Go to hell. Would probably be Jeff's response.

Anywayz, perhaps direct connection multiplayer would be nice, but the long distance fees would be a pain, so we'd be limited to local players.

This is a reference to the ability in SC to play someone via a direct modem connection.

This topics is for the new questions game. The questions are...

1) Who?
2) What did he/she look like?
3) Where they went?
4) Who did they meet?
5) What did they say to ther person they met?
6) What did that person answer?
7) What happened afterwards?
8) What is the story's moral?

And we will begin when my successor appears and says so.

And here it is at last, the last questions game admined by me. But be advised that this doesn't end the games if we can get some other poor sap to do it, cause while I like being important and people actually caring if I post something, I really want to participate in one.

Anywayz...

Hero, the n00b, who looked like Barney who barely survived going through a heavily defended and violent Amazon territory, went to hell. There he meet Riibu, the all-powerful wannabe-writer, who he said "Oh, Riibu, we worship thee!". To which she simply replied "Go away". And behold, for there was terrible thunder, and then the voice of the Lord said unto them, "And there shall be many alcoholic beverages, and free Coca-Cola for all, and lap-dancers aplenty." And they travelled to the gates of Heaven, and drank and made merry, and behold, for it was good.

The moral: Moral: Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there

I said after this one.

Btw, there seems to be a miscounting on my part. From what I gather after actually checking, we need 4 and 5 to be answered. Afterwards, I suggest we abandon this topic and start a new one, since large topic sizes tend to discourage some people from participating.

As well as half the pain. I personally am too paranoid to do the multiplayer, cause there are some people out their who prey on the newbies and kill/rob them. Actually, come to think of it, that sounds like fun. When I get done with my current online project, that's next on my list of things to do.

Um, part of "I'm not whining, I'm showing a friend of mine some support" did some you manage to miss do to stupidity?!?

I'd post some more stuff an include something smart sounding, this post is taking too long to type as it is.

Edit:
On second thought I'd better get my say in before this is closed.

hmmm. 1 in 49 topics being stupid is an unrealistic statement at best. But that's kind of the point, though. My arguement is very simple. If spiderweb turns into just games and politics, then it becomes boring. True there will probably be some RPs, but they'll get tired and die, much like game and political discussions. We need something else to do too.

Spiderweb forums will have a problem if it allows itself to just 3 things. The point of online forums is entertainment. I've got no problem with having avoid using profanity or posting adult themed stuff. I do, however, have a problem with people constantly changing the rules of what is considered spam. I also have a problem mods who misuse their powers. Both seem to be on this site. Now I could simply leave this site, but I won't. I have been here far too long to leave without trying to fight for what I believe in first. This is about more than TGO's asinine topics, this about where the ever moving line is going to stop. If you're gonna close some stupid topics, but others alone, then you need to rethink the way you do things. Humor varies depending on the person viewing something. Spam is for most part the same. So one's judgement can't always be universal.

The point is. Worse stuff than his went on long ago and after misc. And what I can't understand is why I didn't get the memo that said "as of (insert date here) spiderweb will become as boring and dull as desperance has let itself become". Then I could have prepared to fight that, or at the very least find someplace a little less serious. And then perhaps let TGO in on it, so that he wouldn't waste the server space.

Forum site exist only a place to go to when your bored. And since you can discuss games only so much, and cause politics for so long before it gets really boring, we need some sillyness here again. It's bad enough we lost one of the best RPs ever(the origonalNSI), but to lose the silly topics that would have eventually gotten more amusing if given the chance... well, that's just one thing I'm going to fight(mainly cause I have nothing better to do). This is the first forum site I jioned. And I really don't want to leave it unless I have no other(decent) choice.

I never said all of his stuff was funny. But as I said far worse that what he's posted has gone on a long time before dying out. Not locking, dying out. There seems to be a lack of fairness in that. Then again, the world isn't known for being fair.

Btw, I'm not whining. I am merely being loyal to my best friend. Now if you have a problem with that, then you're more than welcomed to continue on with your flaming me. Just understand that you'll get the same treatment back from me.

Why are you people(mods) constantly locking TGO's topics? I've seen far worse go without locking in the past. So why pick on TGO. I don't know about the rest of you, but I personally find some of his stuff funny. I've always thought Spiderweb was about a lack of seriousness. But I guess the server space is the most important thing with the Spiderweb forums these days.

And now I'm gonna see how long it takes for this to jion the locked topics, since it's this kind of stuff that cause me to create my own forums(complete with archieves on every topic made there when they get closed or deleted to save space)

Song of the whenever... in General
Guardian

In an attempt to actually have something on my site to make it worth visiting, I have considered adding a song of the week section, where basically you go there, listen to a good song, and you can see who does it, what it's called, and what album it's off of. This would not only make my site slightly better, but it'd help get some bands a little free advertising. However, after doing some basic math I realized that only about 200 people could listen to the song a month with my alotted bandwidth on Angelfire. So, my solution is to try and shrink down the size via the whatever means possible on my iMac.

Til then, if you have some free time... click here for the song of the however long it takes me to get this situated

"Um, that's all fine and good, but could you just leave us alone and let us get back to planning", Alex said. "Whatever", replied Dralnok as he walked to Sir David. "What was that about" Sir David asked. "Not sure. I think some dudes were playing some sort of strategy game", responed Dralnok. "Strange. Oh well, the drinks are ready", Sir David stated. Dralnok and Sir David start drinking their drinks.

Zips aren't floppies.

And you're missing the point. Some of you are keep bringing out new methods of storing info that will get here eventually. I'm talking about what do we do when we reach the peak of being about to store stuff(which won't happen for a long time). Then again, time is relative. The planet isn't going to be destroyed by pollution any time soon, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try to deal with pollution now.

It's stupid to develop only half of the equation. Once we reach the peak file transfer rate, processor speed, and storage space; we'll have no choice be to figure out how to shrink down the file sizes.

What we need to do is start doing that now, before we absolutely have to.

1. Have you ever heard of .zip, .ace, or .rar files?

2. Have you heard of a program that make those files above even smaller?

3. If not enough space on hard drives, put it on floppy's, CD's, and DVD's, and whatever else they come up with. Or just get a second hard drive.[/QB][/quote]Okay, an idiot knows that a friggin floppy can't hold anything besides a few picts and or some text docs. Also, CDs, Floppies, and DVDs are too easily broken.

And compressed files have to be decompressed to be used. It's not just about storage, it's about storing and using.
