What is the time period of Avernum 4?

i.e is it based after A3? and if it is, why arent the avernites on the surface?

Im sure this has been established already but I wasn't sure so I thought I'd ask.

In that case, I'll drop in more often. Nice to see you again at any rate, X.

That's a point, was it true that you were in the paras? If you were then I rate you beyond all the praise that is of this Earth.

Iain Banks is a fantastic writer, I have three of his books (paltry I know, but I have just picked up the series).

K.A. Applegate was quite good at one time, but that was some years ago. I've grown out of the Everworld series now.

X was in the paras? I give him my ultimate respect. How old is he anyway? Where did he serve?

At any rate, I don't like the look of berets in general, but the spiderweb design looked too fashionable french for my taste.

Chaz was on Ikonboard
Old Chaz is UBB

But I can't remember my (exact) member number from the Ikonboard. Very low if I recall but there is no member's list so I can't check it up (and at any rate it would only be for UBB).

Nye: You can find Tom Holt in any decent Waterstones or Books ECT.
You live in Halifax? I could send you a few of mine, if you wish. I've read them already and won't need them again.

Equal Rites, that was the one I forgot. I only really like the Death and Rincewind stories, the Faculty (Unseen University) is also quite good, and the Ankh-Morpork Watch series is competent, although less about comedy.

I cherished each and every Douglas Adams book, my favourite being the Total Perspective Vortex book (I forget the exact name, it's been a long time since reading them).

You should read The Falcon's Malteser, by Anthony Howrovizt, it's extremely funny.

I listened to the entire Hitchhiker collection in it's original form (the English radio play). I then read the book. All brilliant stuff from start to finish.

Of Pratchett, I believe I have read (in no particular order):

The Colour of Magic
The Light Fantastic
Interesting Times
Reaper Man
The Hogfather
The Last Continent
Guards! Guards!
Clay Feet
The Fifth Elephant
Jingo
The first in the witch series (I forget the name)

Tom Holt is a brilliant British writer, hilarious and sardonic in every point.

Something tells me that the names Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams and Tom Holt will be well recieved on this board.

Just a guess, mind.

Hmm, maybe it wasn't member 27. 28?

I looked everywhere for the member profile 'Chaz' with any posts by it, but none came up. I've forgotten what I called my topics at the time and at any rate the account has most likely been deleted, member number and all. I heard the those visiting the UBB had to re-register, I'm not sure what the story is there.

At any rate, I registered before you so called banned Triad mages. :P

The random arm spasms can be a hinderence when typing, also, especially when I'm holding my bread knife. It can cut more than bread, I can tell you.

A famous idea.

I remember that Bush topic. Quite the thing going at the time.

Between the time I joined and the time I left, I believe there were...:

The four main boards
The Exile Trilogy and BoE boards
Geneforge
Avernum
NetherGate

I think that's about it, although I may be missing something. The poor blob of grey matter inside my skull that dares to call itself a brain is not good at remembering things, like birthdays and my name and such.

My thoughts exactly, but not hard to solve. Simply a little shading on the dress will give in the same gloomy look as the rest of the picture.

Or does she stand out so much because she radiates magic in a dark place? Hmm....

It would be bad manners to ask Jeff. We can only make an educated guess therefore.

I remember (on the Ikonboard, I think) someone suggesting that since Exile: EFTP was so old, maybe the price should be knocked down a little, seeing as it was the same cost as Exile III. The member was rebuked and the idea was never brought up again. Happy times.

Although I can fully understand why missing these comforts would be a great loss to you, but I'm sure the Mental Ward would allow you a rifle, but you'd need to find a way out your initialed straight jacket.

Ah, but are custom titles not the route to salvation in the universe as we know it? After some millenia of hard concentration and contemplation of the matter, I think you'll find that a padded cell is the most comfortable place to be; peace and quiet, cushioned walls and all the mashed banana you can eat.
