I would argue that there are as many benefits to being less social as there are to being more, particularly in many areas of personal growth and understanding oneself better. Personally, I don't think one can be claimed to be better than the other. While an extro-pill would have it's uses, I suspect that in the vast majority of cases it would be used as an easy way out for people who are avoiding the time and effort of better developing their social skills in non-chemical ways. While it would, of course, be a personal choice, it strikes me as somewhere between laziness and cheating oneself. And let us not forget the vast number of introverts that would immediately start receiving overwhelming social pressures from our highly extroverted culture to make the extro-pill a part of their complete breakfast. Not to mention the less social children with highly social parents that would start stuffing them pills the second they are old enough to not be killed by it. -------------------- Take the Personality Test! quote:His percentages were pulled out of thin air. It's not really the sort of thing you could easily or accurately gather statistics on, and I personally would place the percentage of so-called "jack-mormons" as significantly lower. Other than that, it is not so much that he is wrong as that, for no apparent reason, he decided to vent his personal dislike by making wild generalizations and exaggerating extreme cases about Mormon culture in a very negative way that dramatically misrepresents the actual doctrine and teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. -------------------- Take the Personality Test! Yes, we should talk sometime. Dang time zones! Well, Mr. Slarticus, sir, how about this: If you find 2 minutes here and there to occasionally post, why not go through the matches one at a time? You can think about who is going to win match one while you are driving to work to work or something. Then, the next time you have 5 seconds to come here, just tell us about that match. A day or two later, when you next have time, you could give us match two, and so on and so forth. -------------------- Take the Personality Test! Deep down, you wish you were a stick figure. Is it just me, or has spidweb gone all wonky and giving errors to everyone? First it gave me 500 internal service errors instead of loading the boards home page, then some of the threads refused to appear, now I'm getting internal service errors again. Is this just my computer? -------------------- Take the Personality Test! Deep down, you wish you were a stick figure. Posts: 1629 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

Out of curiosity, Iffy, why did you choose that quote for your signature? It seems like you chose a totally mundane sentence at random just for the sake of having a quote. -------------------- Take the Personality Test! Deep down, you wish you were a stick figure. Overall, I rate our match as a toss-up. That's why I want to see what Slarty has to say. The forum may die, but the Cult will live on in our hearts and spleens and implants. And, of course, in the archives and in the lower intestines of rage polar bears everywhere. Well, then I suppose the battle between Riibu and I would come down to whether she can sneak up and Chaos Attack me from behind hard enough to kill me before my stick figure hordes/batch of snow flakes/globs of strawberry syrup/etc. reveal her location. After that, I'm betting my katamari could roll up anything she could spit out and my stick figure minions roll it right back on over the top of her. Sorry Riibu! Nothing personal. :) Also, when are we getting the final results? [/Harassment] -------------------- Take the Personality Test! Deep down, you wish you were a stick figure. You thought Slarty was female? EDIT: Also, to Slarty or anyone else who might know, is Riibu's Chaos Attack something specific, perhaps from some game, or just some sort of releasing the raw force of chaos made material in my general direction? quote:I don't know about Europe, but here in the U.S. most banks and credit unions will give you a check card to go with your checking account. It functions as both debit and credit card, but when used as a credit card it still just deducts the amount from your checking. If you have a bank account, you could check and see if your bank offers this. [ Thursday, May 10, 2007 10:41: Message edited by: Archmage Alex ] -------------------- Take the Personality Test! EDIT: Dang quote instead of edit button. But to lend this post some semblance of usefulness, a katamari vs. a Chaos Attack would probably be interesting to see. 1. As has been said, Ephesos simply has more firepower than Lazarus can withstand. 2. Infernal has Demonslayer. Alec has a scimitar and abominable photo threads. Infernal has insults. Alec has insults and innuendo and engagingness. Alec also has much more experience. 3. A couple of pencils vs. Diki? I don't think so. 4. Thuryl may not fly, but the genius sex icon from Australia will easily abduct Thralni's pasta. 5. DV dazes. Synergy disorients in return with new age buzzwords, then keeps DV on the defensive with painful oratory until he gets in enough hits with the submission baton to put the battle in his favor. (P.S. Pepe is somehow so very much Synergy) 6. Somehow Tyranicus seems like he'd win, but I'm not exactly sure how. 7. 8. Schro gets huggled. Saunders moves on.
