I think the older graphics were way better.
The new ones just seem to look a little bit... strange

Different Exile Graphics in The Exile Trilogy

I don't know whether this has been mentioned before, but anyway...

The very first time i found out about Exile was off a old Mac demo disc many years back, which had the unregistered versions of Exile 1 and 2 on it.

However, when i downloaded Exile for my Windows computer, i noticed that all the graphics were much different from the ones on my Mac. The Mac ones seemed more 'cartoony', yet they seemed clearer and more appropriate, in a word 'better' than the ones currently avaliable for Windows download.

Is this because of a difference in the operating system, or was it an older version of Exile?

After recently seeing the 'What books do you read?' topic i decided to make a 'what music do you listen to?' one. Feel free to share what music you're into and any albums you like.

I myself prefer the heavy/ hardcore metal bands like Slipknot, Mudvayne, System of a Down,Mushroomhead Metallica.. but i also like the classical/metal gothic style bands like Cradle of Filth, Tristania,Theatre of Tragedy and Nightwish.

All of those should be rather cheap.

Took the words right out of my mouth.. I reckon Morrowind and Diablo 2 have got to be the best non SW games in existance

Hmm.. let me see.. im halfway through 'The Science of Discworld II: The Globe' quite an interesting book. Im also reading a non-fiction one called 'Battlegrounds' all about the geography of battlefields. I just finished reading the Matthew Reilly series (Ice Station, Scarecrow.. etc.. if you dont know the series, i really recommend it) and the Belgarid series by David Eddings about the third time.. good stuff..

AAARGHH!!! they should have never got rid of the Exile spell system (i realise that this is off topic) there were sooo many spells and most of them were so unnecesary.. but they were good, u had soo many choices.

Just for fun i captured some cows in the crystal and i used my 2 mages to keep summoning them in a fight i had against some giant lizards. Eventually i had about 20 cows on my side and the lizards were eventually overpowered. Mwahahaha... fear my cow army!!!!

The same sort of problem happened to me.. i slaughtered all of the Vahnatain and Alien Beasts around Rentar-Ihrno. I put a circle of fire barriers around her. i have activated all the things on the higher levels and all the goo has accumilated. As i approach the control panel.. no matter what button i press all the goo runs off and it says i have done something wrong. I have the activated amulets.. but weird.. nothing happens

Or any fungus related beings. They are awesome..

And the slimes are pretty good too.. Especially the Viscous Goo.

Undead are great too.. especially the liches and the quickghasts

I found the test of mind and the test of speed in E/A 2 awesome. Navigating a maze filled with creatures while on your own while running from quickfire could be really annoying and frustrating or terribly interesting. The puzzle which i found the most interesting was the golem conveyor belt thingy place in E3.
