Tom Bombadil? I remember that name from somewhere, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Is he that crazy rhyming guardian of the forest in the Fellowship of the Ring.

EDIT: You misspelled sequel.

Actually Tom Bombadil is the freaky dude which saves the hobbits from being eaten by a willow tree in the first volume. He is the oldest. That means that he was there before Druin The Deathless or even Fangorn. He is strong , magically, but is carefree.

First of all, it's Durin the Deathless. Secondly, the bit about Fangorn and Bombadil and their respective ages is a matter of debate.

I think the people Vahnatai_Hell_Fyre and Garrison are talking about are the same person.

Ya we are talking about the same guy. Sorry about the misspell of Durin. And Elrond and Celebron themself say that Tom is the oldest. Am not sure but even Fangorn calls him the Oldest... Dosent he
? He is also called the oldest by Elrond and Gorfindel in The Silmarillion.

There's a lunatic fringe of LotR fans who claim Tom Bombadil is really the Witch-King of Angmar.

**spoiler**

At the end of A3,rentar says something about a curse that will affect the children, right? In VODT,the curse effects the children the worst, correct? And the vahnatai(sp?) in the school vanish without any notice. Maybe they could've put all the little notes you find in the desks there! so,i think a VODT II might make sense.....

I'm pretty sure that Rentar is talking about future generations. It would take her pretty long to rebuild her power base and garner more support for another attack on the Empire. She's pretty much disgraced after A3.

Well if you happen to notice the Avernum games are based off the Exile games that Jeff made. So if anyone should thank of a squeal they should talk to Jeff and see if he will first do make in on the Exile format.

If he DOES make a #4 in Exile format, I'lkl just wait for it to be out in Avernum format. Anyway, why should he waste his time on that degraded system? The new one's out, it's better, It's harder, i'ts more fun (so laong as you stay alive). So, he shouldn't reeally do it.

ANd Jeff, If you're reading this (which I severely doubt) PLEASE don't make an Exile 4. If you have to, make Avernum 4 first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I find owning monsters in one hit to be much easier than the exiles combat system.
