www.spidweb.com has had A4 for sale for quite a while, you know. That's the company's official website. They've released two more games since then, although one was a remake.

keeper off, you realize that it says at the bottom of your post that you edited it three days after the fact, right? "Vahnatai" is both singular and plural, by the way.

Normally I wouldn't be making fun of you for that, but I think you asked for it when you tried to tell us it was spelled right all along when it was obvious that it wasn't. :P

EDIT: Changed "you didn't" to "it wasn't".

Pixel graphics for BoE scenario in Blades of Exile

There are hundreds of scenarios available for BoE, many of them of high quality, some exceptionally so. The CSR can help you find the good ones.

Also, in case you missed it, BoE is open source now, and has been ported by community members to run natively in Windows XP and Mac OSX. It's now being modified to remove bugs and make various nodes more powerful, but you shouldn't create scenarios with the modified versions of the editor since those modifications aren't fully tested, standardized, or even cross-platform yet and therefore your scenario probably won't work if you use a modified editor to make it.

Yes! We always want more scenarios. The community has plenty of resources available for designers and players, in the form of websites, articles, archives, and helpful people. The BoE community tends to hang around at The Lyceum (see the link in my sig), which has a message board (which includes the Comprehensive Scenario Ratings forums for BoE and BoA), scenario reviews, several helpful articles about scenario design, and some other stuff. Most of the community visits this forum too though.

Also, TrueSite For Blades has scenario walkthroughs and downloads, arranged alphabetically.

For graphics, I recommend looking through Pixle Profusion to see if a suitable graphic has already been made. Generally you simply need to give credit in the scenario's readme to the person who made the graphic. If you can't find what you need there, simply ask for what you need here and someone will probably volunteer soonish.

Welcome to the community!

It wouldn't necessarily, but it would at least cast doubt on the source of the prophesy if one comes from a deity claiming to be the only god, while other fulfilled prophesies claim to come from a completely different god or from one of a group of gods.

Also of note is that Avernum 4 uses a very different engine than the earlier games in the series, and that BoE has hundreds of scenarios, many of them very good, and that BoE is also open-source and thus free.

It's significantly qualitatively different. JWs believe the second coming of Christ has already occurred, for one. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that. That argument was one of semantics, not of legitimacy. It's a perfectly legitimate religion. The only thing I have a real problem with is the door-to-door witnessing. It wasn't just that one guy, either, although that was the most egregious case. I might have less of a problem with it if it was more regulated. For instance, if you tell them never to send anyone to the house again, they should listen. They also shouldn't stand there for twenty minutes ringing the doorbell over and over. They should leave when you tell them to. Some do those. Most don't, in my experience.

Well, he calls his deity Jehovah and he linked to an article on a Jehovah's Witness website that talked about numbers of Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia as part of his argument. If I'm mistaken, sorry. It would still be better to use something more specific than "Christian" at any rate, that was the point.

No it's not. We've been over this. You are the only one here who believes this. The rest of us have found our experience to be quite contrary to what you said there.

By the way, didn't you say you would stop calling yourself a Christian because it's confusing? The only one who calls Jehovah's Witnesses Christians is the Jehovah's Witnesses themselves. Call yourself by what you are, not by what someone else was long before you and that you hijacked for no particularly good reason.

Also, if my religion involves walking down the street knocking over trash cans, is it persecution to tell me to stop? It's no less obnoxious than trespassing on private property to force your papers on people who are trying to live their lives in peace. I don't see why door-to-door missioning shouldn't be illegal if knocking over trash cans is.

Of course it's someone eternal. It obviously came from the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Who do you think gave humans the idea for making pasta in the first place? Why do think animals have such noodle-like appendages as arms, legs, tails, trunks, etc.? Our intestines that absorb nutrients and our blood vessels that carry them throughout our bodies are noodle-shaped too. Why do you think we don't float off into space? The established theory of "gravity" (pshaw!) says objects pull toward each other naturally, but it doesn't say how they do this. The perfectly logical Pastafarian theory, that it is none other than the FSM holding us down with his Noodly Appendages, not only explains this much better than "gravity", but in fact also explains quite well why people have gotten taller on average over the course of history. The FSM created the first man as a midgit. Then he created a woman to get the first man to stop complaining, which apparently didn't work (the FSM is drunk a good amount of the time, so he didn't always think things through fully when he created the universe). As they reproduced and the population grew, there were fewer Noodly Appendages to go around, so everyone got less touching and therefore everyone got taller.

Of course, some say that there's no reason the universe itself couldn't be eternal if a creator diety can be (in fact, that's what the scientific evidence seems to point to, what with the inability to create or destroy matter). But that's ridiculous. Everyone knows that the Flying Spaghetti Monster is there fiddling with the data every time you make a scientific observation!

So presume I think God is a jerk, would prefer to stop existing than to spend eternity hanging around and obeying such a jerk, and disagree with the notion that his rules are good and logical. What reason do I have to follow his rules?

OpenOffice.org exists, plus it's available for several different operating systems, compatible with several major proprietary softwares' file formats (like Word's DOC files), and free.

It's true that the DoI doesn't have any real weight, but as it turns out the Constitution itself says nothing whatsoever about the right to pursue happiness, so I mentioned the DoI instead. It wasn't really a central part of the argument anyway.

To be honest, I don't necessarily think all temporary piracy is wrong, although I do think permanent piracy is. I just reacted to the piracy thread title, the likes of which usually title threads containing derisive communists insulting people and actively encouraging piracy, which usually results in BAN, and thus read the thread with a biased eye. I reread the thread after Salmon said I overreacted and saw that I had, in fact, overreacted.

Okay, fine. Sorry, Koranuso. I'm a bit jumpy is all.

At any rate, if you have a right to be happy, so does everyone else. Unfortunately, not everyone can be happy all the time. I know the Declaration of Independence states that men have an inalienable right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, but it's illogical to say that everyone has the right to be happy. In a perfect world we would all be happy, but unfortunately this is not a perfect world and all actions have consequences and opportunity costs. If you steal to make yourself happy, you are making someone else less happy in the process. Don't they have the right to be happy? Or does the right apply only to you?

EDIT: Fixed broken tags.
