Hmm. Well, it's not as if it's a huge change, but it does look smoother now. -------------------- My BoE Page Bandwagons are fun! Roots Hunted! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

I liked the other menu... :( But I agree it does look a lot smoother now. It's just that the light-brown color wood theme looked better than Avernum's blue-green thing. More natural. Btw, the old design is still available in the google-cache of the site: here. Edit: In fact, Jeff has gone to great lengths to preserve the original template - by changing the capitalization of the image filenames. :D I wonder if what we're looking at is a permanent change or just some fiddling around. I don't really care, except the new logo no longer matches the name Spiderweb very well. I was very surprised when the page took a while to load, though. I wasn't expecting to actually have new images to download instead of the usual cached assortment. —Alorael, who will incidentally point out a new interview as well. Mostly advertisement, but it has a smidgeon of information as well. A small smidgeon. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

I quite love it actually. The colours are definitely a lot nicer than they were before, and the top banner is very funky. So far i think it's the best layout out of the ones that i've seen. Does the jungle type one still exist somewhere? I've never seen the first layout either and i'd be curious to see them again. -------------------- "This......is a TREE! Ew. This one would be much better if it weren't for the ugly tiled 'Spiderweb Software' logo in the background- at least with the old one you didnt notice it so much. Posts: 70 | Registered: Sunday, December 19 2004 08:00 |

Seems like an improvement, although I never felt that there was anything wrong with the old layout. -------------------- Stughalf "Delusion arises from anger. The mind is bewildered by delusion. I like the new layout, except for the white strip in between, "Home" and "Our Games". -------------------- I am the way into the doleful city I am the way into eternal grief, I am the way to a foresaken race. So, it's okay to make Blades of Avernum and "Blades of Geneforge" (or something like it), so we can make thousands of our own scenarios, but the guy who made the games can't.... why again? -------------------- I often quote myself. I don't understand why a lot of people hate Geneforge. It's certainly a lot more fun than most BoE/BoA scenarios. -------------------- "At times discretion should be thrown aside, and with the foolish we should play the fool." - Menander ==== Drakefyre's Demesne - Happy Happy Joy Joy desperance.net - We're Everywhere ==== You can take my Mac when you pry my cold, dead fingers off the mouse! Well, for one thing, it'd be nice to see Jeff make something with a plot that didn't somehow centre around a rebellion. -------------------- My BoE Page Bandwagons are fun! Roots Hunted! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

I love the graphics, although it's only on rare occasions that I go to the main site. Usually I just come here. And as for GF3 - seperate isles? Does that mean we'll have an outdoors of sorts, or will there just be links to different islands? -------------------- "I am a living sign..." Thus endeth this post. quote:Well, GF games cost $30 whereas BoE scenarios are dirt cheap on a per scenario basis. The expectations are higher, and there are some BoE scenarios that are better than any Geneforge game. Oh yes, I have a funny feeling there will be a Geneforge 4. -------------------- Your flower power is no match for my glower power!! Posts: 3726 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2001 07:00 |
