Well, it's perfectly fine to post here to say you're lurking. Lurking doesn't mean NEVER posting - it just means posting, say, less than once a week.

And hi Bob! And Bowen and Rowen, although I don't recognize either of you.

Princess Ruth has purple hair. Hi Princess Ruth! And hi High Clerist, hope you enjoy your shiny new title, if Drakey got around to bestowing it upon you.

EDIT: Typos are becoming more and more frequent...

Hello Turtlewhipper, Zeviz, Seaweed, Ken.

Why does the Loyal Underling not make an appearance? Did you lock him up in a prison, Drakey?

EDIT: Spelling 'n' stuff ya.

Lurking is basically what you've just described. People who sit around reading the forums all day but never post. About half the people who've posted in this topic count as people who are lurking.

Yay! I guess I count as lurking, because I only post in topics I create, such as this, and I stop posting when I lose interest in topics such as this, which I created, and thus post in until I'm bored of posting in this topic which is the topic I created.

Y'know, I downloaded the mac version on my PC, just to make sure XP didn't have some hidden "run BoA for mac on this machine" feature. Unfortunately, logic won out, and the file doesn't work.

I hope to beta test! Anyone of you insiders know when the betatest forms are coming out?

Outta curiosity, who's lurking? Seems that every now and then an oldbie will spring up outta nowhere, so I'm curious as to how many are actually still hanging around.

And, to relate this topic to a spiderweb-related... topic... Blades of Avernum came out, yay!

If you have the ability to use proper grammar, there should be no reason not to use it. Those who aren't educated and thus aren't able to employ their native tongue with much skill are most certainly not stupid for it (might be stupid for other reasons, but you can't know what you haven't learned). What I find really annoying is when people who've had a fine education and know how to use their own language eloquently make grammatical errors out of sheer lazyness. AOLspeak is a rather fine example of this.

On a slight tangent, I do my best to use perfect grammar and spelling on instant messenger, and use abbreviations rarely. When one gets used to sticking a period after a sentence, or typing "you" instead of "u," one finds that they type at the same speed as anyone else.

Punctuation especially grates on my nerves, beacuse many people who would otherwise be rather fine typers of the English language find it somehow awfully inconvenient to use those three extra ATP molecules required to press down the <shift> key while sending messages around.

I have a cup of tea nearly every evening, and sometimes more than just one cup. I used to put quite a bit of sugar for flavoring, but lately my taste for sweets has diminished quite a bit. I love herbal teas, especially raspberry and lemon.

Thuryl, please don't generalize the "sex after marriage crowd." I beleive sex before marriage greatly diminishes the whole emotional aspect of the act, but that's just how I view it. I don't care what other people do in their bedrooms (or offices, or vans, or broom closets, or whatever), and it's none of my business anyway.

Sex is indeed what you make of it, but isn't everything else?

Absolutely. The Finns are actually quite jolly folk with the exception of TGM.

I'm very quiet, most of the time, although sometimes I leave my usual taciturn character just out of curiosity. If any girls think I'm cute, I certainly haven't been getting any hints.

Wise, Djur was insinuating that Polaris is a ripoff of Desperance, so it's hypocritical to tell ADoS he's ripping off Polaris when we ourselves are guilty of doing the same. I think.

Youknowwhoblahblahblah, you're signature is indeed far too long. Really now, when your signature is longer than the sum of your posts in any given topic, something's wrong.

Djur meant that Lenin is not wearing any trousers, and is thus calling for help in a Russian accent. Let us gather in prayer in order for this great man to regain his lost dignity in the form of a nice pair of custom-tailored leggings.

My greatest fear in asking someone out isn't rejection, but rather that whatever prior relationship there was could be very sorely ruined. I wouldn't be able to face a good friend if I'd asked her out and she said "no." The only girl I've ever asked out is someone I barely know, so when she told me she wasn't interested, I really lost nothing.

Speaking only for myself, if a girl asked me out and I said "no," my opinion of her wouldn't change in the slightest. But I always get the feeling that a girl who rejects me would misinterperet any kindness I show as just trying to continue getting her to date me.

I tried to save poor Ally, but it was too late. Now nobody will allow him back into the family.

Incidentally, I was described once as looking rather dragonish. Yay.
