The Drakons in Geneforge, particularily the Unbound. The Alien Slime in Avernum, and also the Drake Lords or whatever they're called. Nethergate... the Romans and Celts look very unique to the game. Subterra... Block of Dirt #31,427 is definitely a work of art. And of course, Richard White himself. Of course, after a saw him, I died two yesterdays from tomorrow. -------------------- "I'm happy I'm the mentally disturbed person I am." -Nioca "Yes, Iffy is a demon." -Iffy "To fly, throw yourself at the ground and miss." -The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Posts: 1186 | Registered: Friday, June 18 2004 07:00 |

Everything stopped. The inverted pyramid was down, and now... Ahonard dropped what he was doing, and darted to the coffing in a blur. A booming voice knocked him to the ground, saying: "This is the coffin of the Sun of Old, Hyperion!" Jumping back to his feet, Ahonar arrived at the coffin, trying to pry the lid off. No success. Something was stirring in the coffin Ahonar sealed his lips, knowing that blasting upon the coffin would kill him, and all in the tobm. Instead, he launched a barrage against the Shadows, and the Guardian. Mostly his forte, spears of fire, balls of fire, and fire bombs. He closed his eyes, and surrounded himself in an aura of fire, that erupted forth explosively. Looking for help, he also summoned as many of his own Anama soldiers to the tomb as he could, to help him fight.

Strawberry I can see, but how has peach got only two votes!?! After a hard days night full of considering it, I'm changing my vote to TM's huge moniker thread. There was some hilarious stuff in there. A close second is Ed's script thread, which as everyone knows turned into Episode One. After that, the RP in the World of Avernum. Very first RP, and upon review it only stands testament to how much my writing has changed in... a few years. Other then that, there were a bunch of good debate threads in Geneforge, mostly the ones including ET.

Considering there is only one game's intro music I can ever remember at any point in time, no matter how long ago I played it, that game wins by default. Nethergate for the win! As for A2, I remember I didn't like the intro, at all. Geneforge IV was good as well, as I can remember it in a positive light... but that's probably because I played it so much. How's the Avernum 5 music? -------------------- "I'm happy I'm the mentally disturbed person I am." -Nioca "Yes, Iffy is a demon." -Iffy "To fly, throw yourself at the ground and miss." -The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Posts: 1186 | Registered: Friday, June 18 2004 07:00 |

Ahonar cursed silently under his breath as I heard his defenses break down below. The snaking tunnels were long, but atleast there was only one. His attempts to use his godly power to find out what lay in the Pyramid were futile, and so were his attempts to teleport. After much turning, and an ever increasing slope, with the adventurers apparently on his heels. Finally, he reached the pinnacle of the Pyramid, the four walls meeting in one. Looking around, he noted the next way, a shaft going straight down to an underground chamber. Enough to kill a mortal man! Grinning, he leaped down the shaft, ignoring the spiral staircase, and landed on the cold slab slightly dizzy. By the time the adventurers made it down the staircase, or even got to the point it was safe to jump, he would have his prize, and be unstoppable. Seeing the prize in an inverted pyramid hanging from the ceiling, he leaped at it, but couldn't grasp it. An ancient voice spoke in his head a riddle: "Who was the Walrus?" Not knowing, he tried breaking in by force. Yet no matter how much power he hurled at the inverted pyramid, it did nothing. That is to say, it did nothing but awaken the ancient Guardian of the Dagger.

