quote:Gizmo is my formal moniker, Jewels is a self-assigned nickname. I left out my religous beliefs on this matter on purpose. Whether or not homosexuality is morally wrong is a moot point because there are many ways for heterosexuality to be morally wrong as well. It being right or wrong does not change whether you find it pleasurable or not. Maybe less so for feelings of guilt but if it feels good, it feels good regardless. I don't think orientations are intentionally convertable, you get what you get and you don't throw a fit, but the orientation may change on it's own due to life experiences, body changes, hormone fluxuations, etc. There is no telling, though, what specific life experience would influence a change or which way the experience will swing the pendulum until after the fact. Thus no way to effectively 'rehabilitate' if that's what you want to call it. To address Kel's question, not all external pressure is bad. I would say the pressure to eat right even though you really crave those potato chips and chocolate chip cookies is a good pressure. It's only at the extremes that it gets dangerous. The pressure to be so thin that you starve yourself, for example. Getting back to sex, the pressure to abstain until marriage I view as good. It prevents multiple diseases, unwanted pregnancies and abortions that inevidably follow, and emotional baggage from relationships gone wrong or regrets from any of the previous. The pressure not to be gay, or not to act gay does have it's rewards. Avoiding the persecution for one, which even though it shouldn't exsist, does. Then there are the same benefits as abstanence of preventing multiple diseases and emotional baggage. There is also procreation to keep in mind. So one must weigh the pros and the cons, which could entail denying yourself pleasure, engaging in unplesant activities, not having an intimate relationship you would have enjoyed, etc. It depends on what you really want out of life and ultimately is an individual's perogative to want change. I'd call it very healthy for someone to want to change their orientation for the purpose of procreation and traditional family. Traditional family is not neccessesary, but it is often desired. Bah, everybody's bi. Most just don't know it. Tastebuds change over time, but they can't be forced to change. If you don't like how peppers taste, you don't like the experience of tasting them. I would argue that sexual preferences can also change over time, but any attempt to speed up the process would inevidably just lead to more bad experiences. The same thing that determines their favorite color, food and hobby. Did you try it/ think about trying it? Did you enjoy it/ enjoy thinking about it? A plesant experience leads to preference for that experience. I've tried peppers dozens of times over my lifetime. Almost every time was unplesant, thus a dislike for peppers. I gave them another try just this week and found they weren't that bad. Tastebuds change, preferences change. Plesant/unplesant experiences can change preferences. -------------------- "Even the worst Terror from Hell can be transformed to a testimony from Heaven!" - Rev. Plus with BoX it really depends on the scenario. There are a handful out there that give you significantly different stories based on what you do in the scenario. Jeff's A Small/Mild Rebellion gives you two sides to join and you can only join one without starting over. Tatterdemalion has three... Which just goes to show, you can never please everyone. ;) Dylan starts school in two years. Maybe when I have no kids at home I'll be able to turn them out faster and do more then the three. I surely won't have anything better to do by then. And since when were you a Dollop of Whipped Cream? I haven't started another one. I have a different scenario in the 'works' that I want to finish before starting another or else I'll just have the beginning of lots of scenarios and no finished products. I turned this one into a Prologue really just to get it off my plate. But, yea. The plan was to do more. I want to finish Redwall, do Martin the Warrior, and Salamandastron at least. Don't expect anything anytime soon though. It took me two years for the beginning of the first, remember. -------------------- "Even the worst Terror from Hell can be transformed to a testimony from Heaven!" - Rev. Ok, first you talk to the Abbot and tell him the 'Churchmouse' Family could use some leftovers, then keep talking until you've agreed to give them a ride home in the haycart. Then you ask Constance to pull the 'haycart', you ask Mr. Churchmouse if they will accept the ride on the 'haycart', and you ask Cornflower if she would like to join you in the 'haycart' since she lives that way anyway. When you have done these four triggers, you stretch your legs by moving out of your chair and back into it. Hugo will have the fish you caught brought out and you can just enjoy the rest of the ride. -------------------- "Even the worst Terror from Hell can be transformed to a testimony from Heaven!" - Rev. You need to talk to people. Four people have triggers to take you to the next stage. Start with the Abbot and work from there. If you've talked to everybody, try 'stretching' your legs. -------------------- "Even the worst Terror from Hell can be transformed to a testimony from Heaven!" - Rev. The feast starts when your duties are finished. There are four things you need to do but only three are chores. I thought I had the food say you had too many ingredients when you picked up more then two. I'll check it. In the meantime, look for the recipe book, it'll help. The scroll task was designed to be gotten wrong if done too quickly. Take a closer look at ones right on the edge. The Abbot has gone to attend to other duties until the feast starts. -------------------- "Even the worst Terror from Hell can be transformed to a testimony from Heaven!" - Rev. I've been using Firefox for over a year now v1.0.7 currently, but it won't run on IE v6 either. The only software needed is Java which, as stated, has been reinstalled from their download location. I looked for a crash log breifly and didn't find one, but I did find that logging was disabled previously. So I enabled it and will try again tomorrow since I need to get to bed tonight. Thanks for help so far. And I've tried every suggestion in Yahoo's FAQ. Ever since I switched from cable modem to DSL, I've not been able to open Yahoo!Pagebuilder. I of course attributed it to the switch and started combing my browser settings and prefresences which hadn't changed, my computer security and firewall settings which hadn't changed, and even uninstalled and reinstalled Java to no avail. The exception I keep getting is NullPointerException and, with a quick search, found that the script is trying to reference a null object. (I think) So my question then: Is this something Yahoo! has to fix and I should contact them, or did I miss something else on my end? Thank you for your help. ---------------------------- -------------------- "Even the worst Terror from Hell can be transformed to a testimony from Heaven!" - Rev. quote:At least it says they do on the Submission Page. It's not on the Untried table at any rate. quote:Is this new? You can't possibly do this. Staying with the same theme, there are three scenarios in a category, two are basically equal and one is terrible. If the two that are equal result in a real tie, they are both eliminated and the terrible scenario wins. Suggestions for change: Appoint an official tie-breaker. Use CSR's averaged scores. Use CSR's highest score given. Just give them both first(or whatever they tied for) and skip giving a second(next) place. I like the 0-10 ranking for regular categories, but the best to worst for final round. -------------------- "Even the worst Terror from Hell can be transformed to a testimony from Heaven!" - Rev.
