cars.

So why are you offended by "the other white meat"?

Dark meat is so much moister and more flavorful. America's white meat preference is due to factory farming propaganda![/baseless conspiracy theory] White meat is usually so dry that it cements in my throat.
