Now, after the Rebellion succeeds, it is unlikely this shortage would continue, but if someone could realize this and implement it in the new Terrestia it would really help general sanity remain.

Anyway, well Emporer Cheatergolar could learn about making bots. And maybe he does have experience, but doesn't want to show...

Neither. The man in the scripts has always been described as a man. That, the bots, the hatred of Spidweb, and being a former Spidwebber is all we know of him.

Do not insult people who cannot respond, it's incredibly low of you. However, he does seem to fit the bill pretty well. Along with Ed, who has tried hacking Spidweb before, according to the mods.

Not cool Iffy. FYI, if everyone is insane then the definition of sanity is changed. The Barzites are good, but the tradeoff is rather extreme. Personally, the Rebels seem like one of the better sides, giving power in a meritocratic sort of way, and give greater liberties to the masses. It's just their ruling party that's messed up, as power, both here on Earth and Terrestia, corrupts.

Dikiyoba's a female, smart one. Other then Ed I can't think of anyone noteworthy that would do it, except maybe TM or Emperor Tullegolar. They all have problems though, Ed's an idiot, TM seems loyal, and I don't think ET has any experience with bots.

G4, probably followed by a four way tie of G1, A2, A3, and BoA. Meh. They're all good.

Radiance supposedly helps fight undead. Not very useful, don't bother.

Vampiric Touch is more useful however, and takes life from your opponent and gives it to you.

Nah. Release early, release often. ;)

When things go wrong... don't go with them.

Basically, you need to get good experience, and a structured environment for practice tends to help with that process. Obviously, Christopher Paolini is a decent writer, especially for his age, but at this point he's an amateur that got a good break.

Now, as for me, I am currently finishing up Flowers for Algernon, a fairly good read. Difficult towards the beginning and end due to the misspellings and improper grammar.

Have you even tried reading Eragon?

I think the Inheritance trilogy is very good.

Of course I have, and I have to say that I didn't find much of anything original in it. To all young aspiring writers: go to college and train in English and what not before actually writing your first book.

EDIT: Although, you really should try Where's Waldo. It's a brilliant book on par with many of the greatest tomes in known history.

It will probably come out soon.
Also, this thread might attract the wrath of UBB with its size...

Why do you lot care about a book written by a sixteen year old. If you're into that fantasy genre, go read something like Harry Potter or the Lord of the Rings.

Meanwhile, I just read one of the best books in the world, Where's Waldo.

Of course I name my creations. That doesn't mean I get attached to a bunch of numbers and pixels though. However, it's usually in my best interest to keep my creations alive until the rollover into the next chapter where I can Shape better creations to take their place.

A lot of the pirate-ninja combat depends on IMAGE(http://www.olavsplates.com/foto/fin_alb642.jpg)

A new gimmick I'm working on. A celebratory image for each of my posts, assuming there is a decent image to be found. Better then making a celebratory thread for a milestone, atleast in my view.

1. A ninja might be a skilled assassin, but the pirate has a gun. Assuming he's not to drunk to aim straight, the pirate wins.

2. Spartans have strong, round sheild, bronze armor, high quality bronze weaponry, and crazy societal skill. Vikings (stereotypically) have chainmail, low quality iron weaponry, and also have crazy societal skills. It's close, but the Spartan wins.

3. The Shapers would be able to create Drakons and whatnot to swarm, just as the Wizard does. The Wizard can summon strong powerful creations as well. The difference being the Wizard's summonings are temporary. Still, the Wizard has more powerful spells and could probably get the work done faster with his creations, and wins the fight.

4. With the bow that is so characteristic of the samurai, then they'd be able to get a few shots in. Now, that gives them the chance to inflict some damage on the knight, maybe even get a shot at the eyes if they're lucky. I'm going to take this and say that the knight lost his lance and they're now dismounted. The mighty sword of the knight finds a new head for it's collection, but the knight is definitly worse off because of it.

5. Frankly, I don't now much about Aztecs and only a bit more from the Celts. However, I thinkly I'll follow the concensus and go with the Celts for their superior weaponry, iron, long slashing swords.

So, I recently was sitting in boredom listening to music, when I realized a twist on the old Pirate v. Ninja debate. So, I come before you with a variety of examples, that if I may say, are very stereotypical of me.

1. A pirate of the Golden Age of Piracy in the Caribbean, with all of his stereotypical weaponry, battles a similarily stereotypical ninja to the death. Please state who the victor would be and why.

2. A stereotypical Viking raider operating primarily in the British Isles, with all of his stereotypical weaponry, battles a similarily Spartan you would find in the Battle of Thermopylae to the death. Please state who the victor would be and why.

3. A party member from Avernum/Exile at the end of the game who has learned all of the priest spells and mage spells duels in a magic competition with a Shaper/Lifecrater PC at the end of the game who can Shape all creations and cast all spells. Please state the victor and the reason why.

4. A stereotypical Japanese samurai with all of his armor and weaponry battles a knight who also has all of his armor and weaponry. Please state who the victor would be and why, keeping in mind they're both on horseback.

5. A stereotypical Aztec warrior with all of his stereotypical weaponry battles a similarily stereotypical Celtic warrior to the death. Please state who the victor would be and why. Please note that this is not Nethergate or Nethergate: Resurrection.

I would actually beg to differ. It would not be any fun with a wizard. The game would either be to easy for him, or insanely hard for the others. It's all in the name of balance, my friend.

As for an average character, that's also unbalanced. If you don't have restrictions, you could easily make a character like your Wizard, with only a slight disadvantage in comparison.

As for my opinions, the basic three should definitly be kept, maybe the Guardian/Warrior given a little bonus to compete with the Servile. The Shocktrooper, also, should either go or be given a bonus similar to the Guardian/Warrior. Perhaps a good amount of mechanics and leadership? The Servile, the solid muscle machine, the tank. Definitly a keeper, especially since it gives you different text occasionally. Adds to the replayability.

We all found this company, it's boards, and the games some how or another, so what's your story? How did you stumble upon Spiderweb Software, it's wonderous gifts, and this den of insanity?

Personally, I found Geneforge I and II via Real Arcade. I noticed the name of the company on the screen, and eventually decided to check it out. From there, I continued on to play the Avernum games, Geneforge III, Avernum IV, and Geneforge IV. It's been a good, fun time.

That is one-hundred percent correct. They're so good that they'll be able to find this website and manage to connect any potential candidate and connect him/her with the usernames on this board, which seem to fluctuate often. Just like I will be able to become the next King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Iran.

Warriors are inferior to more superior classes like the Infiltrator, the Lifecrafter, and the Servile. Just because it has a sword and bashes things doens't mean it's the best.
