Go for it. I've done business with Spiderweb many times. I've always gotten what I ordered when I expected it to arrive. You've got nothing to worry about with Spiderweb.

Why in the hell are some of these people on the list? And you mispelled some of them. This poll is very stupid. Please go kill yourself now. Or at the very least remove your ability to reproduce.

But we shouldn't have to keep developing information storage until we reach the max possible storage space for something made on earth.

And what do we do when the files are too large and we don't have enough storage space and ability to transfer information.

It's stupid to develop only half of the equation. Once we reach the peak file transfer rate, processor speed, and storage space; we'll have no choice be to figure out how to shrink down the file sizes.

What we need to do is start doing that now, before we absolutely have to.

But Kirk would just use his godlike aura(which failed him only once, and that was just cause he was old) and crush anyone, then have a romantic meeting with some unrealisticly beautiful woman who is one some obscure primative planet.

See, if people would just give us memos on the important stuff we wouldn't have this problem.

Um, first off. Technically, they aren't mine. Second, they are old compared to the forums that I did start.

Okay. First off, it's spelled "armor". Second, perhaps you're doing it wrong. I really don't know, since I never play Nethergate.

That's right. The Abyss is open again with a new administrator. http://invisionfree.com/forums/Abyss

Btw, because of this, Dark Fire Forums will probably end up closing.

I'd jion the forums, but the personality and mental resources of the entity known as Lone Flame are spread too thin already.

Anyone who watches the series knows that Kirk would win that fight any day. Cause unlike Picard, Kirk actually gets into a phsycial fight in almost every single episode. Not to mention Kirk seems to almost never miss a shot.

OOC: Okay, I'll file the complaint about my posting style under "You really should have complained along time ago cause now I can't post in paragraph form because I'm now too inept at it"

IC:
Having failed to get the council to take this upcoming attack seriously Alex and the others head to the bar to think of a plan for what to do when the attack comes. Noticing papers and stuff on one of the tables, Dralnok walks to Alex's table. Due to being to absorbed in the planning and discussion, no one notices Dralnok."...If we could just figure out where the attack is coming from..." said 1 of the people. "It'll probably come from the east or northeast, since there's kind of a river in the west and north and a sea to the south" one of them said. "But they could come by boat, leaving all fronts open. Besides, it's possible for them to cross the river unnoticed in some areas." Dralnok said. Everyone looks at Dralnok. "Who are you, and what are you doing looking at our plans?" said Alex. "I'm just a traveling mage. I came here with a paladin friend of to see the sights. And I couldn't help but notice that you were planning something. So I came over to see what it was", Dralnok responded.

OOC: I'll let that group decide about what to do about Dralnok and planning for the attack.

The Questions game... in General

Okay, with this being the last round of the questions game, I think we might as well finish this and go out with something that kind of resembles a bang. 4 slots(questions) left. And I don't care who takes them(actually, I never really cared who took them as long as they got answered). So, in cases such as this, we will probably end up doubling up the questions for some.

But enough with the never ending redunt junk. Let's get this over with.

Hmmm. What would TGO say... Oh yeah. Something along the lines of "NEVER!" I've been posting in RPs like this for many months now, and you're just now begining to complain. Well, you lost the chance to, so neh.

Now stop complaining about me posting in a style that is perfectly readable, lest ye forcith me to cause thou to feelith ye holy fiesty slap of pain. Anyway, time for me to get to Sefil before the attack happens.

IC:
*After a few hours of walking, Sir David and Dralnok arrive at Sefil.

SirDavid: So, now what?
Dralnok: I don't know. Well, we could either look around in hopes of finding something, or just walk around in a normal way and wait for something to happen?
SirDavid: Don't most important quest type things start in bars/inns?
Dralnok: Hmmm. Good point. Onward to the bar.

Let's see here... MIDIs aren't that bad. 16-bit will work. Well, let's see here, the isn't a SNES rom that's anywhere near 10 megs(I don't think I've even seen them come near 5 megs). That alone should say something. As for getting better... That's not always the case. Take Avernum for example. It's filesize is 2 to 3 times(I'm not sure which, probably 3 though) larger than Exile's filesize and it's not much of an improvement(if any at all). Did it really take twice the hard drive space to make a game with a few more things?

It is within the abilities to reduce the number of space a file takes up, without degrading the file. I think we should stop settling for better quality at the cost of size, and instead work towards small size and high quality.

