I am sorry for your bad karma and hope, the times change soon for you. Nevertheless I dare to bother you (or somebody else, who could give me a hint) with a silly question about graphics formation. In Louvre you write that gif is preferred. When I change my jpgs to gifs, a lot of colours are spoiled. So I sent the graphics as jpgs. What are you doing with jpgs? Is there a special trick to transfer a jpg into gif without loss? I work with Photoshop. Any advice is appreciated. -------------------- Slartucker: * facepalm facepalm facepalm * Dikiyoba: Are you unconscious yet? Posts: 1420 | Registered: Wednesday, October 2 2002 07:00 |

TM, did you get my two new monsters? And the undamaged tentacle monster? edit: And could you (or somebody) explain me the mystery of graphic formats. What are you doing with sent jpgs? Change them to gif? When I tried to make gifs, I had to re-paint them, because the original colors were lost.. I still have some unfinished graphics and would like to send them (out of competition). What's your advice to formation? I work with Adobe Photoshop 5.0. I had problems to convert them to gif and sent them in jpg and pdf. Are they accepted too? TM what time exactly is the deadline? Midnight? I still have some unfinished graphics ... :( You would not postpone the deadline for one day, non? Well, I'll send them nevertheless, out of competition then ^_^ -------------------- Slartucker: * facepalm facepalm facepalm * Dikiyoba: Are you unconscious yet? quote:I agree that the difference, Switzerland makes between tax crime and tax defraud is an unfair sophism. We should of course stop to support tax avoidance and give other countries the aid of law in this matter. The pressure to do so is already high: from EU-countries, the USA, our socialist and green factions, some welfare and benefical organisations and churches. Give it some years and the bank-arcanum will fall. (The disadavantage of direct democracies is slowness -_^) -------------------- ^ö^ vegetarians are sexy. quote:Switzerland is too small, to be an agrarian country, thus we have pharmaceutical industry, precision tools, assurances and ... banking. Worldwide you can find only a few banks, who are not involved into dirty business. Cleaning black and drug money, taking bloody money from dictators is not typical for Switzerland, but for financial places - think of Singapore, Honk-Kong, New York, Luxembourg, Cayman-Islands, Bermudas, London and other offshore centers. I assume that Switzerland might be the most correct of all. Our "banking arcanum" is obsolete, if the owner of an account is accused of crime. They freeze the money until the end of the current investigation and give it back to the people, organisations, whatever. For example Marcos' millions have been freezed until the new government of Philippines had a distribution plan for the money. Believe me, the laws for Swiss banks are restrictive. Our Bankers have nightmares about the loss of clients towards "safer" places. quote:DD is working well in our 7 millions community. AFAIK you have already a kind of DD in California or Oregon (if you can talk about democracy in a plutocratic, corrupted system ...). edit: I am glad that we have not to quarrel with the EU (well, we do have bilateral negotiations etc.). We'll join the club when the EU will be like Switzerland ^_^ [ Saturday, September 25, 2004 14:08: Message edited by: spy.there ] -------------------- ^ö^ vegetarians are sexy. quote:We have direct democracy since 1848. In plebiscites they ask us what we want, what shall happen with our taxes, whether highways are built or not, whether cultural support should increase or not. We can change laws by right of initiative and obligatory referendum - we have, AFAIK, the real sovereignty of people. America on the other hand has become a "democratic" embedded plutocracy. Salute. -------------------- ^ö^ vegetarians are sexy. Posts: 1420 | Registered: Wednesday, October 2 2002 07:00 |

quote:Could it be Alec, that you are an intrinsical cynic? Yes, I am mostly with the minority, it's my nature, I hate masses. You wanted to say, a demonstration is a bad service for the cause? FBM is right, you cannot understand it. Neither car-free cities nor solar power. You are a true American = ecological illiterate. Riibu, I went by bicycle my whole life. I even have no drivers licence and never missed a car. Biking saves some physical training ^_^ edit: WS, It was a legal demonstration, escorted from the police, the cars had to wait a few minutes only. They are accustomed to wait because they wait every day in traffic jams, caused by them selves. It's anyhow stupid to drive car in the city, since everything is reachable faster by public transportation or bike. Who was celebrating 22th of September? I was at a bicycle-demonstration; we delayed the traffic for about two hours. I drew with chalk huge bikes in the middle of the streets. Next year I might use spray paint - it remains longer :D -------------------- ^ö^ I was a cannibal for twenty-five years. For the rest I have been a vegetarian. Ah ... for that reason the boards have been so empty recently ... Indeed, I just found out, that I missed you. Welcome back Aran and congrats to your MATA apprenticeship. ^_^ But be careful with welcome-back-topics. Draconian Drakey and other mods started a tough purge of General board and don't hesitate, to fling randomly with cans. -------------------- ^ö^ I was a cannibal for twenty-five years. Hey FBM, you got a custom title, congrats! And Rowen too o_o I never could see a big difference between your spam and the spam of some other posters, I could laugh a lot about your flaming - thus this title might be more a respect. Be proud ^_^ Rowen even got it with only 90 posts, woah. I wonder, why he hides his rating now. -------------------- ^ö^ vegetarians are sexy.
