Yarr. In fact, I hate it when people thrown in needless fighting. I hate fighting of any sort, really, so the needless kind doubly annoys. Sigh. David, maybe it's just that I don't care enough about RPing. Maybe Spiderweb is a good place for RPing. Maybe. But I'm not ready to help a big omigawsh restore the wonderful and dying art of spidweb RPing before it is XTINKT project. Because I never liked what Spiderweb RPs I did see. I frankly wouldn't care that I'd helped 'bring about the death' of a genre of RPs, as I wouldn't have been destroying anything intentionally, and Spiderweb RPs don't really matter to me. Nor do they matter to a lot of people on General. MSW, I wouldn't say I was 'judging' you, etcetera. I never said you joined solely for the RPs. I said it seemed as if you were here, i.e. staying, only for the RPs. I do not know or care how you joined; my point was that you did come here, and... what Alec said. There are boards which are created especially for RPs. Spiderweb is not one of them. There are boards which people visit solely to participate in RPs. Spiderweb is not one of them. Yes, people have created several RPs here. But most have eventually dissolved into bickering or a natural death. Yes, there are good writers here. There are good writers on lots of other boards, but they don't create RPs there. I know you know about Polaris (first link in sig), which has RPing. There are other boards, perhaps more successful than Polaris, (try Santharia, in Aran's sig) out there as well which are fairly accessible. Since you seem to come here only for the RPing, I was merely suggesting that you would perhaps be more at home at a board where all the members are focussed on that. I guess your disorder might prove obstructing, but, well... how did you find Spiderweb? EDIT: Re Thuryl's post: Oops, yeah... maybe you remember Rosycat? I registered December 2002, I think. Spiderweb is not a board for RPs. It doesn't work out. There are too many people coming and going, there are too many members who make forty posts and disappear, too many people who don't really give a toss about RPing but think it's cool for about five posts. There are too many feuds and too many differing opinions. Quit whining and go somewhere where there is a single, dedicated community of people who live for RPs. EDIT: Also, boring and useless are subjective adjectives. And just because there are no RPs here doesn't mean it's inactive. It means RPs are inactive. Gawd.