I don't have much faith in the abilities of the human race, but if we can shrink down electronics, then surely we can shrink down file sizes to a more reasonable size.

Dralnok: Simple. I was headed down to Sefil.
Sir David: Why were you headed there?
Dralnok: Just a feeling I had. As if something important is going to happen soon or is happening.
Sir David: Sounds interesting, mind if I tag along?
Dralnok: Of course not. In my experience, one such as yourself could be helpful.
Sir David: Yeah especially in those situations when you're lying at a bottom of a cliff bleeding to death.
Dralnok: Yep. Well. We've wasted too much time talking. Let's get going.

The same problem applies to hard drive space. Pictures seem to take up more space. Audio files aren't getting any smaller. Games are only getting larger. As the files get larger and more processor power hungery, hard drives get larger and processors get more powerful. Meanwhile perfectly fine computers are forced into obselessance.

It's one of the sadder things about this new technoligical ages. It's a pity something can't be done about it.

OOC: I hope this paladin is going to be a character. And hopefully I'll learn his name. Til then, this will have to do...

IC:
Dralnok: So, what is your name?

*The Paladin just eyes him suspiciously.

Dralnok: Okay. Well, try to be more careful. This land seems to be pretty dangerous. Good bye and Good luck.

*Dralnok continues towards Sefil(which he's not too far from).

Well, I got bored and just thought this editorial type thingy up.

As if we all haven't noticed, dial up, the traditional way to get on the internet, has outlived it's usefulness and thus has begun to die out. With high speed connections, such as cable and DSL connections, becoming less expensive, dial up is gradually becoming unable to compete. In addition combating the reasonably costing alternatives, dial up has to deal with yet another problem: the fact that it's speed seems to have decreased as a result of the vast amounts of people using it, which results in a massive drain on server power and bandwidth for Dial Up companies. With the ever increasing speed gap between dial up and high speed internet, it is impossible for dial up to continue existing for more than a few more years.

Well, there probably will be. Either way this will probably be the last of The Questions game... since it seems to be a little bit on the dying side. Or at least it will be the last of the question games that I'll be the adminster of. If someone else wants to take over, they're welcomed to it.

OOC: You can't get me to believe that on a massive continent there aren't many forests. Instead, the light green is plains and light trees. Ah, must hurry before it's tommorow...

IC:
*The slain men arise from the ground.

Dralnok: You've got to be kidding me. Oh well. This shouldn't take too long.

*Dralnok and the paladin re-slay the redrobed guy and proceed to hack them to tiny pieces.

OOC: Like every mage in existance, Dralnok has a dagger.
IC:

Dralnok: So, what's you name?

OOC: I don't know where the paladin is, but I think I'll save him anyway.

IC:
*Dralnok continues to walk towards Sefil. Suddenly he notices some strange men in red robes and what seemed to be a cage. Dralnok walks to see what the strange redrobed men are doing, when he notices that there's a human in the cage.

Dralnok: What the... Hey, what are you people doing?

Robedman: None of you concern. Leave us now, or die.

Dralnok: Well, in that case...

*Dralnok pulls out his zats and starts shooting at robed people. Unfortunately, the zats have no effect on the robed men. Thinking quickly Dralnok grabs his staff and fires several blasts into the robed dudes. After killing 3 of them with staff fire, Dralnok summons several monsters to distract the men, while he destroys the lock on the cage, freeing the paladin.

Dralnok: Um, sorry about that. I'm used to the hostile type of undead.
Oldman: Well, you shouldn't be so quick to blast everything!
Dralnok: Whatever. (man, this place sucks)

*Dralnok leaves the graveyard and heads back to the inn.

Dralnok: Barkeep, beer please.

*The bartender give Dralnok a beer, which he begins to sip.

Dralnok: (There's got to be something that's going on that I'm supposed to stop.)
Someperson: I tell you Jenkins, there be gold in them woods...
Dralnok: (well, I'm not going to solve anything this way)

*Dralnok finishes his beer and leaves the inn and wonders around town for a bit.

Dralnok: (I really need to learn the spell for flying)

*Suddenly a giant eagle with people on it passes by over head.

Dralnok: What the hell? Hmmmm. That thing's heading southwest...

*Dralnok checks his recently purchased map...

Dralnok: (So, it's either going to Sefil or Karn. Probably Sefil. Anyway, I might as well check it out.)

*Dralnok heads for Sefil
