The only thing I really SERIOUSLY want in this game is 1 (okay maybe 2) thing(s).

First have the same general features as the previous games (dont screw up a good system).

And make sure that us poor Windows Vista players can actually play it. Don't leave me all alone in this pit of despair! :D

What class in geneforge 4 do you think is the most powerful or most useful? in Geneforge 4: Rebellion

I say either the Life-Crafter or Servile. 'Nuff said.

But I say that you either want to be able to cast a ton of spells and have creatures to back it up, or be able to swing your sword like a madman and have magic to augment said sword swings.

I tried downloading the stupid file, and guess what? My computer said the download would take 10 minutes! And it was still rising. Like I would download that. :D

Seriously is it good enough to download as a 10 minute wait?

I got some trakovite questions. Next play through I will play as a trakovite. What class should I be?
Are trakovites againsts magic too? Can I be a servile and still be trakovite? If a have a choice between only rebel and shaper which do I choose if I want to be trakovite?

That is about it.

Ordering Geneforge in Geneforge Series

I just thought of another stupid(ish) question.

I was thinking about ordering Geneforge 4 and getting Geneforge 1 for $15. (Atleast that is what is says on the ordering screen)

So if I were to do this and later want to buy the Geneforge Trilogy CD would I get a discount off for already having bought Geneforge 1?

EDIT: I just thought of a new question.
If I were to get the Geneforge 4 bundle and the Geneforge 1 PROMO CD is there some sort of tax on the cost? As in if I have exactly $50 would I need slightly more money to pay for a tax or something of some kind?

Geneforge Avernum link? in Geneforge 4: Rebellion

With all the problems in Terrestia I doubt the Shapers would really care about Exile. And the Shapers probably were, at first, in league with the Empire but then overthrew them on the 2 continents the Shapers now control.

In G1, G2, & G3 your character is too busy surviving to care about anything other than the Shapers. And in G4 everyone is to busy with the rebellion to care about the outside world.

That is if you care about such matters. :D

Teleportation isn't really mentioned at all in the Geneforge series. So they didn't have teleportation developed then.

So if there is a connection, Avernum would be second.

Well that seems like saying there isn't a link between-

Wait a minute. Why am I defending something I don't care about? Never mind. :D

Geneforge Avernum link? in Geneforge 4: Rebellion

You know, I generally think that the idea that any cross between Avernum and Geneforge is stupid. I mean seriously. Come on.

But just yesterday I thought of a scenario that would (probably) satisfy your guys' apparent want of a link between them.

First comes Avernum. The Empire desires all alien and monsters killed right? So they succeed. All that is left is normal creatures. They find 2 new continents (one of them being Terrestia(Did I spell that right?) ). Then some idiot Empire dude discovers essence and starts testing on little creatures of the forest and making them into better little creatures of the forest. Word gets out and a group called the Shapers comes up. Then they learn how to acually create creatures from scratch. Then time passes. After that the Shapers set up an outpost on Sucia island. They create canisters and Geneforge.

Viola. Instant scenario explaining a link between the games.

But personally ,like I said in the beginnning, the idea of a link between the games is stupid.

Do with this post what you will.

Maaaan. I started reading the Wikipedia entry and then the first 5 or 6 posts in here and I started feeling nauseous (did I spell that right?) and started shaking. Reading things about diseases and disorders like this really creep me out for some reason. I feel I am going to have nightmares for some reason now. :(

EDIT: Oh my god. I am starting to feel sick now! :(

When Squeegy regains consciousness he notices that 3 Anama members are standing by him.

"What should we do with him?" The Anama member who looks like some sort of leader says

"Can we kill him?" Another Anama member asks.

"No. We question him first." The 3rd Anama member says outloud.

"You. You caused the explosion correct?" The leader says in an imposing booming voice.

"Squeegy's name is NOT you!" Squeegy yells out.

All of the Anama members take a step back. Squeegy gets to his feet. His eyes meet with the leader's.

"Squeegy wants out of here. You will not stop Squeegy!" Squeegy screams. He punches the leader in the face.

"AAGH!! My go- GET HIM!!" erupts from the leader.

The other 2 Anama members pounce on Squeegy. His small heavy body can't withstand the weight of the Anama members and he goes down.

"Let go... of... Squeegy..." Squeegy mumbles as the weight of the Anama members makes him black out.

"Wake up. God damnit! WAKE UP!!!" erupts out of no where. After this something kickes Squeegy in the face.

"What's your problem?" Squeegy says as he slowly rises up.

Squeegy is in another jail cell. But this time he is with 7 other people. They all have weapons. One is thrusting the hilt of a sword in Squeegy's direction. "You want to get out of here right, Squeegy?" one of them says. "I heard you saying 'Squeegy is me, I am Squeegy.' in your sleep."

Squeegy grabs the sword and nods. "Squeegy does indeed want out of here."

"Then help us get out." The person says while nodding.

After about 10 minutes of the other 7 prisoners preparing they all stand up uniformly. "It is time."

"Why should Squeegy help you?"

"Because we can help Squeegy get out of here. And also so we can hopefully get enough people to rebel against the Anama. We were servants, too, like you apparently were. We had also killed our hirer. But unluckily our master was an Anama member. As was yours." one of them says.

"Well now is a better time than ever to start."
"Whew I hope none of us gets injured." The 7 people start talking.

"That's enough. If we are going to rebel we have to start some time." The apparent leader of the prisoners says out loud.

"DEATH TO THE ANAMA!" erupts from the crowd.

I really have no clue how my character would fit into the role playing. When I write I make things sound serious though usually, I suppose, there are a lot of comedic things about it.

I would definitely take suggestions on how to fit my character into the RP. My main reason is that the Vale is probably a very dirty place. Someone has to clean up. It just happens to be a mentally challenged person like my character that does it.

Though I do agree that he does seem sort of out of place.

(Guess I will just start :D )

Squeegy looks around at the unfamiliar surroundings around him. Soon he realized that he had just awoken from a drunken slumber, probably lasting for a few hours. "Squeegy is confused." he says outloud to himself as he scratches his head. He looks around again and notices more of where he is. He is in a dungeon. Probably under some city. As far as he knows.

He slowly rises from his resting spot. He realizes that he isn't hurt. In fact Squeegy feels better that he has in years! He streches his muscles and looks around once more. There isn't a door out. Or a gate. Or fence. Or anything that would let him out. He is in a circular pit. With walls that go up about 10-20 feet.

He stares up at the ledge about 10 feet above him. Someone is standing there. The hooded figure tosses a small item into the pit and disappears. Squeegy looks at the item. It is a small sphere that has strange writing on it. He cocks his head as he studies it. He grabs the sphere to look at it closer. It burns his hand. He throws it in agony at the wall. And the sphere blows up knocking Squeegy unconscious.

Height: 5'
Weight: 150 lbs
Magic: Of course not. Squeegy think magic HORRID!!
Skills: Mopping up messes
Occupation: Medieval Janitor
Small Bio:
Squeegy isn't too bright. Hes pretty dumb. Often speaking in third-person "SQUEEGY IS MAD!!" He was found by some random dude who hired Squeegy as a janitor. Squeegy then proceeded to kill that random dude. But for some odd reason Squeegy still mops up the floor of that building.
