You guys are just too goofy. Work together and create something better than the two you have created. (yeah, like this is gonna happen) Really, don't bash each other. The first app I created was pretty crappy, but I sure was proud of it. The programmer I worked with congratulated me even though they knew is was crappy too. :) So don't pee on someone else's Cheerios because you have a better program. -------------------- Don't eat dirt, its nasty. Don't use keygens. The sites that have keygens are full of porn and many keygens contain viruses and exploits that can cause harm to your PC. Spiderweb will help you get a new key granted they can find your purchase record. Jeff helped me last year when I had to reinstall BoA on my new PC. He even answered my email within the same day. (~4 hours actually). -------------------- Don't eat dirt, its nasty. Posts: 17 | Registered: Tuesday, June 1 2004 07:00 |

I think the color will be chartreuse with neon yellow highlights. :D I really don't care, the games are all great regardless of their color. -------------------- Don't eat dirt, its nasty. Posts: 17 | Registered: Tuesday, June 1 2004 07:00 |

Uh, sorry for posting this info about HOTU. I guess I didn't know the legalities well enough. I didn't realized they acknowledged the their site may be illegal. What a bummer! :( It is a pretty nifty place to go for really old software. I guess it may be illegal, but the software companies don't really care about their ultra old titles. Who knows? -------------------- Don't eat dirt, its nasty. Posts: 17 | Registered: Tuesday, June 1 2004 07:00 |

@behind stingy cactus: Home of the Underdogs is a good place to find abandonware. It is all legal, no piracy there. Also, just because I miss them, doesn't mean I play them. I just miss them. I have too little time to play the newer games as it is. :) -------------------- Don't eat dirt, its nasty. Posts: 17 | Registered: Tuesday, June 1 2004 07:00 |

I noticed that SW releases game for Mac first. Thats ok I guess, but how long will it take for the Windows version to come out after the Mac version? A couple months? I really like the screenshots for G3 and can't wait to play it. Jeff's games make this 35 y/o feel like I am 15 again. *dreams about the good ol' days of Infocom games, SSI games, Bard's Tale and Ultima 4 & 5, etc, etc* -------------------- Don't eat dirt, its nasty. That is scary. I actually read that without thinking about it. I was into the third or fourth line before I realized that the letters were off. -------------------- Don't eat dirt, its nasty. Posts: 17 | Registered: Tuesday, June 1 2004 07:00 |

@Wafful Guy: I agree, but sometimes, beggers can't be choosey. :) Jeff's scenarios are the best by far if you ask me, although I really appriciate the user made mods. It gives me something to do while I wait for Geneforge 3. -------------------- Don't eat dirt, its nasty. Posts: 17 | Registered: Tuesday, June 1 2004 07:00 |

I really like BoA due to the continuing adventures and the user mods. It is the culmination of the series if you ask me. -------------------- Don't eat dirt, its nasty. Posts: 17 | Registered: Tuesday, June 1 2004 07:00 |

Find some who will train you or teach you spells. This game does not give you new spells for free when you advance a level. I think that sometimes you can learn spells from books on pedestals or get a free spell when you complete certain quest (I think). -------------------- Don't eat dirt, its nasty. I asked someone at Spiderweb software the same thing and they told me to send an e-mail and they would allow me to transfer the registration to a new PC. They will do this as long as you have already registered the game. Just do not do it more than once or twice or it may seem like you are pirating their software. Not that you would. I am just pointing this out. Enjoy the game! -------------------- Don't eat dirt, its nasty. Posts: 17 | Registered: Tuesday, June 1 2004 07:00 |

I have a decent level party but I cannot find any spell trainers other than Sweet Grove and the Priest in a town surrounded by swamp (Mar... something??). Are there only four towns in the game? I am guessing since VoDT is for a low level party, this may be a limiting factor so the game does not become unbalanced. -------------------- Don't eat dirt, its nasty. I was thinking the same think in the beginning, but my character had been carrying the item for a while and he was well within the weight limitations. (i.e. 67 of 210 lbs). -------------------- Don't eat dirt, its nasty. Posts: 17 | Registered: Tuesday, June 1 2004 07:00 |

Can any character wear any item? My mage tried to put on a pair of bracers and the game would not let me, but I could place them on my priest, fighter, and archer. This does not seem right since your character could start out a pure priest and finish the game as a fighter, thief or whatever you wanted. Also, my mage had nothing in the slot to be occupied by the bracers. -------------------- Don't eat dirt, its nasty. Posts: 17 | Registered: Tuesday, June 1 2004 07:00 |

How does one enter the wooded area n/e of MArralis? It looks like a campfire, but I can't seem to get to it since it is surrounded by trees on all sides. Is this due to a low Nature Lore skill or something? This wooded area is near the Goblin warming sighns. -------------------- Don't eat dirt, its nasty.
