Silent Motion BoE Posse Member # 15	written Monday, March 17 2003 05:24 Profile Homepage #26 Here's the issue (correct me if I'm wrong, folks): If you design a PC graphic, you are best off using the default, Avernum III chairs when you design the PC sitting down. If you use another type of chair, the chair will morph from the default chair to the chair you designed when the PC sits down. This will look strange. The alternative is to design a chair graphic to be inserted into the scenario the PC will be used in. The weakness to this is if people want to use the PC graphic in other scenarios, they must also use your chair graphic - or suffer the Morphing Chair Syndrome (MCS). So, you are probably best off just using the default chair for PC graphics - at least for now. -------------------- All that we see, or seem, is but a dream within a dream. But what if you decide to use a different type of chair? Is there a way around including the chair itself in the PC graphic, as Kennedy suggests? If not, it will look quite strange when your custom chair morphs into the default A3 chair every time your character sits! Name the original graphic in all lowercase. Name the thumbnail graphic the same as the full one, adding a th on the end of the name, just before the file name extension. Example: myfile.gif myfileth.gif If you have a giant graphic, please combine both sheets into one file, as I did with the dragon example already on the site. If you want to provide an animation of the graphic (like an NPC attacking), it must be an animated GIF. Add an a on the end of the name, just before the file name extension. Example: myfilea.gif This will ensure success of the site. I may not have time to process graphics not ready to go.
