It is with great joy and satisfaction I announce the newest addition to the moderator staff. After a long election campaign on the general boards, Arancaytar has been declared the winner getting 107% of the vote among all members. This extraordinary accomplishment demonstrates the healthy democratic decision making process of this message board community. However, this is not only a victory for Arancaytar, a dedicated member to the ideals of freedom, democracy, fairness, and justice, but to everyone on these boards. He is the people's choice, and I have no doubt he will carry out the will of those who elected him. I must say that you have all made a fine selection for your new enforcer. Let me go into some of the details of his history. By age 5 he refused all toys but products of Spiderweb Software. By age 8, he began participation in the Spiderweb Community in the earliest days of the Spiderweb Software Message Boards. Even at that age, he quickly ascended to be one of the most respected and articulate members of these forums. By age 11, he had already participated in the development of Blades of Exile scenarios through rigorous beta-testing of countless scenarios and the production of valuable artwork. Modest as he was, he did all of this under the guise of other screen names so that, according to one person who knew him best, "He would not boast too much. He prefers a modest life." By age 16 he had become a community leader and manager of board statistics. For his heroic efforts during campaigns of the previous year he had been awarded the "Spiderweb Triple Cross Medal of Meritorious Achievement". Arancaytar himself has described this moment as one of the most important in his life. Now finally after all of his hard work and dedication, you the people of this message board have decided to award him with such a lofty position. Congratulations not only to Arancaytar, but to all those who campaigned endlessly through the night for him and ultimately voted to confirm this exemplary member. -------------------- Your flower power is no match for my glower power! ... Somehow, I'm not surprised. I'm interested to see Aran's public reaction, though. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. I hate undead. I really, really, really, really hate undead. With a passion. Posts: 4130 | Registered: Friday, March 26 2004 08:00 |

That's great news, but I noticed a couple of typos. You repeatedly wrote "Arancaytar" where you meant to say "Ash". But I'll forgive you. :) -------------------- SupaNik: Aran, you're not big enough to threaten Ash. Dammit, even JV had to think twice. Posts: 1861 | Registered: Friday, February 11 2005 08:00 |

So basically, moderator #4 now knows too much about technology rather than biology and looks like Harry Potter rather than Macauley Culkin. Congratulations Aran and may your first act be to lockout all moderator topics. Just a suggestion, but could the next time a moderator retires be not announced until a replacement is selected. Unless you are having an election this will quiet things down. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |
