So you didn't actually quit if you were permanantly banned, did you...?

Still, not many people here will be bothered, I'm afraid to say. You could blame it on today's fast-paced society, with it's fast food joints and Internt Cafes. I personally blame squirrels.

This topic should probably be closed now I've had my chance to spam.

You forgot an other :( , in order to have three-one-three balance.

Anyway, what actually are you talking about? It sounds really cruel and very irritating, being banned, but was it on a forum or something?

Runescape is a very bad browser-based online game.

It's not bad. Some people just don't like it for some reason. If you're an impatient person, you probably won't like it. And if it's so bad, then why does it usually have 110,000+ people playing it during peak hours and at least 35,000+ playing at any other times

I find Runescape somewhat fun. However, I have stopped playing because all the new high level equipment costs insane amounts of money I don't have. Also, unfortuanately, making money in Runescape can be quite mind-numbing.

I'll hazard a guess that all of those 110,000 people are dumb.

For once I have to agree with Imban here.

I started a character there ages ago, and I found it SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO boring.

AdventureQuest is much more fun if you're looking for silly games to play while away from your own computer.

If Runescape were faster-paced, it would be half decent instead of OMFG HORRIBLE.

Like I said, it's not for the impatient. The only thing I don't like about Runescape is the community. Almost everybody is a jerk.

Runescape sucks.

There was a large Runescape following last year at school, primarily in the mornings in the Sci Vis lab before the bell rang. I, for one, refused to take part in such antics, and held Quake 3 tournaments with friends instead.

Runescape sucks. It lacks the social structure found in big name MMO's, and the game part is just dull.

I dislike most MMORPGs, really. Although they have the potential to be good, I haven't seen any truly great ones.

Final Fantasy XI was okay, I guess. It's huge, there's lots to do besides just fighting, such as fishing and crafting items, and you could join a party of up to six people to fight monsters. It also has an overarching plotline. However, it costs a ridiculous US$12 a month to play, and it's impossible to get very far from the home country until you get much stronger and join a party.

Runescape costs US$5 a month, and has a smaller free version. It also has fishing and item crafting, and it also has minigames, unlike FFXI. You can get to most cities without getting into too much trouble from monsters if you're sneaky. However, you can't join parties, there's far less item variety, and item crafting is too expensive to be very useful. It also has no plot whatsoever.

Most other free MMORPGs I've seen are nothing but combat, combat, combat, and I'm not remotely interested in those. Maybe some day I'll make my own inexpensive MMORPG with lots of playing variety, but if I do, it's a very long way off.

(I like the stump monsters in Maple Story, though. They amuse me.)

Planeshift seems to have promise. Look it up if haven't heard of it. It's still in beta and is ridiculously buggy so I decided to wait to play it, though.

Runescape is terrible. It's boring and plotless as was mentioned earlier. It is also filled with high level people who think they are really great and many, many people who are scammers. Also the humor (or attempt at) in some places is just terrible. With a good community it could possibly scrape in as a decent game, but until then I'd rather allow my testicles to be ran over by rush hour traffic than play it.

...That can be arranged :P

And y'all also forgot the fact that Runescape practically censors half the English dictionary. That's right, even 'ball' got censored.

How is Item Crafting too expensive? Lots and Lots of people make lots money off item crafting. You just have to know what to make. And yes, the community is *very* bad. But it's updated very frequently. And item variety isn't too bad. There's just less unique items

Item variety is utterly terrible compared to FFXI, which is the first MMORPG I played, so maybe I'm just spoiled.
