Urge to destroy world rising...

Come on now, what good is it to post links to other sites if almost no one goes to them. No one wants to leave spiderweb and go to a new place. If anywhere, they'll go to a place they know(which was probably started by a handful of people who closely associate with each other). Therefor, quit wasting our time. If my forums site and the abyss don't get much anyone here to jion, than your little fantasy land can jion the darkfire forums in the depths of forum hell.

That test of intellegance was pretty messed up. If any of us actually went into that thing, we'd never come out.

Who knows?

What I want to know is what in the hell the Chili Peppers were smoking when they wrote that song.

Dos was actually bought from some dude Bill knew. Then later, Bill ripped off Apple, who had just gotten done with ripping off Xerox. It's all covered in that song "Every OS sucks" by Three Dead Trolls in a Baggie.

Um, let's see here... One of the more obvious, but for some reason it hasn't already been mentioned, problems is a one about privacy itself. Do you honestly want gov controled cams in your home? In your bathroom while you're taking a shower? I didn't think so.

What makes profanity less valuable than non-profanity?

Profanity can sometimes add a little flavor to what would normally be bland. That and it adds realism, since who actually says things like "How the freak should I know" and "Answer the flippin question"? Also, it's already been proven that there's no way the government can regulate morality without taking away our freedoms...

Controlling the language used by the people is just another way for the government to control the people themselves. So, already they've started to take away our rights and freedoms to try to control us. I don't know about you, but I personally don't want to be a mindless sheep.

To the sheep: Hey while we're throwing away our freedom of speach, let's let the governement put video cams in our homes and software on our comps that monitor every single thing we do.

Exactly. Besides, I to find people who use profanity for every other word they say to a bit idiotic anyway(and most of them turn out to not be worth my time anyway).

Further Spiderweb declines. Sad this makes me. To think that we can't even have meaningless topics anymore. Uh, anyway. Cheesy Popcorn's good, but I also like buttery and sweet popcorn. That's why I get the mixed sets sometimes. You'd be amazed at how long cooked popcorn can last in a tin container.

Apples are still powerful. And iPods are expesive, cause they're basically a really really smal and simplistic computer hooked up to a batery and a harddrive.

Anywayz. The iMacs would have been alright, if Steve had not taken away the floppy drive before they were able to put CD-RWs in the things, made upgrading old iMacs impossible, put in non-standard CD-Rom drives and harddrives in them, come up with a way to replace the monitor if it got broken, and some better speakers would have been nice.

Other great Apple mistakes:

1. That time they removed the audio in jacks from all their comps except for the iMac.
2. That time they gave Steve his own jet.
3. Making .Mac cost money.
4. Making an OS that is too Unix-based.
5. Not doing much to support old Apple OSes(just like Microsoft)
6. Not giving me a computer.
7. Not making iTunes 3 for OS9
8. Making OSX as great a resource user to a mac as XP is to a PC.

Um, Walmart destroys towns. Microsoft and Aol are run by people who want to own you. And IBM was just there for the for the sake of having an even number of companies.

quote:
Why is IBM evil now? It's not their fault they're the only sane company offering personal computers.
What does sanity have to do with quality? Apple's insane, but they offer great computers.

I don't know, e-master might be serious. He has his own forums, though they only have a handful of members that do anything, and he, like me, is pissed off about the great decline the Spiderweb boards have been undergoing. This place is getting to be as boring as Desperance was the last time I checked it.

Hell, if it gets any worse, I might actually start updating my site and finishing the BoE scenario I'm never gonna finish. And if it gets really bad, I might even get a job.

I think that topics like this really help someone to know that a whole lotta of people out there hate him. I created a topic like this and found out that at one point and time, about 1/3 of the people here hated me. But as we all know, topics like this only serve to bring flaming down on someone.

The way I see it, the essense of the 1rst amendment is to permit me and others to say whatever the hell we want to. The only exception would be a forum website, such as this one, where it is a family orientated sight that seems to have a lot of people under the age of 18 on it. I personally want to say a few 4 letter words here, but the site rules won't let me. And that's okay for 2 closely related reasons. 1rst freedom of speach technically doesn't included text. And 2nd, this site is international and therefor isn't bound by US law in any way.

But there is one thing that I draw the line on and that's not being aloud use profanity when I'm speaking. I will use the 4 letter words and their oppressed siblings. And there's nothing the criminal FCC can do about

The regulate all sorts of things. such a which tv and radio stations get to broadcast on which frequencies and which words you can and can't say.

I don't have any problem with anything they do except for the controlling of what you can and can't say on TV and radio(although I do find it odd that on the back of my radio is says "This device complies with part 15 of the FCC rules, operation is subjectio to the following 2 conditions: 1, this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device myst accept any interference recieved, including interference that may cause undesired operation")

Before you vote read the first amendment...

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances"

And he'd use a bunch of words that are against the CoC. But that'd be kind of ironic, though. Especially if a mod didn't know who he was and tried to ban him. Though that's just a fictional and unlikely what if, it's still funny to think about.
