OOC: What??? I posted here a day ago and my post isn't here. People right now this RP is stuck in a plot hole, the only way to bring it back is by posting. There is a big battle very very very very (continued)soon. We just need to get the story rolling.

IC: *I dont feel like posting it again, yet. Way too busy*

I haven't seen the third one yet, but I want to.
I liked the first Matrix movie. Alot of action, climaxes, cliff hangers. It had everything a movie should have.
The Matrix Reloaded, was complete ****. My broad analysis of the movie has broken its plot down into easy to bite pieces. Action, Sex, More action, more sex, action, Math, action, corny love sequence. I doubt I could stand to watch it again.
Want to see the third one...
Has anyone here met one of those people who understand the movies, and seem to think they know what the movies really meant? They really need to get a life, the plots were very simple, and I was never "blown away." They like to judge their I.Q. by understanding a movie, how sad.

"Blue Collar Man (Long Nights)" by Styx. I love those 70-80s bands. Though 60s music isn't so bad either. They all beat rap and that new age **** that people (and groups) like N*Sync sing.

Graphics or a good story? in General

Let us take a second to look over the Resident Evil games. Awesome graphics, the best I have ever seen. Unfortunatly the game severly lacks gameplay because you are not able to change the camera angle around. So, almost always, a zombie will attack you from your blind spot and you will have to shoot your few bullets in random directions, hoping to hit the zombie, wasting ever single precious piece of ammo you hold. The plots of those games were complete and utter ****.
But then you can't have games focus completely on plot either. They become so attached to the storyline, that you have no free movement of your own, making the game suck.
I would rather have gameplay than great graphics, or a great plot. Soul Calibur II is a perfect example. Decent graphics, no plot whatsoever (Seriously, the plot was worse than Mortal Kombat's), but it is fun because the gameplay is soooooo freaking awesome. Then you have games like Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Calibur (If you have an N64, then you must rent or buy this game, if you can find it) with crapy graphics (For the system) and alot of story and I mean alot. But it doesn't get involved so much that you cant choose your own direction. The gameplay rocks.
For the original question, if I had to choose one it would be... plot. Only because with great graphics and no plot the game has no meaning whatsoever (Except for Soul Calibur 2). Atleast the plot will keep you going for more story.

That was quite amusing

You didn't rhyme though, so'n Hell you'll fry.
Lastly you pride yourseld with the word Grammar,
The honor ends though, with a swift blow by a hammer.
Those didn't quite rhyme though, I could mention the *cough*few*cough* other times, but the list would grow a bit... long. Unless of course I am getting the wrong definition of rhyme but aren't they supposed to be more like, Ball, Fall, Call, Wall, Paul, Tall, Mall, y'all.

Dern strokes his chin, in thought. "So the crystals really hold spirits, not energy. Very interesting..."

Thompson: "So we should take this crysta-" *Hmph* "spirit to their clan base and awaken it again?"

3rd, the being hostile statements were to get people's attention, however, some of you are in fact extremely stupid and should consider removing yourself the genepool.
If you really have to get peoples' attention by hostile statements, that usually confirms that you have nothing important to say. If your opinions are worthwhile, then you wouldn't need to shout, rant, and lie. If you repeat yourself too many times, nobody takes you seriously. If you have to restate what you said over, and over, and over, then it means nobody cares and you should drop it. Although Drakefyre is interested in what you have to say, I am not if you have to make your point by yelling. I apologize for what I said, but you never lie or yell at people you are trying to convince. Hammurabi's law pertains true to the world and how every species thinks, "An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth." When you insult someone they will insult you back, with an even more devistating remark. So insulting people will get you nowhere. Especially if you insult over 3000 people IMAGE(Spiderweb Software Boards The Point of it all__1_files/rolleyes.gif) .

You are the only one who seems to think that these Boards are in the crap hole. Therefore, since you are singled out from about 3000 people, I proclaim you insane and I would ask that you would get help with your problem soon, before you no longer hold any control over you body and do something crazy like rape all the monkies in a zoo.

You sir, are a freaking retard. When the old boards were changed and misc. was taken away things got bad, then they got better. But you don't seem to see that the boards today are just the same as they were a few months after they came out the first time. Stop your *****ing and leave because nobody cares about your pathetic little opinions. Now get a life, people have better things to do than listen to your whining.

