I prefer windows because it's supported by many more companies than macs are. And also, I find windows easier to work with than the mac os. I remember one time, when a friend and I had to work on a mac here at the school (I'm a "tech cadet"). I took us 30 minutes to figure out how to do what we needed to do (hook it up to the school's internet connection), then another 5 to do so, when, on a windows pc we both could have done it alone, and in 5-10 minutes. -------------------- "We can learn a lot from crayons. Yes, there was. It was where you could post any topic as long as you followed the Code of Conduct. They had to take down the Misc. Forum because it was using up too much bandwidth and their site host made them close it. -------------------- "We can learn a lot from crayons. Does anyone else seem to notice that everybody is apparently using the General forums as a new Miscellaneous forum? I mean, some of these topics are obviously not connected to Spidweb in any way. The general forum isn't supposed to be used for any topic. It's for topics that pertain to Spiderweb software and their games. -------------------- "We can learn a lot from crayons. When I'm bored, I generally listen to AC/DC or play one of the many games on my PC. -------------------- "We can learn a lot from crayons. Why would Microsoft want your private information anyways? -------------------- "We can learn a lot from crayons. Some are short, some are dull, some are sharp, some are tall. quote:Well, what about the anti-Windows Macintosh commercials that used to come on. Almost every word that was on them was false. Like the one that said they couldn't get the digital camera to work on Windows, and instead of spending "all day" to download windows drivers, used a Macintosh instead. (drivers aren't THAT big and the camera should come with drivers.) You don't hear any uproar about them. -------------------- "We can learn a lot from crayons. Actually, I've found visual basic pretty simple to use, if you can manage to find a tutorial for it (they're kinda hard to find) If you don't want 3-d graphics or anything cool like that, then why do you want c++. I've heard it's difficult. -------------------- "We can learn a lot from crayons. Some are short, some are dull, some are sharp, some are tall. How much memory do you have. XP requires 64, but it really needs 128 just for the OS. That might be your problem. -------------------- "We can learn a lot from crayons. Here's 2 things I think BOA should have: The ability to make an item run a script through a special ability, and the ability to change an items abilities through a script. That way, you could have more realistic (or strange) weapons, such as a sword that levels up, or a mace that gives you 500 gold for every 7 golems that you kill.
