1. On a scale of 1 to 5, how would you rate a turkey dinner by mom/dad? 2. Do you prefer cranberry sauce with turkey/other? 3. Is pumpkin pie usually included? 4. Do you eat the turkey neck or throw it at someone? 5. Is there anyone other than myself who absolutely adores turkey dressing? 6. Any little traditions out of the usual? ------------------ 1. 4.5. I still remember the year we had a bad turkey. Eeew. 2. Usually. But with a touch of sugar, otherwise my mouth shrivels up. 3. Anyone in my family who doesn't include it will answer to me. Or Worf. 4. My brother was volunteered for the target. He always is. 5. My aunt. Other than that, nobody to my knowledge. 6. Not much out of the usual. 1. My dad can brine the heck out of a bird, and it's always amazing. We've had a solid run of really good turkeys, so I'm gonna say 5. 2. Nope. The turkey itself is normally flavorful enough, and when it's not, I bring in the hot sauce. 3. Hopefully. And piles of whipped cream. 4. Why on earth would I do that? 5. ...if you mean stuffing, yes. Otherwise, I think it's cruel to dress it up. I mean, you're already going to eat it, isn't that embarrassing enough? 6. Do you prefer cranberry sauce with turkey/other? I'm not a big fan of cranberry sauce, though it's okay. Mostly I prefer gravy, and lots of it, on everything. 3. Is pumpkin pie usually included? Probably 50% of the time. Depends on the mood. 4. Do you eat the turkey neck or throw it at someone? Neither. 5. Is there anyone other than myself who absolutely adores turkey dressing? Do you mean stuffing? I think most everyone does. It's essentially concentrated carbohydrates and fat, if prepared correctly. 6. Any little traditions out of the usual? I add Italian sausage to the stuffing for added flavor. I've also served a pasta course as a part of the meal ever since I experienced Thanksgiving in Rome while I was studying abroad. 1. My immediate family isn't responsible for the turkey. We bring the appetizers. The bean dip is most definitely a 5. 2. Cranberry sauce is pretty good, though I don't associate it with Thanksgiving as much as I associate it with canned green beans and the rule that every dinner must include a fruit and vegetable. 3. Yes, but there are always desserts I like more like blackberry cobbler, cinnamon muffins, cream cheese brownies, and cherry cheesecake. 4. I have absolutely no idea what happens to the turkey neck. 5. I hate it. Sorry. 6. A Connect Four tournament. But since Dikiyoba won't be going home for Thanksgiving this year, a lot of this won't actually apply. Or maybe it might. 0-never had one that my fokes cooked. Yes cranberry sauce is good, I also find that grave helps withteh breast meat if it's to dry. Pumpkin pie to pecan or lemon. It's all there. Never seen the turky neck on the table before. Turkey dressing? I know that i like stuffing, that the same thing as turkey dressing? We never cook on Thanksgiving day. We just go out to eat at a rather fine place and let them do all the cooking and washing of dishes. We've done this for as long as I can remember. 1. Turkey by my parents is a 3 because they would use a wild bird off Grandma's farm that they shot themselves. The dressing would be the cheapest brand possible mixed with extra celry, and the cranberry sauce would still hold the shape of the can it came out of. None of which is expressly terrible, I've just had better. 2. I prefer apple pie with my turkey if you're asking for a fruit otherwise corn on the cob is a favorite side dish. 3. Not usually, very few in the family like it. 4. Eat it, along with the turkey heart, liver, and (my favorite) gizzard. Yum! 5. Done right it's a must have. There have been dressings I didn't like though. 6. Not really... My aunt usually cooks for Thanksgiving, and I'll rate it 4.5. 2. Do you prefer cranberry sauce with turkey/other? I don't think I've ever had cranberry sauce. 3. Is pumpkin pie usually included? 1. Turkey = yum. 5, so long as my mom decides to not pull a Martha Stewart and debone the turkey. 2.I don't like cranberries that much. 3. It used to be a mush, then I discovered sweet potato pie.
