Graagh. I really need to keep better track of my items. Not only have I apparently disposed of every set of shaped gauntlets so far (and I can't get them in Camp Gamma), I've somehow managed to mislay my Blood Poison. I really hope I didn't mistake it for a runed ruby and sell it. [ Tuesday, April 03, 2007 06:27: Message edited by: Fade ] Posts: 22 | Registered: Tuesday, March 4 2003 08:00 |

I wasn't trying to make an artifact, just get some nice armor to wear (and enhance with the orb of mist). Posts: 22 | Registered: Tuesday, March 4 2003 08:00 |

They're probably rebels. All concerned with the 'rights' of their creations and not sending them to be killed in purposeless battle. Posts: 22 | Registered: Tuesday, March 4 2003 08:00 |

A book I read in the Purity Vats strongly suggested that Mandrake Tincture and Demon Bile could be used to Perfect Shaped items. So I took the Shaped Breastplate I got from Alwan, some tincture and some bile to the mines. Tincture + bile + breastplate did nothing. Tincture + bile produced purifying elixir, but elixir + breastplate did nothing. What am I doing wrong here? Posts: 22 | Registered: Tuesday, March 4 2003 08:00 |
Battle skills for an infiltrator - why? in Geneforge 4: Rebellion | |

I'm playing an [strike]agent[/strike] infiltrator and vaporising everything with powerful battle magic. I have battle skills as my secondary, but why would I want to learn to use a sword/baton when I've already invested a bunch of points in killing things with Ice Spray and Essence Orbs? It seems to be redundant. Posts: 22 | Registered: Tuesday, March 4 2003 08:00 |

How does elemental resistance work? Fire Resistance 50% obviously doesn't mean I resist 50% of any fire damage inflicted on me, since I have 108% and I'm still taking damage. So is that 50% of the resistance it's possible to have? Something more complicated? Posts: 22 | Registered: Tuesday, March 4 2003 08:00 |

Is there an 'official' way to decide to do something about Maynard, or do you just force-attack him? (I already dealt with Vahkohs) I've contacted the rebels, but they have surprisingly little to do for a team capable of knocking the city over by themselves. Ok, I killed Morog and stole the scroll. I'm now stuck in the Treacherous Maze part of her castle - when I try and leave the portcullis closes in front of me (I got in by having someone already standing on the rune when I used the wheel). How do I get out? Posts: 22 | Registered: Tuesday, March 4 2003 08:00 |

My mage can turn the tide of a battle by hasting herself and throwing two Lightning Sprays per turn. Can weed out the riff-raff very quickly. The fighters (blessed by the Priest) are the only ones who can take out bosses though. Posts: 22 | Registered: Tuesday, March 4 2003 08:00 |

Search the slime pits for a silver key (on the body of a mage), then open a locked door near where you opened the portcullises, and take a bomb from the closet. Posts: 22 | Registered: Tuesday, March 4 2003 08:00 |

Near straight-south in the bottom level (experiment halls) there's a door that can only be opened with a brass key (cannot be picked). Beyond that theres some caverns, just follow them the only way you can go. Posts: 22 | Registered: Tuesday, March 4 2003 08:00 |

Nevermind found it. Those doors can be very low contrast when on northern walls. Posts: 22 | Registered: Tuesday, March 4 2003 08:00 |

I'm stuck in Valley of Dying Things. Reading the posts here, everyone says 'talk to the Vahnatai'. But I've searched the experiment halls, lecture halls and the accessible part of the library very closely, and there are definitely no Vahnatai. Where can I find them?
