You of all people should approve. Cults are an easy way for the strong to turn the weak into tools. Not only that, they're happy tools. —Alorael, who even sees the cult hierarchy as the perfect system for placing everyone in a talent-appropriate position. Trust in your implants and your faith; all shall be made right in the end. (Freedom is slavery!) Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

It's not your means I question. It's your motive. Whatever that may be. Whatever it is, I'm sure it's horrible, terrifying, apocalyptic and overall pointless. -------------------- You lose. Posts: 2156 | Registered: Thursday, August 24 2006 07:00 |

*looks at the other topic* That's uhh… that's really interesting, guys. Honestly though. I like it. In a sick, terrifying way, it's kind of clever. -------------------- Do not provoke the turtles. I miss the days when I could adore Stugie and his ferrets, and still be blissfully unaware of the Cult's workings. And didn't understand anything Members said. Now, even "Blue?" makes me want to grab lead piping, robes, and travel back in time to tomorrow. -------------------- And when you want to Live How do you start? Where do you go? Seeing that topic, I am ever thankful I was not a member when that was going on. I am further thankful that I have not posted a picture of myself, in case someone decides to start it up again. -------------------- I tried to think of something witty to put here. I wold say that multiplayer would only kill the spirt of avernum. It wouldn't be so free after all because avernum is about freedom. And jeff really put his time and effort into that freedom and it would be like to capture a bird for it's beautiful songs because and when it is in a cage the bird will not sing because you would have broken it's heart . :( -------------------- You can jump off a bridge, fire a gun in your mouth, drink poison,or going in to the tiger's pit but you will still end up dead it's a mater of time and how . Nice metaphor, but the caged bird DOES sing. Look at Oscar Wilde :P -------------------- And when you want to Live How do you start? Where do you go? Who do you need to know? *Name by Slarty, so blame him if it's filthy... Posts: 2864 | Registered: Monday, September 8 2003 07:00 |

Actually, look at Sweeney Todd and Thomas Hardy's "The Blinded Bird." Not only do birds sing when caged, they sing when their eyes are removed. Just saying. —Alorael, who will hear no more of this anti-cult nonsense. You have the right to refuse implants, but that won't save you when GC2 comes. I will not rest until the mighty kumquat is brought into the Cult. Really, no cult, conspiracy theory, or hoax is complete unless a kumquat is involved. -------------------- Of course, your mother wanted you to be a wizard, but nooooo.
