All you need to make a scenario is persistance. Really. Also, it's a ton harder if you're a perfectionist. (That, of course, rules me out.) Oh! Now I get it; those aren't characters, they are scripts. You are probably missing the basicnpc.txt, guard.txt and door.txt scripts. If you aren't, then they are corrupted.
