If the person asking the question knows it already, then there is no point in alluding to that which is already known. If the person asking the question doesn't know your opinion, then you should state it not just allude to it.

What i meant was that if he had an answer (even intuition), he should have either given it or said nothing. Rather than saying well i think i know but i'm not sure. Actually he could have said that as long as what he thought followed, but it didn't.

on a diffrent note... Can u cause an item (namely a sword or pole etc...) to break or become cursed upon impact with a certain creature. I'm not talking about making the item so that its breakable, i'm talking about making a creature that can break/curse swords.

well there goes my whole futuristic 4-way world war idea lol. Seriously though, thanks for the article. I was planning on doing this huge scenario before, but when i started making maps, and dialogue, and step by step plot, i decided it was too long, and time consuming, etc... Now i'll probably just try to make a small, simple, but intresting scenario.

I like the idea of more varied high-level monsters. Fighting dragons (or vanhati lords in ranged), from level 40 (or was it 45) onwards, gets pretty boring.

Your Favorite Small Details In A Scenario in Blades of Avernum

as far as minor details are concerned... I enjoy when there is a lot of realism in a scenario. Examples include, boxes and chests that are not only just there, but actually contain items (as frivilous as the items may be. Also i despise when there are many bookshelfs in which only one contains anything.

Article - bjlhct2 On Scenario Design pt 1: Linearity in Blades of Avernum

In general i enjoy open-ended scenarios. I like the ability to chose what i'm gonna do. However, unless an open-ended scenario is made very very well (almost perfectly), i find myself lost. I have no idea where to go or what to do. I keep wandering around untill i find something. So unless a designer is willing to go that extra miles (probably more than a mile), to make an open-ended scenario, with direction, he should probably stick with linearity (although not to linear (i.e. i enjoyed canopy but i hated the lack of freedom).

although priest/fighter is necassery, a mage is still extremly usefull in tough fights. Sircularim and capture mind are 2 ways a mage can be a tremendous advantage against powerfull people.

if anything you write or make would get an autmoatic copyright, then reallym nothing would need a copyright or a patent. It costs money to get those. You don't get them automatically.

Is there a way to make 3-way dialogue? Like you're talking to a person you meat (not in cutscenes), and then a charector who joined your party has stuff to say.

I think its wrong what overwhelming is doing, but it's not really illegal. Its not as though you actually have a copyright or patent to your works. As long as he acknowledges that its your work, there's really nothing illegal about it. But you're right that it is wrong, and he should probably be punihsed (like the whole banning thing) untill he changes his policy.
