I would of course be a unicorn. But... not just any unicorn. No, I would be a unicorn with one specific special ability. To be undetectable by metal detectors!! Or radar. That way I join in the ancient unicorn tradition of hiding in sock drawers without crazy sceptics finding me! ... ... I really should stop reading Dilbert... -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Hrmm... The general consensus of people who actually know what they're talking about is that Nethergate followed closely by E2 (A2 if you prefer that graphics set). Now, this is not to say that these are the games you would enjoy most. In fact, BoE (which I believe comes in about third) has the most playability of any of them (at least until BoA scens really start). Play the unregistered versions of each game and see what you like best. It all runs down to personal taste I s'pose. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Yes, you did miss out one: amusing piece of fiction. Aran, you raise some good points. Sure the Bible, when it was written (more likely to have been written just over a millenia and a half ago) was meant to "help" you live a better life, but that was then, this is now. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Despite being together for many years, that in itself may have been the problem. Specifically put, she may, in herself, be unsure as marriage being the right thing to do. Not having had relationships with anyone before yourself may cause her to have doubt in her mind that you are the right person. Give her time and talk about it. When it comes to affairs of the heart, you have forever and a day. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

I suppose that you have also got to take into account that the Empire has four whole other continents to draw troops and magi from. They might not have the most powerful spells, but with that sort of manpower, arguing with them isn't just out of the question, it's out of the window with your head on a pike. Wait, wait... it didn't occur to you that the line above said that it was the given ratings until now? Okey. Well congrats anyway on your hundred. Not that I think anyone noticed. And in further pointlessness, my rating has now slipped just under two. A rounded rating of one here I come! It would appear. I would say that I am surprised and shocked and ask what I did, but I'm not that sort of person m'afraid. Being randomly philosophical will get you... well not nowhere. It'll get you somewhere, just you may not like where that is. :P On the off-chance that a response will make any sense, same, the usual, sometimes they do, sometimes they don't, of course, they're reptilian, so presumably, unlikely. Have fun. :D -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Well, I'm not sure about some of the items mentioned, but I do remember that you can acquire the Alien Blade in Hawke's Manse by searching the statues. Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Me? Loyal? Not a chance. In fact, I first joined the Takers and cleared the Sholai controlled territory. Then I killed Trajkov and destroyed the Geneforge, being a good, not taking over the world me. Then I joined the Awakened. Took all the advantages and joined the Obeyers. Even after using five to get aligned with one side, there is a way to use the ten required to get over to the other side, then join the original side again. Though why someone would need to steal from someone more than once I do not know... :) Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Jeff's influence of Blades ends at the scen maker. It's the community that have to make something of it. Geneforge and II are pretty good games. But Nethergate is the best. If not Nethergate E2/A2 (depending on taste), Then comes BoE, maybe in time BoA. Then Geneforge and II. Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Congrats TM, may all the moniker-changers continue to do so, annoying innocent, easily-confused newbs! Minus about twenty, thirty, all mine have been since January. And I think at one point I managed about twenty-five in one day. Though actual content does seem few and far between. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Ah I can't complain. If I did, I might manage even less than two. Though I'm still hacked off that I'm less than a couple of points off it being rounded to three. Oh wait. Poo. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Technically, I, Robot isn't a book as such, just a collection of stories. Which might mean a completely new storyline. Which probably would mean no plot. If it uses a old storyline, everyone who read the relevant book will know what happens. Either way, the one trailer I saw of it looked pretty good on the special effects. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Well Icshi got one by badgering people. But that one was already promised through winning the competition so I guess it doesn't count. It would however take the average poster (not counting invisible newbs, because then the average would be millenia) about ten years to make 10,000. A regular poster, about six or seven. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Alternatively, you could join the Third Army, who seem to have an infinite number of troops to throw against those small bands of adventurers, and have a seemingly inpenetrable fortress, which you can't get in. Who needs horses when you've got the Army eh? On a completely related note, did anyone actually find a way into the valley where they are? I tried and tried to get through the front, and the back way, using the orb, seemed to possibly contain more. Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Yes, that as may be. If you wish to discuss something, discuss it. It is however impolite to double-post. Using the edit button is a... wiser procedure. Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

I read I, Robot. It wasn't a great book, but I have read much, much worse. I haven't actually seen any trailers for the film, but knowing Hollywood, what plot there was has probably been ruined. It wasn't an action book. The only thing worse would be trying to make some of the Larry Nivens into film. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |
