themesong. I quite like the ending theme to Blue Gender. I kind of think they put heroin in the theme for Hamtaro. -------------------- Tip of the Day: #13 Stand clear the closing door. Well, i don't watch anime very often, but i quite liked Noir, especially the modern-classical-techno music accompanying many action scenes. And Vash the Stampede was extremely funny edit: oh, themesongs! well Noir's themesong is a lot worse then the music during the action. but the song for Vash rocks! Cruel Angel's Thesis. At first you listen to it and say "What's so damned good about this song, anyway, and why are all of those strange people half-ready to sing along to it?" Then as you watch the series, it begins to grow on you -- given the fact that this is Evangelion we're talking about, like a poisonous, life-sucking moss -- until you're one of those strange people singing in incoherent Japanese whenever someone shows the opening credits. -------------------- In a word, gay. --Bob the Impaler Posts: 2367 | Registered: Friday, June 27 2003 07:00 |

If someone put a gun to my head and forced me to say what my favorite anime thingie was, I would have to say Zelda, because that is the ONLY instance I have ever seen anime for a span of more than five minutes. I never really enjoyed anime, and Zelda was too chunky and pointy, as seems to be the case with much anime. -------------------- All your base are belong to us!!!! http://people.cornell.edu/pages/slp29/ayb.html Posts: 138 | Registered: Saturday, April 12 2003 07:00 |

Either Princess Mononoke, Ghost in the Shell, or the Final Fantasy movie (if that one qualifies as anime). And don't nobody mention DBZ. -------------------- Freude, schöner Götterfunken, Tochter aus Elysium, Wir betreten feuertrunken, Himmlische, dein Heilighthum! The monster I created. Why did I have show TM fansubs? Now it is too late for the world. At least he has horizons though. Too many Inu Yasha brats that are almost as bad as the DBZers. (I mean those that are so convinced the show is the greatest thing ever, but haven't seen much else. These are the folks on boards who write things like, I dunno waht Grave of the Fireflies is, btu I no DBZ 0WNZ it.) Also TM, like the art work in the Getbackers ED? I know thats why you watch it. And Abeno's OP and ED are just too great to ignore. Gainax has a new creation soon to be released here, trust me, it is worth the wait for it. As far as I'm concerned, Inuyasha is what DBZ should be. Which, if you remove most of DBZ's fatal flaws, is actually fairly good. Inuyasha *should* be a beginner's anime. First anime I watched was DBZ, second was GundamW. I took a hiatus, and only really caught on when I watched IY. Actually, what hooked me most about IY was the great songs by Dream and D•A•I. Khoth- That's not a comment, that's fact. ^_^ EDIT: I'm sure that's a yaoi reference, but I caught it from the reverse end. What's so no-climax about the GBs ED? (And which ED? Get Backers has the most EDs feasible in only 46 episodes.) In terms of great music, how can it be that no one has mentioned Cowboy Bebop? I'm a big jazz fan, and I think this show is the cat's meow! I mean, come on, how many other shows are going to nod to the obvious genius of Charlie Parker and then deliver a beautifully put together work of art, mixed liberaly with all kinds of great tunes?? EDIT - Sorry Mansex, that'll teach me to skim when first I ought to read :-) Also, I think you might enjoy Joshoua Redman's work as well, if you're not already familiar. Truly an excellent sax player. And yeah, Steely Dan is always excellent! quote:If you have nothing constructive to add to this discussion, get the hell out. CaseyJones - I did mention Cowboy Bebop. Real Folk Blues by Mai Yamane w/Seatbelts. If you're looking for jazz for what it should be (and that is, well written songs), listen to Steely Dan some time. -------------------- We're all amazed but not amused By all the things that you said you'd do. Vandread, in the orignal release of the episode entitled "What a wonderful world" had the song as sung by Louie Armstrong. His estate forced all dvd versions in Japan and the US to switch songs. -------------------- I am not really here. Posts: 956 | Registered: Wednesday, January 16 2002 08:00 |

My favorite Anime theme is the Inyuyasha theme. I love Anime, and I really love Inyu. I have a feeling many people will be talking about Inyu after the series ends. I am glad Inyu caught on like it did, and I discovered Inyu before it took of in the U.S. The only thing I hate about Inyu is it's fan base, when I saw the Inyu dvds and Videos advertised for the first time, I said this is not a good thing. I wish the new Inyu fans would stop watching it and leave us Inyu veterns in peace. But back to the themes I love the Inyu theme, when i first heard it I knew it was my favorite Anime theme, and I had no clue what Anime was. Allso I am writting a comic book about Charles V King of Spain, the animation will be Anime. I have asked my friend who is a Anime expert to help me with the Japanesse style animation. If it ever becomes a Anime one day maybe it will be on Adult Swim or Toonamie. It will be on the idea of Reighn only the cloths will not be so skimpy and the Anime won't be so strange. But even though it won't be so strange my Anime will still be strange, just not as strange as Reighn. But strange all the same. -------------------- "I am young, I am twenty years old:yet I know nothing of life but despair, death, fear, and fatuous superficiality cast over an abyss of sorrow." Question- Which Inu Yasha theme? There are 10 in all. And really, can you call yourself an IY vet when you spell it "Inyu"? -------------------- We're all amazed but not amused By all the things that you said you'd do.