Nioca, you can post whenever. I'd prefer that we took this battle outside, as our last battle was further muddled by the location of the fight. Faction: The Hunter Empire/The Neo-Hunter Empire Ideology: The Neo-Hunters follow the same basic ideological undercurrents as the Hunters of Old, in that they see non-humans as the root of evil, but they have a much different way of dealing with them. While the Old Hunters would have killed all non-humans they saw, the Neo-Hunters are somewhat more pacifist. War is devastating to all involved, and the Hunters have a large refugee populace that is rather war-weary. Also, to present a more appealing image, the Neo-Hunters propose instead banishing them all to Avernum, a one way portal. Future plans involve merging into the new Empire, the replacement to the Pralgadian and Aizoan Empire. History: After the Fall of the Old Hunters, Claw Hardblade, the only surviving of the original Hunters, fled north, into Farport. Then, the Rakshasi came, cleaning everything out like a Plague. Gathering some guardsmen who liked his message, he invaded the Rakshasi holdings in Krizsan, managing to liberate the city, at a high cost. The horrified guardsmen stayed behind in Krizsan while Claw took away refugees and prisoners via Rakshasi boats back to Farport. Returning to an invaded Farport, refugees and survivors lightened up to his message. Soon, the Hunters expanded into Gidrik and Porter's Retreat, with Krizsan being an outpost of the Hunters. Seeking to expand, a skillful missionary was sent to the city of Sharimik, and he started spreading the message of the Hunters. This completely offset the competing power trying to sway Sharimik, the Sanctuary, and soon dominated over them. Negotiations then began between the Hunters and Sanctuary for control of Sharimik. Meanwhile, the Hunters also started expanding west, fighting against hidden non-humans, trying to get a land route to Krizsan, lessening its isolationism. Also, a diplomat by the name of Brother Evergreen started negotiations with the Dominion of the Learned. Location: South-Central Valorim, Krizsan Capital: Sharimik Government - Republic. Only landowning, literate humans are allowed to vote, or run. Religion: None officially, religious freedom now reigns. Three major churches are followed: First, the strongest, is the Church of the Bright Star. Second, a sort of Imperial Cult worshipping Tygra and his rumored son as gods, necromatic slightly. Finally, Atheism has caught on due to the horrifying events of the Time of the Star. Minor churches also include the Anama and Sanctuary in Sharimik. Total Population: There an estimated two and a half thousand Hunters, exceptionally large for the post-Star world of Ermarian. Of these, all are human, and half of them are refugees of some sort. Reconstruction of the cities is slowly lessening the number of refugees, along with the construction of new cities to the west. Military Strength - Moderately Strong. An estimated half of the populace is trained in some sort of combat, and roughly ten percent of the population is in the standing military. Mages are few and scattered, but are rather powerful, and are valuable to the army. Priests are more common, as people either got much closer or much farther from the gods during the Time of the Star, leading to an increase in battle priests. Still, an estimated sixty percent of the military are infantry, with the officers, all calvary, being a further fifteen percent. Archers also make up fifteen percent, and mages and priests take up the rest. Composite forces such as "divine warriors" (priest-warriors) or "spell warriors" (mage-warriors) are included in the mage and priest category. Recently, after much work, a navy has been starting to take shape. Major Characters: Tygra Nyrulia: Emperor of the Hunters, his corpse was recovered in Krizsan and plans are being made to revive him. The plan is to get him to have an heir, then let his corpse be buried properly. Claw Hardblade: Sole survivor of the original Hunter regime, one of the original bandits of the Hunters. President of the Imperial Assembly, de facto leader of the Hunters. Named after Claw Hardblade of the Inn of Blades. He is, ultimately, the architect of the Neo-Hunters, a liberal split from the Old Hunters. The Senators: The legislative body of the Empire, effectively controlling the nation. They elect the President of the Imperial Assembly. As the Emperor is "incapacitated", they have gained much power that they don't intend on giving up.(Real World parallel=British Parliament) Commander Barleycorn Governor-General of Krizsan and Commander of the Southern Army, Johnathon Barleycorn was a mercenary leader who was a friend of Hardblade during Tygra's regime. After the Fall of the Hunters, he renounced the ideology publically, but admitted he still followed the ideas when Hardblade was recruiting. Leader of the mercenaries who helped attack Krizsan during the Time of the Star, stayed behind to spread the word. He is the Ambassador to the Pheonix Empire. Brother Evergreen: A refugee from the north, he was once a druid of the Order of Krell. During the Time of the Star, his temple was burned down by the Rakshasi, and soon afterwards as his flock fled nephil bandits killed them. The hatred of non-humans gathering in him, and he arrived weak and tired to Gidrik, where the Hunters revived him. Agreeing with their ideology, he joined. He then ran an important diplomatic mission to reestablish ties with the Dominion. Sphere of Influence: Gidrik, Farport, and Porter's Retreat all bow to the Hunters. Krizsan is held as a military outpost, a sort of fuedal state. A strong following is being built up in Sharimik, with the sway of the city coming to the Hunters. Recently, colonists moved west, settling a nearby island in the Bigail Channel, and an exdetion is being sent into the uninhabited forestry. Fleets are already being built, and the Rakshasi fleet holds minor control of the route from Farport to Krizsan. Relations with other factions: -Negotiations with the Pheonix Empire, trade in return for dealing with the Freeman Bandits. Initially positive recieving, but little else so far. The Hunters sent a covert attack by burning a crucial bridge, stopping vital food supplies. -An ideological battle with the Sanctuary for the hearts and minds of Sharimik has caused somewhat terse relations with them. This is something the Hunters seek to mend, and have sent diplomats to negotiate with them. -The Dominion of the Learned has had the grace of a diplomatic envoy sent to try to reignite relations with them. -The Enlightened Anama have been visited by a Hunter, who is also Anama, and no official relations have been set up yet. Summary: Post 1 Intro post, attempts to convert Sharimik to the Hunters goes along initially well. Post 2 The Hunters officially emancipate the human slaves in Sharimik to deal a blow against the Sanctuary's efforts. Meanwhile in Porter's Retreat a diplomatic envoy makes it's way towards the Dominion, crossing over the bridge and heading towards Golddale. Post 3 The Pheonix Empire arrives in Krizsan proposing trade. Commander Barleycorn tells them that if they were to deal with local brigands he'd be open to negotiations. Meanwhile, in Sharimik, a Hunter approaches a Sanctuary temple to negotiate with them. Post 4 The Imperial Assembly sends an amount of poor, homeless Hunters to Sharimik, to set up a cultural garrison. Meanwhile, the missionary sent to Sharimik goes to the Sanctuary temple to negotiate the partioning of Sharimik. In Farport however, Hardblade manages to convince the Assembly to begin colonization of the western uninhabited lands. Post 5 The missionary in Sharimik negotiates with the Sanctuary, and the missionary announces religious freedom for Sharimik and all Hunters. Colonists arrive by boat in Jubilee island, an island in the Bigail Channel, and create a colonial city there. In the mainland wilderness, the expedition finds and destroys a nephil village. Finally, Brother Evergreen begins negotiations with the Dominion. Post 6 The missionary in Sharimik manages to successfully win Sharimik over for the Hunters, with a Sanctuary embassy there. In Krizsan, a brigde connecting the Hunters and the Empire is burned down. In Farport meanwhile, an expedition is sent downriver to help find a route to Krizsan. The Expedionary Force finds the ruins of a portal hub, and plans are made to restart the city. The colony on Jubilee soon rapidly grows, and Delphi is sent to make contact with the Anama. Post 7 Intro to Hitchhiker's Guide to Ermarian. Barleycorn continues diplomacy with the Empire, while a mage in the employ of the Assembly begins attacks on New Sumar. Evergreen, having set up a mostly acceptable alliance with the Dominion, inquires about their ability to restart Nexus. The Expeditionary Fleet fights against Slithzerikai in the waters, before eventually settling in the lands of a Dragon for the night. The Expeditionary Force meanwhile continues on to Fort Blades, while a smaller force investigates the ruins of Fort Submergance. In the Sleeve, colonists come in droves to settle the land. Finally, in Sharimik, two Thieves are being interrogated. OOC: No need to go this fast people Krizsan The flag of the Hunters the Eye against a red background, flew over a sad scene. The last ruins in the once great city of Krizsan had been carted away. The rubble had been gathered, poured into the walls to strengthen them. The stone had been taken to the construction sites, where new cities were being built. The wood, however, was being turned into ships. Most of them were for fishing, a few for trading with other settlements in Krizsan. However, an entire third were warships, to build the so-called Southern Fleet. The lessons of the past had been remembered, and Krizsan was not going to get caught with its pants down. Beyond the walls, the only truly completed structure in the city, lay the wheat fields. Here, the proles, mostly refugees from the Rakshasi lands to the north, worked. They were eager, and loyal, accepting both the Hunter ideology and thankful for the work and stability of the field. Farther beyond them, the Freemen and their orchards labored. They were interlopers, setting up orchards and using their mercenaries to force exorbitant trade with Krizsan. They had their mercenaries, or bandits rather, gather supplies from ruined cities as far north as Fort Blades. Meanwhile, they traded these and the fruits they grew, forcing Krizsan to pay more or be attacked by the mercenaries. One day, the proles noticed an army approaching rapidly. Frightened, they ran into the walls the city, alerting the soldiers. A small envoy in sub-standard Hunter uniform*, with a sizable amount of protection marched out and met the foreigners. After being satisfied of their positive intentions, the Fifty-first was led into the city. After dinner, the commander introduced himself to the Fifty-first's leader, "My name is Commander Johnathon Barleycorn," he said, taking a swig of ale, "And I'm in charge of this city." Then, Johnny Barleycorn explained his ideology, and how this was an outpost of the Neo-Hunters, in between drinking ale that was. His men distrubited copies of the Pamphlet amongst the others while the leaders talked. Listening attentively, as the alcohol seemed to do little to dull his mental facilities, he heard the proposal for trade. "I'm sorry, but we can't. You see, there are a bunch of bandits up north aways. They have a sizable mercenary force watching us, and they force us to trade with them at horrible prices. Between that and taxes, we barely have enough left over to feed ourselves. Maybe if someone were to get rid of the Freeman army in Silvar by a sneak attack from the north..." he said, winking. Sharimik A man approached the temple of Sanctuary, in peasantry clothing, armed only with a dagger at his side. Though of course, he also had some skill in magic, mostly flashy stuff, literally. The Eye badge at his chest identified him as a Hunter. Holding his arms out in peace, he shouted to the Temple. "I come in peace! I am here to negotiate with the Sanctuary over Sharimik for the Hunters! Please let me in!" *The standard unifrm is under garments (light silky stuff), covered by leather pants, gauntlets, boots, and shirt, with an ironcap and an iron/bronze chainmail skirt. Equipment wise, an iron/bronze spear, a last resort short sword/dagger, and a kite shield. Sub-standard would be all bronze, with the leather being worn out somewhat. -------------------- "I'm happy I'm the mentally disturbed person I am." -Nioca "Yes, Iffy is a demon." -Iffy "All (Spiderweb) servers should be taken down, erased, and then subjected to dissolution by alkahest." -Alorael Posts: 1186 | Registered: Friday, June 18 2004 07:00 |

You are very good at picking up symbolism for the flags. Anyways, I'm pretty sure the Anama have Softport, and the mountain range in Krizsan has a few passes you neglected to show. Nothing else immediantly jumps out at me, so good job. EDIT: Just realized... if I want to make any serious expansions, I'm going to have to fight Sanctuary or the Anama eventually. The Anama not necessarily for the island, but for the Bay of Bigail. Southern expansion might be wisest, for the short term anyways. Man, that sucks. If I had some allies, I might pull it off, but as it is it's a lost cause. ET, that is very good. Good luck with Valorim though, really. Currently, nothing. It's the final week of the semester, so everything is just one major review. On a more broad scale, well, here are my classes: AP English - And I'm very worthy of the class as well. Pulling a solid 'A', also one of the best writers in the class, especially creative writings. I even wrote an entire poem about the death of the class pet, Skeeter the Chinese Beta. I could post it, if requested. Physics/Chemistry - Basically, a condensed version of physics first semester, and a condensed version of chemistry next. It's supposed to be for next years science, so that means I'll have an advanced science course. World Studies - Euro-centric version. Greco-Roman, Middle Ages, Renaissance, Industrialization, World Wars, New Imperialism, etc. Very easy due to my advanced memory. Earth Sciences - The only science class I have to take this year, and frankly very boring. Pulling a good 'A' here, like all my other classes, and I only really try to excel due to my selected career: Civil Engineer. Math - Plain old math. As mentioned earlier, my intelligence is more memory oriented. Gets me through a lot of things, but not math. Still, I'm sufficient in this subject, and have no fears that sheer hard work will get me to where I want to be.

Farport The council assembled before Hardblade. Scouts had reported on two faces, one new and one old. The first, the 'Sanctuary' was some sort of religious cult. They were trying to undermine efforts in Sharimik, which they hoped to make their capital. Not acceptable. Something would have to be done about them, and efforts in Sharimik would be redoubled. The second, was much more different. The Dominion of the Learned was an invaluable force to have on their side. They could, potentially, wipe out the small settlement of New Hunteria. An ambassador would have to be sent there, and some sort of agreement reached. Even if it was just a mutual peace treaty, it was better then nothing. Magic was stronger than any god in these dark days. Meanwhile, after these actions had been decided, a young senator asked Hardblade about his name. "Well, when I was young, after the Fall but before the Star," Hardblade started, "I conquered Fort Blades on behalf of the Hunters, as I was one of his original soldiers. There, I read up on its history in the Encyclopedia Ermariana. Back in the day, Fort Blades wasn't the boundary between Upper Avernum and the Empire, it was an inn. The inn's only keeper, Claw Hardblade, earned a reputation as a slayer of the Kitties that inhabitated these lands. And so, I adopted his name." Claw paused, then decided to give a peice of advice to the Senator. "Now, as the leader of this encampment, I realize that the Hunters had many things wrong, and that Tygra bearly held on to control, so he had to turn Dictator. I know he didn't want to, but it was the only way to keep the Hunters alive. But it shouldn't be worth it if you have to enslave a human. He forgot that the Non-Humans don't just need to be dealt with, the Humans need to be treated how they deserve." Sharimik The Hunter spokesperson had, while the Sanctuary man tried to pry at his apparent hold on the city, walked over to a line of human slaves chained to an anvil at the harbor. With a mighty grunt, he smashed the chains with a pick, conveniently right as the Sanctuary man's speech ended. "My people," he said to the slaves, loud enough for the crowd to hear, "Who did this to you? Slavery, from this day forth, shall not rear its ugly head in this town! We are the Chosen People of the gods, and we must stick together, not put each other in chains! Nevermore, my friends, nevermore!" The reaction of the crowd was mixed. Liberationists, the freed slaves, and Hunter converts cheered, while the slave traders and slave owners fumed silently. The majority, however, simply stood dumbfounded. Some of them remembered a day, long before, when there were no slaves, under the Empire. That anyone could have the economic muscle to bring this back was great, and many had not welcomed slavery at all, but grudgingly accepted it as necessary for the economy. With military strength strong enough to prevent the instability of the Time of the Star, and the time beyond, as long as the promise of a strong economy, many talked amongst themselves. The Hunters, it seemed, had no flaws. From the spokesperson, pamphlets began to circulate. The Pamphlet The Solution to the Non-Human Problem: by Claw Hardblade In these dark days, there seem to be no end to problems. Farms are torched. Wells are dry. Wild beasts roam the lands. Bandits kill their own brothers to survive. What is the root of these problems? In short, it's the Fall of the Empire and the Avernite Kingdom. But the problems have their undercurrents going back much farther. In the early days of Avernum (OOC: This would go so far as A5, as it has been a long time), hostile inhabitants of the caves threatened to spill innocent blood. The Slithzerikai, (sp?) the Nephil, the Demons, the Vahnatai, the Goblins, the Giants, the Nephar, and monsters like cave puddings, all of them fought against the Avernites, and all in turn were defeated, and sometimes integrated. Yet in these days they showed their true nature, a pure barbarian way of life and extreme xenophobic attitudes. The integrated hide these barbaric ways under clothes and humanspeak, but they still hold the same, animalistic feelings in their hearts. The same holds true for the Empire. Savage Giants existed in a state of constant warfare with each other, and it was only following their extermination that peace graced their lands. More so, primitive Nephil inhabited the Swamps of Dralgath, and were the very hallmark of uncivilized peoples, living in huts and swampland, though frankly they deserved these pitiful conditions. They, in their barbaric lifestyle, attacked the two nearby Imperial cities, and made off with their women and children, like the scoundrels they were. The Imperial Army did a great justice by invading and annexing, greatly reducing the Nephil population. Then the Troglodytes, found in mines in Pralgad, who struck out upon seeing the noble human form, most likely in some sort of bizarre form of envy. They too were wiped out. And then of course, there's the Vahnatai. Nearly destroying the Avernites during the Empire-Avernum War, they only saved Avernum when they were give the chance to join and kill Imperial soldiers. Not satisfied with this, their hatred for the humans caused them to bring the Plagues upon Valorim. Acidic slimes, disease-bearing roaches, Troglodytes, Giants, twisted alien beasts, and magic weilding golems. Once stopped by the Surface Explorers, the Vahnatai turned their bloodlust to the Avernites, spreading terror and death to the Kingdom, until finally their deadly leader Rentar-Ihrno was killed. Finally seeing the superiority of the Humans, they retreated from the encroaching Humans, although in many cases there were battles, all victories for the Human Race. Reviewing history, the enlightenment that in reality the great problems of Our Peoples all stem from one, horrid source, the Non-Humans, becomes clear. As the Chosen People of the gods, we must unite under one banner, and do the work of the gods now. Humanity has shown it is superior time and again to the perversions of nature that roam Ermarian, now we must unite, and end this Holy War once and for all. Yet they don't need to be killed, for the Nephil and Slithzerikai have showed themselves to have some potential for decency. No, instead, all that needs to happen is the extermination of the darker races, goblins, giants, etc., and the exiling of the Nephil and Slithzerikai to Avernum, where they may do as they please, far from humanity. Porter's Retreat News had just arrived from the Imperial Assembly. A diplomatic envoy was to be sent to the Dominion. The Ambassador, a travelling diplomat in the time before the Star, selling his services to heal relations between the fractured factions, had arrived in town. Calling himself Brother Evergreen, and saying he was from some long gone temple, he had gathered his diplomatic staff. The mayor personally gave him access to the city's coffers, and he took what he felt was neccessary for the journey. Lastly bringing with him a few city guards, he travelled east. Within half a day, he was at the bridge, the boundary point over which the Hunter Lands ended, and the Dominion began. Walking cautiously onto it, he noticed something at halfway, an engraved line outlaid in bronze. On his side, the word "HUNTERS" was etched in, while on the other side it said "DOMINION". Remembering Hardblade saying this was from the earlier Hunters, under Tygra, as the border, he smiled. Looking up, he saw some figures approaching the envoy from the Dominion side of the bridge.

Nioca: Please don't withdraw your conversion efforts from Sharimik. I want it to be a battle of hearts and minds for this city. I'm also thinking the Anama will try to keep Sharimik, as it was their's before the TotS. A note on the Neo-Hunterian Empire: It's a land of contradictions. As the RP goes on, I'm going to abolish human slavery*, make religious freedom, etc. Basically, if you're a human, you get freedoms, and if you're a non-human, you get the axe. *"My brethern, do you not see how wrong this is? These are humans you enslave, and this cannot be upheld! It's all for one, and one for all, and as the Chosen People we must stick together, not put each other in chains! It's not acceptable!" -------------------- "I'm happy I'm the mentally disturbed person I am." -Nioca "Yes, Iffy is a demon." -Iffy "All (Spiderweb) servers should be taken down, erased, and then subjected to dissolution by alkahest." -Alorael Posts: 1186 | Registered: Friday, June 18 2004 07:00 |

quote:Good idea, let's turn this into a thread on linguistics. We might even manage to salvage something of this burnt out grave! Esperanto isn't a real language in the respect that it was naturally developed, but it was developed with full intent of it becoming an IAL. Having failed this, it still manages some sort of use for "mystery" languages. It's the realest of the fake, well above, say, Pig Latin. On Spanish however, you're blatantly wrong. Spanish didn't become predominant because it's more "defined" or "elegant", it got predominant the same way English did: Good Colonization. Spain planted their population in large tracts of Latin America, spreading their language on to the natives. And now, those Latin Americans are going to the US, spreading themselves even further. Then of course, there's the Spaniards themselves. -------------------- "I'm happy I'm the mentally disturbed person I am." -Nioca "Yes, Iffy is a demon." -Iffy The Two Universal Truthes: "All I know is that I know nothing" -Socrates "I think, therefore I am." -René Descartes Posts: 1186 | Registered: Friday, June 18 2004 07:00 |

Sharimik In the city square, a man stood on a crate, looking over the disillusioned populace. The Rakshasi, the evil monster-kittens, had set torch to here, like all other places, though the city had the fortune of maintaining itself as a human stronghold, unlike the charred ruins of Krizsan. The man, identifiable by the tattoo of an eye on his forehead, boomed out in a leaders voice: "my people, I come to you from the south lands, south of the bridge. The southern lands have good news, the Rakshasi are gone! Their mighty armies have all been felled, and now only patchs of the monster-kitties remain in the lands south of here. No fear, they will not be able to enter Sharimik, for between here and there lies a mighty force of humans, who will not let them pass alive. We are the Neo-Hunters, a perfected version of the Hunters of old, and we have come here with a message. In these dark and turbulent times, who was it that destroyed the mighty nations that sprang forth on this Ermarian during the Time of the Star? Non-Humans! Who was it that brutally burned whole cities to the ground, and massacred humans for simply existing? Non-Humans! Who was it that devoured parents infront of their children, then killed the youngest's siblings? Non-Humans! Who were the barbarians who inhabited these lands before us, before the Empire came? Non-Humans! Ladies and gentlemen, I ask you to take a stand for Humanity, to protect against those who would destroy. For, as long as the nephil and nepharim, the sliths and the drakes, the dragons and the fae, the whole lot of them exist, there cannot be peace on Ermarian. Magic is not the foe, it is the non-humans. The Anama would have you believe that magic created the Plagues of Valorim, but it was the Vahnatai scum. And what did magic do to make the Rakshasi? Nothing. Ask yourselves, who was it that brought about the two great nations of the world, who invented every single modern invention, who united this world in ways never though possible? HUMANS!" The battle for Sharimik raged, and the Neo-Hunters had a solid base, the Rakshasi's massacres, to use as a weapon. --- Name: Neo-Hunters/Hunters Leader: God Emperor Tygra Nyrulia (Dead, Still Seen as Leader); Imperial Assembly President Claw Hardblade Government Type: Republic Religion: No official, or even dominant religion, in Hunter Lands, and their is unofficial religious freedom. Location: North of Gidrik to the river, east along the river/lake to Porter's Retreat, and west to Farport until river and mountains. Southern border is the road line and the mountains. Small military presence in the ruins of Krizsan. Description: Near the end of the Time of the Star, Claw Hardblade (real name unknown) set about taking back Krizsan from the Rakshasi. His mercenary coalition faced a lot of losses, but eventually killed the Rakshasi there, and also recovered Tygra's corpse. Setting free several human prisoners the Rakshasi were saving as food, the group set off on Rakshasi seacraft to Farport, leaving a token military presence behind. Once arriving in Farport, the general distrust towards non-humans after the Rakshasi invasion led to Gidrik and Porter's Retreat being added to the Neo-Hunter Empire. Wilderness is the southern border, with bands of Rakshasi occasionally showing up, along with bandits, goblins, and nephil/nephar. The three cities have a rather war-weary populace, and as such no plans for military annexation have been made to take the north. Three representatives are selected from each city, with Claw Hardblade, the only surviving original Hunter, one of Tygra's original bandits, serving as their leader. Plans are being made to revive Tygra by means of necromancy. You even started us a new thread. How kind. You might want to do this with the Episode thread also.

This is a family forum for Christ's sake OB! If you're going to have such a question, atleast give it a better title. I was hoping for something good when I opened up something with "Debate" in it. You disappoint me. EDIT: Iffy, clones are copies of one's self. Changing the gender makes it a non-clone. quote:Drakey had a form we all used in the original thread. You can see it in his second post, which is also the second post in the original thread. I'd use that. Anyways, half a sort of rallying speech/IC justification, half the OOC form. I think I might get my faction's intro up tomorrow. I've got finals next week, though, so I wouln't be around to much in the beginning.
