I'm empty on ideas, this is the first time I've seen you. I'm wondering if I've got a stereotype.

Why should I say somthin intelligent when idiots like you make me look intelligent in the first place.

I just realized something terrible.

This thread is no different from any other General thread. In fact, it's the pure essence of General.

What is Spiderweb but a reality show? Are we really all hollow, one-dimensional 8-bit characters composed of nothing but our stereotypes and idiosynchrasies?

This,if was still here, would of been forced to move to the Miscellaneous boards (does anyone else remember them) and the General was pretty much just concerning the Spiderweb company back in the day.

Now now. General has been this way (and Misc has been gone) since before I came here, and that time period makes up close to 2/3 of the UBB's history now.* Won't it be time soon to call Misc the Old General?

No, the old General is pretty much gone and General is now the new Misc.

I probably didn't make the joke clear enough. If I remember correctly, an ancient Zen koan warns against explaining jokes, but still:

The consensus is that "General" is now the "New Misc".

Since Misc was alive for a bit over one year of the four and a half years of UBB, and General has taken its place for the rest of the time (more than three years), General has been "Misc" far longer than Misc has existed.

Therefore, it would be more accurate to call Misc the "Old General" instead of calling General the "New Misc". :P

It's not that ancient, seeing as how you made it up a few days ago.

Busted.

Well, relatively ancient. In terms of the half-life of Roentgenium. :P

Yes. I figured that it was best not to encourage TM.

Oh, but we are. And this is. Except that the winner doesn't end up with a ridiculous sum of money.

Just flames.

—Alorael, who will confess to lacking his winning personality and charming manner in person. He is, in fact, an incorrigible curmudgeon, a lout, and a cad. He's also brutish, unwashed, and ignorant. His brow is remarkably low and protrudes somewhat.

I don't know what I am, apart from TM's child, I imagine...

In fact, I'm not whatever people describe me as.

I probably have a stereotype, but I'm not really sure what it would be.

I thought about this one for a while so I might just be right.
I think (as stated above)that the only possible stereotype you could give me. Would be that I like to change geneforge scripts.
Or am I mistaken?

All I am is stereotype. Truthfully, I have no form or shape in that No one wants to see the real me. I am Anything and everything. The only way to percieve me in in the eye of the beholder. Unless you know Truth itself enough to see my real form because I DO have one. Seeing as how my life is trademarked by others bias perception and unwillingness to listen to me to get to know me, I am whoever anyone choses to see me as in their individual minds.

And believe me, I have in life so many opposing misinterpreted things assumed about me that no one thing said here on these boards by anyone other than me or someone who believes me has any reality to it at all. Of course you could get lucky and get one thing right, it has to happen someday. Quite interesting, yes? And its funny also that in real life every last person I've ever me has admited that they've never seen such an enigma as me.

I dug in the PPP-archives ( :D vivat Aran!) and found several stereotypes about myself:

She says she's back from Blocksberg. She must be german. - ef
Take your hippy self-righteousness and shove it. - Djur
Part of the permanent adversarial minority, are we? - Alec
I have a feeling you are looking at us from your lofty throne somewhere ... - Dareva
I like spy.there's and dareva's personalities, they are definitely funny. -pharaun (edited typos)
(spy.there's) contribution was slightly more than negligible... -Alorael
You and cats have taste. - Saunders

Though there has been plenty more about Alec or TM or Aran, well, about anybody. :P Maybe I should dig again?

That could be because the three of us post far too much. It entrenches us more deeply in our stereotypes.

One solution is to post less. Impossible.

The other is to steal gimmicks and habits from everyone else, until they obscure your own stereotypes.

Which leads Arancaytar inevitably to the following: Stolah u kulamé. Also, do not call him cute or

DIE.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

—Arancaytar, who couldn't resist.

What's the last one? I get it's to do with cookies, but not the rest. "Cookies are good"?

On that note, I don't think you ever explained "Xa madatuné kaist kulta", either.

Edit: ^^^ As said by Arancaytar, the wannabe linguist.

Yes, it is "cookies are good". "Xa madatune kaist kulta" is "I love my cello". "Mult charach" is "must kill", but you didn't hear that. :P

I've been called many things:

A mop
A stupid cow
a fat guy with a moustache
a mindless child
cousin it
a guy-that-can't-lick-his-own-tongue
a chinese petafile
a jokeless comedian
and a bald teenager

(btw, the last 5 aren't true... at least not 100%)