EDIT: I wish these boards weren't censored...

I find TGCs annoying and pointless, especially Pokemon which is why I voted for it. I like TGFs (or whatever you call them) where instead of cards there are figures. I love to play Mageknight and Mechwarrior and if it wasn't for my bad luck, I would still be collecting them.

Ruined RPs in General

Although I love to RP, these RPs have something that makes them different from real RPs. It could be that the RPs in this forum are alot like chapters in a book where the author keeps contradicting himself. It seems everyone always has a different view of the story, and then writes it in their own way, creating a chaotic RP. The real good RPs are "Pen and Papers" (Internet chatrooms work too.) There is a DUNGEON MASTER who has his own story and creates obsticles for all the adventurers, instead of no Dungeon Masters and every character is their own master. Deciding what your character will do, without a dice roll, is fun but can get tiring after many people write things like,
*A fire breathing dragon of doom jumps at the warriors out of no where. Bill, a veteran warrior, sighs at the stupidity of the Fire Breathing Dragon of Doom and slices its head off with his Giant Axe of Flaying The Flesh off of Bones, then he chuckles.*
What is excedingly annoying is when the a "player" sets an obsticle in their path, that is not meant to be crossed, and they do everything in their power to keep it from being crossed. Then another player does something like,
*Bill, a veteran warrior, laughs at the giant block of diamond blocking their path. He slashes at it with his giant axe of flaying the flesh off of bones and it cuts through. The diamond then grows back. Bill sighs then yells out, SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS, and starts to glow green, then the diamond explodes. Laughing Bill continues on.*
These are some problems that annoy people, ESPECIALLY ME. I would ask that in the future, there would be a designated Dungeon Master for each RP and he would control the obsticles, and fix godly characters.
*After Bill, the Veteran Warrior, does these seemingly impossible tasks, a Wyvern comes out of nowhere and eats him, then flys off.*
That would be a privilege of the Dungeon Master.

I wonder how many people actually read this post? IMAGE(Spiderweb Software Boards Ruined RPs_files/tongue.gif)

OOC: Badguys.

IC:
Ignus: "General Bonescratch, are the troops ready for departure?"
*General Bonescratch had a reputation among the Greywraiths. Before the magical properties of the crystals were harnessed General Bonescratch was a fearsome foe that none would want to face, he has won every battle he has been in. His name comes from a gruesome story of how he killed another clans greatest warrior with a severed bone. His hand had been cut off in the battle by the warrior, and even more muscle and flesh. The warrior let his guard down because the General was defensless and was disarmed, his arm was also severed. Using his bone, the general slashed the man across the chest knocking him over, then he grabbed his weapon and slew him. General Bonescratch now has a hook for his hand, made of bone in rememberance of this story.*
Bonescratch: "Yes sir, my finest troops are ready to kill the final clan. Just give your order and we will go."
Ignus: "Go, and hurry before they can devise a plan, or learn how to use the crystals."
Bonescratch: "At once, but why are you so worried, I doubt those moon clan fools could ever learn how to use those crystals, in this short amount of time."
Ignus: "They have hired skilled mercinaries from far off places. Who knows if one of the surviving ones has knowledge about the crystals and their energies. What if one of them was a Warlock, they would be able to transmute the energies like I did."
Bonescratch: "Do not worry, even if they are skilled my troops are better. We will crush them."
Ignus: "I believe you, but something in the back of my head is begging me to make you stay."
Bonescratch: "Ignus, are you alright?"
Ignus: "Yes I'm fine. Go, that voice is never accurate anyway."
Bonescratch: "At once."
*Bonescratch and his troops leave the Greywraith encampment just as the Moon clan warriors polish off their plan.*

OOC: Very sorry, please excuse me. The new Diablo 2 patch just came out (about time) and I was playing it for 2 days straight. I dont have to choose how big the crystals are but if you want me to...

IC:
Dern: "How big are the crystals? Well that depends, there are big ones and small ones. The bigger ones hold more power but are too big to carry. The smaller ones dont have as much power but still contain alot of it. The smallest ones we have found are about the size of a mace head."

