Considering that Jeff specifically stated that they would be exploring a new section of the caves, odds are low that they would start on the surface. -------------------- Scenarios need reviews! I'm beta-testing his scenario, and some of the scripts were written by Dante, not Blake. It'd seem kinda odd to credit someone who doesn't even exist. This is further reinforced by e-mails he's sent me (I had asked him if his scenario had been a joint project) which imply that his friend Dante uses Blake's computer. Unless Blake is suffering from some sort of mental disorder that causes hallucinations, which I highly doubt, there's no reason for Blake to insist that Dante exists, unless he actually exists! Spelling and grammar similarities are also explained by this, since they both live in the same country in South America. -------------------- I tried to think of something witty to put here. Radiant Shield: Level 1 provides magic resistance, Level 2 provides... well, I can't remember, but it's worth it to upgrade Radiant Shield to at least L3. Many scenarios are just short of requiring it just to survive. Divine Restoration simply provides more healing at higher levels. However, the higher you increase your skill with this spell, the further over your max health you get. However, Enduring Barrier usually works better for just increasing health past maximum. -------------------- I tried to think of something witty to put here. Needless to say, I failed. He posted what appeared to be a pornographic comic. I say appeared to be because I only let it download 10% before hitting the stop button. There was also colorful language involved. EDIT: Either way, Scorpius got banned for it. [ Thursday, May 03, 2007 10:04: Message edited by: Nioca ] -------------------- I tried to think of something witty to put here. a) UBB ate it. It does that now and then. b) A moderator and/or administrator deleted it for what Scorpius did. -------------------- I tried to think of something witty to put here. Needless to say, I failed. Posts: 2686 | Registered: Friday, September 8 2006 07:00 |

This isn't a popularity contest for one reason that goes by the name of Slartucker. The votes and the reasoning show who has more support and firepower, but when it comes down to the judging, it's Slarty who decides who wins and who loses. See R1, P1 for proof. While most of the wins went the way of the voting and reasoning, two of the winners actually had less votes overall. In Nikki vs. Nemesis, Nikki had 82% of the votes, but it was Nemesis who won. Essentially, the better the argument you can provide for why a certain character would win, the better the chances for that character to win. EDIT: Comma, not period. You can't just randomly give yourself abilities/resistances. Besides, it's how others view how you would fare as much as how you think you would fare. I am fairly certain that I could beat DV (in this fictional match) any day of the week. But that's not what other people thought. -------------------- I tried to think of something witty to put here. MATCH #1: CoC-breaking sutras just doesn't stand up to Jewels. And crashing a thread doesn't do much either. The only thing WKS has going for him is his BoE scenarios, and that just isn't enough. WINNER: MATCH #2: Smoo can counter a lot of what gets thrown at him. He has a barnyard of animals to drown out the Christian Rock. He has scenario creation skills to rival Ash, and Smoo can force Ash to walk through an insta-kill lava trap room. And he can play one mean practical joke and attack Ash with Wall Ogres that don't really exist. WINNER: MATCH #3: I really don't know enough to make an informed decision here. So I'm just picking who sounds more powerful by his card... WINNER: MATCH #4: Nicothodes is the only one with any real offensive power in this match. WINNER: MATCH #5: This isn't a match so much as a one-sided smack-down. Seriously, with the weaponry and armor that Magma possesses, there's no way that a muffin, flamming or otherwise, would be a threat to him. WINNER: MATCH #6: Mysterious Man possesses subtlety and mysteriousness, which would likely defeat an opponent. Unfortunately, you need something a little more upfront when facing the kind of firepower Zeviz possesses. WINNER: MATCH #7: Student of Trinity would leave Niemand weaponless and nearly powerless, but Niemand would force SoT into a set of endless stairs, and eventually beat him down with an endless supply of colorless shades. WINNER: MATCH #8: Homeland. Enough said. WINNER: -------------------- I tried to think of something witty to put here. Needless to say, I failed. Not to break up the party, but I'd say it's about time to call matches 1, 2, 7, and 8. The winning contestants (Infernal, DV, Nikki, and Saunders) are so far ahead that it would be impossible to catch up at this point. But I suppose that isn't my decision, so... *watches as the percentage ratings for self continue to slip down to 20%* -------------------- I tried to think of something witty to put here.
