Incase none of you have seen the news, Heath Ledger was found dead in his apartment. He was just 28 years old.

I've only seen one of his roles. (The Patriot)

It seems to me he committed suicide. Certainly a young age to die.

Old news, Salmon and I totally already had a conversation about this.

And while it is a bit early to say, I'm pretty sure they already ruled out suicide. Apparently, he had been having a very hard time sleeping while filming the new Batman movie, and this is well documented. While it may seem a bit ridiculous, it seems the sleeping pill overdose was accidental. Kind of makes sense though: take some pills, pass out for five minutes, wake up, forget you took some already, take some more.

Edit: I wasn't really a fan of most of his movies, but I have high hopes for his swan song.

The wikipedia article hinted that he was down about his recent breakup. But he was naked, so who knows. Maybe he just partied a little too much. Sure looks that way from the picture they have of him. On wiki. Cuz that's where I get all my late-breaking news.

Lots of people are dying this year. Sir Edmund Hillary, Bobby Fischer, Ledger.

So, now's a good time to place your bets. Who else is going to die by the end of 2008?

At least one of the following: John Cleese, Michael Caine, Mikhail Gorbachev, James Earl Jones, Jimmy Carter, Rock 'n Roll. Perhaps casting the net wide will result in a catch, perhaps not. I hope not, actually.

I intend to live forever or die trying.

There's only one left anyway. Paul, George, and John are all gone anyway. Luckily, it's the best one that's survived.

News came yesterday. The President of the Latter-Day Saints kicked the bucket. After a breif glance at Wikipedia, the guy who designed It's A Small World, two supercentenarians, and the founder of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine have all kicked it this year.

Anyways, I'll make a few predictions before it's too late:
-A Former President, let's say Carter
-Children's Dreams
-An older movie actor

The Beatles were never that good anyway. Actually, they sort of ruined British music.

Beg all you want, the only reasons the Beatles made it to the big show was because they were cute and they were put on American tv. Without that, they were just another Chumbawumba.

Quoted for sheer hilarity. And Paul is dead. He came to me in a dream last night.

"Just another Chumbawamba"? How many Chumbawambas are there? The Beatles weren't exactly releasing anarchist records...

And, of course, the usual metaphor of John as the priest, Ringo as the undertaker, and George as the gravedigger still applies.