OOC: Sorry again, now we can continue.

*Thompson notches an arrow to his bow.*
Thompson: "Hold on their Zir..."
*He aims the arrow at Dern's head.*
Thompson: "Tell me Dern, how do we know that you are not the traitor. Alot of the evidence points to you. Experienced warriors mean good rare weapons. This continent probably doesn't get much trade with all the wars... way too dangerous for the merchants. You had a lot to gain by tricking warriors to come here, besides helping your people. Now tell me your true intentions *****!"
Dern: "I cannot prove to you that I am not the traitor. I can only trust that you would believe me. Weapons and power no longer have any meaning to me. I would just want my people to live in peace. The Greywraiths threaten our lives and so they must be stopped. I will not force you to follow through on the plan, but I warn you, if you stay here you will stand less of a chance than you will out there."
*Thompson lowers the arrow and Dern lets out a sigh of relief.*
Thompson: "What should we do then...?"
Dern: "The Greywraith troops have had a day to travel and so they are probably back at their base by now. You should be able to get there in two days. Start now and you will pass them about half way. If we retreat to the guest rooms, we might be able to hold them off for a few days. Use that time to destroy their main base, then head back here to help us finish them off. Like a hammer and anvil, they are the iron."

OOC: Wow even the creator of this RP is confused... I have my own special twist planned for later. Unfortunatly if this weirdness keeps continuing it might be ruined. But this is your RP too, so continue if you want.

Dern: "Robbed? Impossible. Our rooms for our guests are impervious. Not even the Greywraiths could enter-"

Shern: "But those doors were unlocked when we left... Dern?"

Dern: "I had it ordered that those doors be locked tight so the Greywraiths couldn't steal any of those weapons. One of my men is a traitor, he must have unlocked those doors. We must find out who and quick. Apparently he had posession of one of the Room keys... I will call my officials here. They are the only other ones, besides me, with those keys."

*He orders some of his guards to bring all of his officials to the Mess Hall.*

Dern: "There is no time to waste though, your group needs to get going, before it is too late. *He runs and gets a map. Then hands it to Aran. Here is a map of the island, I have circled where we and the Greywraith clan are. If you need any of the crystals to experiment with, help yourself. Our mine is just outside and to the left."

Dern: "The plan... yes, well. The man who leads the Greywraith clan is called Ignus Bonaparte. He is very impatient. I have no doubt that he will reltaliate with a much larger force after this defeat. First I need you all in groups. The groups you came with get together."

*The men and women get in their groups. There are only three, your group, and two smaller ones.*

Dern: "Yes now the larger of the groups; I need you to hide a few miles west from here. In a day or so start traveling to the Graywraith's main fortress. I will get you a map. Atleast half of Ignus's troups will be missing, so you will have an easier time sieging the fortress. They will be caught by surprise, so you will be able to slay most of them in small groups. Ignus will be the most challanging fight. He is a very skilled Warlock, and so no doubt he has successfully transmuted the powers of the crystals without any side-effects. Once you kill him, find their archives and destroy every book you find. There must be no trace of their experiments. The rest of us will hold back the troops here, though I dont know how long we will last, so you better hurry. Any questions?"
*A few of the warriors give each other sceptical glances. Then Thompson speaks up.*
Thompson: "Do you really expect this to work? This plan is a disaster, and we will all end up dead. You obviously didn't put enough thought into it."
Dern: "I've been side-tracked recently. All these deaths and no hope have really taken a toll on my mind. If you have any better ideas please state them now."
Thompson: "Don't you think we should look into these crystals and staves. I'm sure we can find some magic to protect ourselves from those flames."
*Raitt speaks up*
Raitt: "I was examining this staff and it isn't exactly like an Ex Feres."
Dern: "What do you mean?"
Raitt: "If you look closely enough, you can see that it is an ordinary oak staff. But why is it so much like an Ex Feres?"
*Everyone is listens intently.*
Raitt: "This oak staff has been imbued with the powers of those crystals. The result has been this Ex Feres like staff. If we could find away to use the crystals own magic against it, as lets say a shield, then the staves wouldn't hurt us..."
Dern: "Explain you knowledge further, and please let us know how we can use the crystals power like that."
