Oh yeah, something that is useless to macs is going to go over big time with such a large number of mac users. Thanks, but no thanks, I'll stick with nice people, real community people, with manners -- even if I played this on my PC. Not impressed. Posts: 30 | Registered: Tuesday, September 2 2003 07:00 |

I don't mind if it is a similar story -- I do mind that it has been narrowed down. Posts: 30 | Registered: Tuesday, September 2 2003 07:00 |

I'm very disappointed as well that you didn't have more choices. I didn't have the outlet for being emotionally involved with the characters. Either way, you were screwing creations over. Posts: 30 | Registered: Tuesday, September 2 2003 07:00 |

I had the same problem, the only way to clear it up was make my way to Gull Island, and then going back it worked. There is a link here to maps that you can print out -- I used those to get around until I finished Dhonal's Island. Posts: 30 | Registered: Tuesday, September 2 2003 07:00 |

Meaning if I had been to the west gate, and went back, it was a bad map. If I went and wandered to the west docks for the first time, still a bad map. I made it to gull island, and that map is ok, havent tried going back to dhonal's to see if that fixes it. Posts: 30 | Registered: Tuesday, September 2 2003 07:00 |

I am on Dhonal's ISland but between screens/levels/areas the map is for two earlier island (Harmony and the one it is paired with?). Doesnt matter how many times I go from one to the other, if I leave normally or if I try exitzone, if it was an area I've cleared or a new one. The map between areas is wrong. Any ideas? No, I'm all over the map, the levels are on Dhonal's Isle -- but the map when I go between levels/screens are the wrong map. So I can't quite tell if I am going in the right direction (unless I print that map made in the other thread). I am not ON the first island, I'm still on, is it the third? Right island, but the map doesn't match it. Posts: 30 | Registered: Tuesday, September 2 2003 07:00 |

I just sorted the General out, went back to Dhonal's Keep, left from the west, and the map I am given is of the two islands in the beginning. I still wind up at the west gate when I travel, but I am not on the right island for the map! I've gone back to the autosave and the save before that, and I'm still getting the wrong map. Like I mentioned, the reason I was using the code is this game had me stuck so many times, I kept getting stuck after days just getting through the third island and kept getting stuck there WITHOUT CHEATING. Having to start from square one doing the same mundane things over and over was really frustrating, and I just wanted to zip through the first two islands and then go through the third (and hopefully the later ones) at a normal pace. Dbug kill to get through some of the earlier islands means missing out on some conversations that may be useful. Using a script means I get to have most conversations (Except in this case where I have that freaky script). So I feel that since I already at least attempted to play legitimately quite a number of times, for a number of hours, cheating isn't so bad. So tell me don't cheat all you want, if I had all the time of the world, no job, and no kids, I would probably try over and over again until I figured it out, too. I guess I'm just a cheating loser. Bad bad Kibbles. *cries* Posts: 30 | Registered: Tuesday, September 2 2003 07:00 |

Thanks for all your help -- I need to think now, one of the slots I have may be a game before I got the script, if not, I guess it's time to start all over again. At least I know what items to keep an eye out for when it comes to some of the quests! :) Posts: 30 | Registered: Tuesday, September 2 2003 07:00 |

Thanks -- I saw that mentioned in the thread, once you said summoning orb, I checked the game, checked the forum, and saw that it was put in, and no mention was made of which item it was. Now, one more question (I hope!) when I replace this , will I have to start a new characteR? Or go back to the training grounds and read everything again? I can't imagine, with my limited computer knowledge, that just replacing the file again would fix it with my current character... This game seems to give less leeway than the other ones, even before I started screwing around with this -- perhaps because there are only 2 sides? I'm just getting a totally different feel from it. You're a genius, I'm an idiot, I had been screwing up so many times I figured to just get to Dhonal's I would use that and then play the rest of the way through, and yes I have that orb. I. am. going. to. scream. I have started and restarted this game so many times, I am so frustrated, I am not a gamer (does it show) and this is the first time I've just gone nuts doing things, serves me right. I should know better than to just take someone's edits at face value. Posts: 30 | Registered: Tuesday, September 2 2003 07:00 |

Thing is, I went to Rhaul and as soon as he saw me, he threw me in jail...might be because I picked up the rebel canister and he can tell? (I still have it on me, never went back to the rebels because I didnt know which way I wanted to go with that...) Posts: 30 | Registered: Tuesday, September 2 2003 07:00 |

I'm a rebel, and I keep getting stuck. I can't get the general figured out, and I started from square one once or twice and figured I'd downplay the rebel stuff, in fact at one point I got a note about how I wasnt as loyal to the rebels as I should be, etc. but I went to see the Lord and got thrown in jail! I sighed and saved and closed the game, I can't see how, as a rebel, I can repair anything (even get in) or get off the island. This is the first time I've ever thought that I had to buy the hintbook. I'd be more inclined to do so if it was in a PDF and I could have immediate gratification... Well of course I opened a paypal account, how else could I pay by paypal? My online bank statement shows the money went out of my account on Friday (shows up in paypal, too). I am not even sure if I GET a statement in the mail, anymore. If I do get a bank statement, I'll get it in about 2 weeks. Posts: 30 | Registered: Tuesday, September 2 2003 07:00 |

Since Citibank stinks, I had no other quick (or so I thought) way to order Geneforge 2, but by Paypal. How long does it take to get a registration code if you order by Paypal? The money is already out of my account -- but I have never ordered by Paypal, before. I ordered last Thursday, and yes, I understand it was a holiday weekend, but I would like to know how long it takes. There are estimated times on all the other methods of payment on the website BUT Paypal. Thanks! Posts: 30 | Registered: Tuesday, September 2 2003 07:00 |
