Maybe a massive cavequake should occour in Avernum, killing several people, causing chasms to appear everywhere due to the cave floors falling into the Vhanatai lands and undiscovered caves far below Avernum and destroying supplies. And the two tribes of Vhanatai that were once the Olgai Tribe, will fight wach other in Avernum, and the lack of supplies causes ordinary people to become bandits and steal from everyone.

G, PG, and R are the American content ratings. (There's also PG-13, but Jeff left it out of BOE).

G means General Audiences (Completely clean, everyone admitted) PG means Parental Guidance (Almost harmless, maybe a couple of fart jokes or something) and R is Restricted (Adult material, no one under 17 admitted without accompanying parent or guardian).

See MPAA
Note that this is pretty outdated; PG is basically the new G, and 8-year olds are allowed to see PG-13 movies with no protest.
That is not what I am talking about. :(

In general, your basic BOE scenario is PG. If there's no combat at all and a happy-fun-bunnies plot, it's probably G. If you've got several gruesome murders, it's probably R.

However, scenario designers tend to overrestimate gore; Spears or Falling Stars are PG in my opinion, but they're rated R.
That what I am talking about :) but VoDT (Valley of Dying Things is not a "happy-fun-bunnies" plot but it is G. But you are probably right about R.
And I don't play Falling Stars or Spears and I won't for a while because I don't want my Mother looking at my computer just because I am playing one of those scenarios.

I am creating some BoE scenarios. Although I am only beginning to create my scenarios, I would like to know what I should set the content rating to. Could someone please tell me how to work out a scenario's content rating. A content rating is like G, PG, M, MA and R in Australia. In Spiderweb Software it is G, PG and R.

WARNING: IRRELLAVENT NOTE! In Australia, G means general public (everyone) PG means parental guidance recommended for people under 15, M means reccomended for mature audiences (Reccomended for people 15 & over) MA means mature accompanied (This is restricted and means that if you are under 15 you must be accompanied by an adult to see it) R means Restricted and you MUST be 18 (the age of consent in Australia) or over

I like classical music. :D The reason I don't listen to my favourite classical CD is because it is broken. :(

NO! Not as a central character. Just NO. You know what that makes all of the enemies, right? You know how easy that is to justify with a weak plot?

And that plot's just a bit cliché. I doubt that the Empire would just hand over the throne to an obvious fake... since when has any Empire official dabbled in necromancy? Any official, ever?

It was not an Empire official, he was a rebel mage pretending to be the heir to the throne. I must have had something else on my mind when I posted because I can't think of any reason why I would suggest that he would be a necromancer. They would hand over the throne to him because they don't know that he is a powerful mage so they think the fake evidence he made using magic is real. And maybe like in A2, that could be like a major side quest because in A2 you had to kill Garzahd, destroy the portal and return the crystal souls. And maybe he should reveal his magical power after weakening the power of the whole army by employing giants, trogloytes, gazers, demons and undead to attack the Empire army until it is so weak that he could defeat the whole army because of the power of his minions (Giants, troglodytes, gazers, demons and undead.) I forgot why he reveals himself but I think I had a good reason. when you kill him you might find out that he is a member of an organization that is trying to destroy the Empire for some reason. Then it turns out that the organzation is a group of avernites who want reveng o the Empire for teleoprting them to Avernum. If this organization is just like the darkside Loyalists (whoever they are) the Darkside Loyalists changed their name. Or maybye I should just abandon the idea alltogether.

Where is this cave in A2? Or is it the one which you need to go through to get from SPOILER to SPOILER?
To find out what the spoilers mean, move your mouse onto them and look at the bottom of your screen.

Mine wouldn't be set in avernum because it would be far too big. I am setting it in a small group of caves south of Avernum.

Back onto the topic, maybe A5 should be set on the surface where Empress Prazac travels to Valorim to make peace with a huge rebellion and an evil necromancer of the huge rebellion claims that Prazac and him were swapped at birth and he becomes emporer. The new emporer (Who was NOT in the family at all) lets the rebels join the army so a new rebellion is formed by Prazac and most of the imperial army to turn the Empire from evil to good by Prazac becoming the Empress again and your party was hired by Prazac to fight against the Empire so that the rebellion will turn into the Empire again.

Go through the secret door in the south east corner of Athron's lair, cross the bridge over the lava, enter the portal, and you will be in a room with a portal. In this reply I will call it the portal room. Enter the portal and fight your way to the portal and enter it. Go back to the room with the portal and enter it again. You will now be in the rune and gate room. Number the runes from left to right 1,2,3 and 4. Step on them in this order: 1,2,3,4,1,2,3,1,2,1 and enter the portal behind the now open gates. Go back to the portal room and enter the portal. Walk up to the altar until the walls open up. Fight your way to the portal in the western room and enter it. Go back to the portal room and enter it. You will ne in front of athron. Speak to her until she tells you that Vyvnas-Bok is in Angierach. go into the portal and go to Erika.

I like the idea of a natural occourance that disrupts order. :)

EDIT: In fact, I am going to work on my BoE scenario called Cavequake Chaos. :D
Edit: Spelling error.

I find it amusing that you have the old graphics, considering that you weren't born when Exile I was released.
I found them on an old games CD in 2003.

Don't disturb Jeff Vogel, he is very busy creating Geneforge 4. I have them but I don't know how to post some pictures in these forums while using Microsoft Windows XP when the pictures are not on the internet. If someone would tell me I will post them here but please bear in mind that I am in Brisbane, Australia where it is ten hours after Greenwich Mean Time so I will be sleeping with my clock saying it is midnight at 2pm in England and I am a child so I should not be blamed for sleeping or being at school while you are waiting for some pictures. :o

EDIT: I reathe FAQ and I kniow that you can't attach files.
